I have to POAS, I much rather know my fate then have some nurse call me and pretty much say "Sorry your life sucks and yes you just received another BFN".  Well I guess it isn't that bad but I just hate getting that call. You can just tell in the nurses voice that it didn't work. I won't test out the trigger shot. I have never seen two lines so the first time that I do see it then I want it to be for real. i guess that is just me.

AFM - had my first shot of Ganirelix today. YEY!!!! Also got in my big box of drugs, plus 2 other smaller boxes of drugs. I was keeping the fed ex and ups guy busy today. Only thing left now is to figure out what is going on with my IVIG. I will mess with that next week. Look like I will be doing lots of suppositories. I much rather do shots.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Hi all

Just a quick post from me. Had my transfer yesterday. We only ended up with one grade B embryo. Feeling very low. Don't know what the stats are for success with an average embryo but can't be as good I guess.

Please bump me up to the 2WW list thanks. Beta 7 July.

Aloha all!

I too am debating whether I should POAS tomorrow . . .Right now I'm 6dp 3dt . . . Tomorrow would make it 7dp 3dt . . . I kind of think it's a win/win situation: If it's +, then yay! If it's -, then I'll just tell myself it's too soon =)

Are you guys POAS at 10 days? Waiting until beta?
My beta is July 1 . . .

SO after the longest day and night in my life we have come to a decision. We are going to start another stimming cycle asap. I told RE I cant wait, I need to start asap...I dont want to be on BCPs just get me stimming. He said ok. He really felt awful for us so much so that i felt bad for kinda disappointing him. SO I start Lupron tonight as soon as the pharmacy gets here with it. I will take another PIO shot tomorrow and then stop that and wait for AF. I have a phone appointment on monday to discuss my new protocol and get my meds ordered.
Thank you to everyone who supported me. I couldnt have gotten through it without this board. I was and am devestated that all our embryos are gone before they even made it to transfer but I must go on. I know I can with the support and help of you ladies. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. :)

prayin- I am so happy to hear your decision. I was just wondering how you were doing today...I know yesterday must have been a terribly tough day. I am sure you did not dissappoint RE, so please don';t feel that way. I put you right back on the "IVF coming soon" list, let me know when you know your dates, and we will be here to route you on!

sabi- enjoy your trip, try not to think about IVF

deft- to pee or not to pee, that is always the question here...all up to you, but everyone knows about me and hpt's by now...

wicked- congrats on transfer, even though it's not how you had hoped, remember it only takes one, and we will be praying for you.

chris- I love the POAS pusher image! I should totally put that in my signature! hehe. What does IVIG stand for? It's not often I come across an acronym I don;t know here.

I am another POAS queen. I say go for it. I was testing my last cycle since the day of transfer and this time around 3dp5dt which i got my famous postive which I think was from the trigger and my real positive at 6dp5dt on HPT. A beta of 25 on 5dp5dt. I poas sometimes 2-3x/day. Call me crazy but it took away hearing Nurses call with results that were devastating. I say POAS all the way.

Meds tomorrow?

Post by Julie nurse » Fri Jun 26, 2009 11:52 pm

Hi Ladies,

Thank you all again for your welcome and support!

CT Michelle: I am so sorry for your set back. I know I am new here but can tell you are a caring den mother to us all. I am really glad you will be staying on this thread. Please have a drink for me....

Stay Positive: I'm thrilled to have another IVF newbie to talk to! Please let me know where you are in your cycle, so I can catch up and compare notes! You are right about this being such a great group of women to learn from. I feel lucky I found you all.

Prayin: I think starting again was the right idea. It is so important that you keep positive and move forward towards your dreams

Abogenpohl: hoping today brought your BFP

Wicked Wheel: sticky baby dust

Katie99: wish I had a new puppy to distract me. My old kitty cat just moves from the bed to the couch and back. Not really exciting.

AFM: I go in tomorrow for testing (BW and sono). Tomorrow is my day 21 and I am really hoping there is no reason for me to not start my meds (Lupron cycle). I've been so close before an something always seems to happen. My DH is having a mild panic attack about the financing of all this. I am havig a mild panic attack about anything else going wrong for us. I'm not sure I can take another mc at this point. I don't think our bank account can withstand another attempt for at least a few months. I sort of see this as my shot...... No pressure, really!

Anyway, have a great weekend everyone.

Hi ladies!

vicky1707 and deftonesmo: I've never been in the 2ww but I know me...I'd have to POAS! I would want to already know before the clinic told me my result, so that I would already be prepared emotionally. I wouldn't want to have to contain my disappointment if they said BFN and it was news to me. I guess I would want to be prepared and to be able to celebrate and/or grieve the news in the privacy of my own home with my DH by my side. Just my 2 cents.

Julie nurse: I think I had a different protocol yhan you (everyone seems to have a different one around here). I took bcps starting on Day 3 of my cycle, then started Lupron, Dexamethasone, and Saizen on day 19, then on day 21 added the stimulants (Gonal-F and Menopur). I think the protocol was called a microflare dose or something like that? Anyway, I'm supposed to have my ER next Thursday (could be a day sooner or a few days later). And you??

Prayin4BFP: Way to get back on the horse! I admire your determination and refusal to be set back. Forward, forward, forward!

katie99: PICS PLEASE!!!! :D

wickedwheel: How many times have it seen it here...it only takes one! Stay positive if you can and know that we're all putting the god thought on you and that embie!!!

AFM, just camping out in my hotel. Had day off from clinic today but starting tomorrow I go in everyday. I've become an injection pro in light of my DH not being here right now. And still no side effects!! I'll take everyday I can get with no side effects! I'll let you all know what the u/s report is tomorrow.....until then, happy weekend!

prayin - My heart goes out to you! You are a strong person. I am so happy you decided to go for it again! We have to support each other or else we'd all fall apart. This has to work for us. We have all had so many disappointments - we need some strength to pull us through and get us our BFP! Best of luck to you! Wait for AF!

Michele - Sorry to hear about your cyst. You just keep falling back down the line. I hope you hang in here with us june/july'ers. We'd miss you! You are our rock! In your opinion when should I start POAS - I am doing a 5 day FET?

AFM - I am relaxing by myself this weekend. DH is going OOT for the weekend with a friend - they race remote control cars (boys and their toys). My friend and I have massages scheduled for tomorrow so we were going to make it a girls day - maybe do some shopping. I am so excited for my ET on Tuesday!

Hugs and Prayers to everyone! Wait for me - all you 2ww'ers I'll be joining you soon. I'll be the one who is POAS everyday!

Wow, so much going on!!!

Sarah my heart goes out to you. I'm really sorry, I know how you are feeling. I got two BFNs right after my BFP with my son. I know there is hope for us, just take some time and I agree with you our little ones are tiny miracles!!! I just thank God everyday for having him!!! so be strong because he needs a happy mommy!!! Enjoy the summer and let us know what's next for you.

Daisy I'm so happy for you!!! I'm sure is a BFP!!! You're pregnant!!! I knew you could do it!!! I'm doing the baby dance right now!!! Congratulations!!

Tanya sending you patience dust on what's left of your 2ww. Stay positive and try to keep your mind busy busy!!! Hope to see another BFP!!! Good luck. Keep us posted!!

Sunshine Grow embies grow!!! I know what it feels like to have just a few eggs. But you only need one and I can honestly tell you that!! So stay positive. I'll pray for all of your embies to grow and grow!!!

Praying I think you need this to get started again!!! After my last BFN that is what I wanted to do and DH agreed to that. Sometimes you just need to keep going!! so good for you, good luck and I'm sending you AF dust!!!

Michele what a bummer!!! But I always say things happen for a reason. I'll just keep you in my prayers so no cysts will show around next time!!! Hopefully the provera will work real quick and you'll be back on the game for an august ET. good luck and I'm sending you AF dust your way too!!

wickedwheel My one and only BFP was with one embie!!! You can do it!! I told that to Daisy too and look at her!!! There is always hope, please stay positive and try to relax on your 2WW. Sending patience dust your way!!! You are going to make it you'll see!!!!

Debbie I'll tell you that with the cycle I did POAS and got the nurse's call with the BFN I was devastated!!! I think it was really hard to take, on the next BFN I did POAS and even though I still had a little bit of hope left, when I got the call I didn't take it soooo hard. I have to say that with my son I did not POAS and THE call was a total surprise. The nurse left a message and it was surreal!!! But I think I'll rather POAS.

TO everyone else even though I'm not that good at writing personals (I'm really slow reading and typing!!! not my mother tongue...), you are always on my prayers and I do read all your posts!!! So keep posting, keep the PMA flowing and all the BFP coming our way!!! Have a wonderful weekend. Big hugs to all!!!

Well I think all you POAS out there have rubbed off on me and I'm thinking I might give it a go this time - like you've said I've got nothing to lose! Like I said I don't have a blood test, just a HPT at home and my DH has always rang the unit to give them the result because I'm just so heart broken. Even DH finds it hard to speak. Don't know what's worse - seeing the result for myself or being told by someone!

Suppose it might make the acutal test day easier if I'd already had a BFN! But they'll be NO BFN this time - positive thoughts all the way for me this time! :D

Enjoy the rest of your weekend ladies x x x

Vicky- how come no blood test? What day after transfer or retreival do they make you do an hpt? I don't want to make you nervous, but an hpt only would make me nervous, I have seen so many stories on here of hpts not picking up the low level of hcg. I would probably test again a few days after RE's date, just to be sure.

mikeandjess- I don't know what to reccomend to you...I have never done an FET before. Which an FET and no chance of false positive, I am not sure I would start so early, with the pricey pee sticks from the pharmacy, but this time I bought cheap strips to save money since I used so many my first 2 times. With my 3day FET, I would probably wait atleast 5 days, maybe 7, so if I had a 5 day blast transfer, maybe 5 days which would be 10dpo, but it could still be negative. I guess it depends on how you feel about seeing a negative and how many times you want to test.

stay positive- hang in there in that hotel! Good luck at u/s.

julie- I will probably have multiple drinks for everyone at this upcoming wedding. I am not much of a drinker at all, but with the stress of this wedding and ivf together...I am due for a good time.

Ok, I will check in again later...everyone have a good weekend!

Michele - Thanks for the advice. That's what I was thinking too - about day 5 I would POAS. I bought the same ones you did - in bulk. I have 10 of the same ones you bought and 5 of the super sensitive ones. I am okay with a negative HPT - I've had so many already. I would rather know before my beta - it's easier for me knowing before I get the call from the RE's office.
