Frozen transfer

Post by DNT0809 »

Need a little advice. I had 3 fresh IVF's 2 chemical's & 1 nothing. I had 6 fibroids removed in Dec.07 The Dr. wanted us to try nauturally for 3 months..still nothing. Now I have 6 frosties from the 3 fresh cycles I did. In the middle of May or the begining depending on AF the Dr. wants to transfer 3. I keep thinking about this. In the past he had transferred 2 at a time then 3 then 4. When he did the 3 & 4 transfer I had 2 chemical preg in a row. Which he said I had a better shot at winning lotto because its very odd to have 2 chemical pregnancies in a row or even at all.. Now I'm wondering if I should transfer all 6 at one time or do 3 then another 3. I don't mind going thru the fresh cycle again. I know that sounds weird but I just keep on saying I have to do what I have to do. Hopefully I wouldn't have to do the other 3 but its ok if I do. Any help from anyone would be great. Thanks so much :)

Transfer six??? I'd hope your doctor would never allow that.

On the main board here there is a poster "Sassynlv" who had 4 frozen embryos transferred. All 4 implanted and one even split into twins. Do not underestimate the frozen embryo.

Chemical pregnancies are not all that rare. They account for about 1/5 of all pregnancies, and about half of the pregnancy losses.

ooooooo, I wouldn't transfer all 6 if I were you. But my personal beliefs come into play, I don't think we should trasnfer more babies than we're willing to give a chance at life and I don't agree with reduction. But, each to their own and good luck with your decision.
Since 1/5 pregnancies are chemical I would hope you've had your share now you're 2 for 2!

Frozen & accupuncture

Post by DNT0809 »

Thanks for all of the postings. Thats why I posted I needed some advice. :? You are all wonderful people. I didn't know that 1/5 pregnancies are chemical. I had no idea. I am now leaning towards 3. Thank you ladies. Actually my Dr. said we can do this very agressively with all 6 or go with 3. He was leaving it up to me. I wish you all the very best. One quick question..Did any of you have a frozen transfer & if so did you relax or take off from work during the 2 ww time. A lot of my friends took off from work just to relax. Some took the first week some the second. and yes they are(all) got pregnant. I would also like to start the acupuncture this time before the transfer...Any suggestions would be great and thanks so much again...

Hi, I'm in the 2ww from a FET right now. I had planned on going back to work after just 3 days but I met a student nurse at work (I'm a nurse) who had twins through ivf with my RE. She acted horrified when I told her I was going back to work so soon. She said she took 2 weeks off and got her twins from her very first cycle. Last time I went back to work very quickly....on the night shift....and miscarried after a night shift. So, I decided this time to take the full 2 weeks off. At least then I'll know I did the best I could. I'm also not lifting anything or rushing anywhere just taking it really easy.
