Please...anyone, tell me something!

Post by syanna » Wed Feb 17, 2010 8:51 pm

I had a super super faint line at 10dp2dt, the next day it was gone. So im thinking it's another failure. Of course, the test kind of proves it cause my beta was only 3 at 12dp2dt (Mon). They told me to go back the next day to make sure the # dropped so I can stop all meds...but instead, it rised to a 4 on Tues?? What does that mean? So now RE wants me to up my PIO dosage to 1.5cc and go back Thurs for another test. Is there any hope???

Ugh...I totally feel your pain. My last try in September, my beta was only a 5 and they told me that was too low and theyw ould retest in 2 days just to make sure it wasn't a lab error. 2 days later it was 13, then 2 more days and it was 31. Even with all of the increases, RE told me not to get my hopes up, that starting that low usually does not end well. He was right, my next beta after that dropped to a 14. Technically it implanted, I was pregnant, but it was just too weak to make it.

I do hope things go differently for you, but I don't want to give you any false hope. In all the research I have done and time I have spent on these boards, low betas like that are not a good sign. But I guess anything is possible. I will pray for you.

Thanks!
I just dont understand why they didnt just let me stop the meds once they saw that 3. Why let me continue this pain, both emotionally and physically! I don't have high hopes either, I was already expecting a BFN. But maybe miracles can happen.

Yes, they can happen. It did for me once already when I was blessed with my little angel. I know this must be so hard for you right now. I agree, last time I was expecting a bfn and then getting a glimmer of hope, it killed me emotionally. Then it kept rising and I really thought I had a miracle story. It was devastating in the end. But i will hold out hope for you. Good luck in your journey.

syanna - Sorry you are going through this right now. Sometimes it is easier just to get a BFN be done with it. I agree with Michelle, I don't think that is likely that things will turn out but ya never know. there is always some miracle right around the corner. The good point is that at least you now know your body knows how to get PG, so if you have to do this over again you have a good chance of a sticky BFP.
