Hello Ladies,

Hope you don't mind if I join you I have a e/r date of 7/24. I start my follistim tommorrow, I'm very excited. Is Tylenol the only thing we can take for these terrible lupron headaches?? Good luck to all of you, babydust to all.

Hi all,
My follies have gotten very large, and they told me to go ahead and trigger for ER on tues!!! I can't believe it's come up so fast. I think the waiting for AF and BCP takes the longest, but after stims...things really start moving. I really felt kinda huge all day today, after the US, have had difficulty walking, like i'm actually preggo or something. Got a 21 mm one in there...only one egg per follie, but i guess the size kinda gives an idea of maturity? They said i only had 7, but yesterday told me i had 12, weird...anyway, nice to not have to go in tomm...i'd appreciate any advice for ER prep...thanks!

Hey ladies. Sorry I didn't get to post this weekend. It was kinda crazy around here!

kimmysq: I remember you! Yeah on your FET!! I didn't have any frosties for FET, so it will be a fresh cycle. I would love to hear how the FET cycle goes though! My RE said I could only take Tylenol. Hope it helps.

elisabeth: I'm not having diarrhea from the Lupron because I'm not taking it, but I'm having it from the Gonal-F. I take a supplement though so hopefully that will help. Sounds like you have some wonderful follies growing! 27 already!! That is amazing!

babyloves: Good to see familiar names! I was glad to find another group on similar cycles as mine. And yours is even a similar protocol!

hopinginpa: Glad you are hopping over here, too! I can't believe you don't go in earlier for US & BW. I go in on day 3 of stims. How was that massage?! Sounds great!

kim14: I am not using Lupron at all because my RE says I was oversuppressed. Congrats on starting stims!!

RBJean: Wow, sounds like a rough morning! Hope you are feeling all better. Good luck.

hoping4two: Welcome! My ER should be around 7/23, so we will be pretty close. Tylenol is the only thing my RE said I could take. The headaches won't be as bad once you start stims. Good luck!!

As for me, I'm on day 3 of stims. I go in tomorrow morning for BW & US, and hopefully my follies will be growing nicely! Best of luck to you all!!

Hi ladies. Hope you don't mind me joining in. This is my first IVF cycle and I am scheduled for ER July 20-21. I went in for my first U/S after starting stims (day3) today and was a little discouraged because I only have 7 follies (4 on rt and 3 on lft). Is this low? Did anyone start out with a few and end up with a lot more? My protocol is Menopur / Follistim / Lupron. I go back for another U/S on Tuesday.

I am glad to see some of you are local (DC) I am not going to SG rather Dominion Fertility.

jharria12 ~ thank you for the kind welcome and the best of luck to you.

I'm starting to retain alot of water and I'm a little constipated, does anyone have any suggestions?

dcdiva ~ I've been concerned also, I went in for my basline u/s last thurs and I only had 3 follicles. I hope I produced somemore when I start the stims.

Does anyone know how that works? This is my first cycle......

Baby - tues wow! How long have you been on stims? I just started mine and last time needed all 12 days. I wish mine was this tues!!! For er, I wish someone has told me to get gatorade or g2 and some easy to digest foods - like apple sauce etc. Also get some pepto jsut in case. DH had to go to the store like 5 times. It doesnt hurt that much depending on the number of eggs. It doesnt hurt till the pain meds wear off. I tried not to take vicadon and broke down on day 3. Just take it.

As far as the follie growing, I was a slow starter and had 23 eggs so dont panic. I seem to remember starting with 9 but am not sure if that changed or the number of eggs changed. Ill pay moe attention when i go in tommorow. You only need 1 good quality egg :-)

Good luck ladies

Welcome Kimmy, Elizabeth, JHarris, Hopinginpa, Hoping4Two, and dcdiva!!! I'm happy you have joined us.

RBJean - I hope you are feeling better. I agree with the girls, it sounds like something you ate just didn't sit that well with you. I hope your stims are going well. Good luck on Wednesday.

Babyloves - Congrats on moving up so fast with the ER!!! That's fantastic!! Less waiting and less shots :) !! Good luck tomorrow. I'm keeping my toes and fingers crossed for you!!!

Elizabeth - 27 follies is great!! Wow! Also, I'm so glad your doc caught the error regarding meds. You are right, you definitely don't want to be dealing with OHSS.

dcdiva - No worries on the 7 follies on day 3. Usually, more will join the party. The body preselects so the meds don't retrieve more eggs. The meds simply mature more in the follies (the body normally matures a dominant follie). At day 3, it's hard to see all of them so keep up with the meds, you'll notice a change as you go forward. If you don't, still no worries. You only need one good egg to make a baby!! I know it's nerve racking on the first IVF but hang in there.

My stimming is going well. I had b/w & u/s on Saturday. My lining was 6.6, my E was 639 and 7 follies were seen. I went in again this morning for b/w & u/s. I don't have the results for my E yet but my lining was 7.8 and 11 follies were seen. So I think it is all going well. I'm happy to see my body responding to the meds!!

Good morning ladies! Hard to believe it's Monday again already!

dcdiva: Welcome! My first cycle I started off with very few, too/ They had to increase my Gonal-F a lot, and I only ended up with 10 eggs. But I ended up with more than I started with. I'm sure the other's will catch up. Good luck on the US tomorrow.

hoping4two: I believe my RE suggested Milk of Magnesia for constipation. You may want to ask your RE to be sure. And you will definitely grow more follies when you start stims. That is what gets them growing! Good luck!

kim14: Good luck with your US tomorrow.

As for me, I went in this morning for my E2 and US after 3 days of stims. I won't get my E2 until this afternoon. But during the US, I heard the nurse call out 6-7 on the right, and 5-6 on the left. So I guess so far I have about 11-13! Sounds better than my first cycle. I just hope the E2 is good, and that some more decide to pop up before ER, too! Hope you ladies have a wonderful day!

jbharris: I think 11-13 is a fabulous number for day 2! That's great news.

Venus25: Your lining thickness sounds fantastic! I wish mine was that thick. The last check it was only 4.5, but I'm hoping it will shape up nicely in a week's time. I read that lining of 16 or greater is ideal for getting implantation and a trilaminar appearance is also key. Congrats!!

Babylove: You are an inspiration! Getting to ER so quickly means that you are closer to getting your BFP! Good luck tomorrow!!

Kim: I hope you continue to feel better each day!

As for me, no news until tomorrow's u/s and b/w apt.

I finally got my BW results. My E2 is only 131, so they want to increase my Gonal-F from 300 to 412.5. I was really hoping I wouldn't have to increase my meds this time. And my DH is working late, so I may end up having to do the shots myself tonight. And here I was thinking 11-13 follies would be good! I go in tomorrow for BW again.

elisabeth: Good luck wih your appt. tomorrow!

Hope the rest of you ladies are doing great! Wishing you loads of lucK!

Jharris12-11-13 follicles is great. Don't worry about the increase in Gonal-F. They know best. That is my attitude this time...I am not questioning anything!

Babyloves-Good luck tomorrow. ER is fine, some conscious sedation and you won't remember anything. I did have some cramps the following day but was able to work.

Dcdiva- 7 isn't a bad number. It only takes one!

Venus-Glad your stimming is going well.

As for me, I go in a Wednesday for U/S and BW. I think it is on day 5 of stims because I am on the flare protocol. I am feeling bloated tonight and have a little cramping. Hoping that is ok. Hope everybody is having a good night

How is everyone getting there lining numbers and E2 (what does that mean BTW), size of follies? My doc doesn't say anything, just everything looks good. I even had to ask how many follies I had. I know he is a good doctor as he was voted best infertility specialist in the DC area and his clinic has good stats but they seem to not dwell on the details with the patients. Should I be more pushy and ask for the results of everything?

Hi dcdiva, I just ask straight out because at first the nurses would say the same thing to me, but I really wanted to know the details. They were fine with sharing all the details. I probably drive them crazy with all of the questions. It still seems as though many of the women that I have met through forums seem to have an abundance of information that I just took for granted. Now that I ask more questions I feel more comfortable. On the downside it seems that the more I find out the more I question.

Dcdiva I used to get all my lab values at my old clinic but my doctor here in PA doesn't give out the info. I am ok with that. I know that they would tell me if there was something wrong. They do tell me the number of follicles but not my blood work results. I think we have enough to worry about...let the doctors worry about the lab values. They know what is best for us :)

Hi there and welcome to all of the new ladies. I didn't post this weekend and so much has happened!

Jharris- It looks like your follicles are doing great. I haven't had an US yet so it is exciting to see everyone in this stage. I don't begin stims until the 26th so all of you will be ahead of me.

Babyloves- I am very excited for you! I know you will have a lot on your mind tonight and want some good rest. Can't wait to hear the good news!work.

Venus-it looks like your lining is right where they want it, and 11 follies are wonderful. What are the sizes of the follies at this point?

As for me well I begin Lupron and Dexsmethasone for suppression on the 24th. I then I start Menopur and Gonal F on the 26th. Has anyone had to extend there original dates out due size? I know that it is hard to plan too much in a cycle, but it would be helpful to know if this happens very often.
