My first IVF cycle was a success and now I have a beautiful baby boy . I had a c-section on Sept 08. I was wondering how long I should wait before I try for #2. The IVF clinic says it is okay to try again now but my OB-Gyn insists that I wait a full year before getting pregnant. Any suggestions?

I'd enjoy your miracle baby for at least a year! My miracle baby is 26 months and I'm just cycling again now. I had a BFN in April and I'm reving up for another FET in June now. IVF and pregnancy really take a toll on the mind and body. I'd rest a bit longer if you can call motherhood a rest!

My ObGyn told me that I needed to wait at least six months, but a year is best. I am scheduling a FET in August which will be only ten months after my DS was born. Time is not exactly on my side so that is why we are going to try for #2 so soon. I am sure you will make the decision that is best for you. Good luck!
I've never studied this, and I don't know of any study of it.
Looking around the internet, I see it ranges all over the place. 0 months, 4-6 months, 6-9 months, 6-12 months, 12 months...
My intuition is to go with your ob/gyn. He/she is involved in deliveries, most fertility docs are not. We can also be sure that he/she is not profit-motivated to hurry you into something.
