2ww...

Post by kbat » Sun Feb 24, 2008 2:37 am

Hi I just had my e/t today. Unfortunately, I only had one embie to transfer :( , but I am still hoping for the best. I had a 2 day transfer my embrie was rated 4BF, which is in the range they like to see for 2nd day... I supposed it could be worse. Out of 6 tries (this being my 6th one) 2 of them I had no e/t either because of no fertilization or poor egg quality....

I am now on my 2ww and go for my pregnancy test on March 6. I find that this 2ww is hard and if anyone else would like to join me in the wait, I would welcome who ever else is waiting!!!

Best of luck to everyone. Lots of sticky baby dust to all!!!! :D :D

Good luck to you as well. I hope we are successful. I've had 6 of these now, and my insurance only covers up to 6, so whatever happens, happens. I've tried to prepare myself to whatever happens, but I know I will still be disappointed if it doesn't work out. So needless to say, keeping my fingers crossed for both of us!!! :D :D

I am waiting, too, ladies. Any of you going to test early? I hear for a 3day transfer you can test on Day 11. I've been thinking about it, but the hubby adamently opposes.

Are you guys exercising during the 2ww? I have been doing the elliptical, walking, and doing yoga (not all in the same day:>).

Good Luck Kate! I am at the end of my 2ww. 2 frozen guys transfereed. I did take a HPT on 11 dpt and 12 dpt and they were negative. I get a blood test tomorrow,, i don't have high hopes. In fact, it would be a miracle :)

I do think that this being my second time, i am glad i did the HPT as it prepared me for the worst, but still lets me hope for the best. I am wishing you good luck!!!!!

For hpt, I think it depends on what kind of cycle you do. If you do a fresh one, then the trigger shot can mess up the results of the hpt--from what I hear (ie give you a false +/-). I've heard some people do them, but others don't. I personally haven't ever done one because all mine have been fresh and I think the hpt wouldn't give me an accurate reading anyway. Plus, the first 2 cycles, I ended getting a full regular af (not spotting) about 2 or 3 days before the pregnancy test. So, I guess I had the mother nature pregnancy test. This last one, I had an etopic, and I am not sure what the hpt would have shown. It's difficult to wait--the worse part of the whole process if you ask me. I have so much hope that it'll work, and when/if it doesn't work out, it's such a let down. Given that this was my last cycle, I really have high hopes.

This cycle I am not doing any exercise mainly because I am back to work and haven't been able to get to the gym at all. In the past, I've done some "walking" on the treadmill or the bike. I personally skipped the weights and elipitical--mainly because my clinic told me to avoid heavy lifting and strenuos excercising. It'll be interesting to see if exercise or lack thereof will have any affect on my overall outcome.

FREAKING OUT RE: EXERCISE

So, my RE doesn't think that you need to stop your workout routine. The day of (b/f the AT) and the next three days I did 1 hour on the elliptical. I wasn't going crazy, but did I ruin my chances???

Are any of you exercising? Oh I hate myself now!

I think its all what your body is used to. If you are in shape and an athlete I think most drs will say non concussive exercise is ok (they told me it was ok to do everything except run for the first few weeks after ET). I took it easy the first few days cause my folks were in town and we were busy doing things.

My RE said there is no difference in their experience in 24 hours bed rest and 3 days bed rest. So I lay on the sofa for 24 hours and then carried on with my life.

I don't think they want out of shape people starting a new exercise routine though.

Honestly, half of the stuff they tell you is just so you dont blame yourself if it doesnt work. Like the no sex thing. He said its probably fine but if you would blame the sex if you dont get preg, then dont have sex. Etc...

I specifically asked my RE if it was okay to exercise the 2nd week as I didn't plan on exercising this first week. She said if it was her, she wouldn't. She also said that if it was a different RE sitting there giving me an answer, that it may be different.

I have chosen not to. There seems to be differing views on whether to exercise or not and I figure I have put myself through this much, why risk it. It won't kill me to take a 2 week break.

Does anyone else HATE progesterone as much as I do? Man o man, I was on 50% higher dosage than the maximum allowed of Gonal F and was just fine. It is the progesterone that kills me. This is going to be a loooong 2 weeks.

hi ladies. Best of wishes to you all... I want o let you know that yes to 2ww is agonizing because we misinterpret signs some are there and others exist only in my head.
I just wanted togive hope to Bat had my cycle canceled because of my eggs arresting on day 5. Then get a call on day 6 saying one made it. I had the transfer on 1/31 and now am exactly 6 weeks. So this is to say donttive up on your little ones just bcause your doc has given u minimal hope. These babies we bringing into this world are god' a choice and will... I am still not a full pregnancy as I do not see my baby heartbeat until this Friday. You guys think the 2ww is hard. Well having your doc tell you u r preggo after having 2 betas and then they ell you we won't see you for 3weeks for yourfirst u/s is harder! Especially if your not having preggo symptoms... This whole journey is a mind game until you see your belly swell and your baby on the u/s... It so hard to think to come this far to possibly start over, you know? Ive had 3 good betas and doc saying everything looks good, but then I c women post on here with good betas as well only to wake up to blood! I guess I should listen to my own advice and understand this is all gods plan! I am wishing you all well.....

Hi Ladies,

Had a meltdown this morning. This is so stressful and I don't have any of my usual vices to help (running, exercising, drinking), so I resorted to my personal favorites: bawling helplessly and screaming at hubby over small things.

I did find out that we had 2 6 day frozen blasts. That's good, right?
