Hey girls! I hope you all had a great holiday weekend. I'm a little too tired for personals tonight. I just got back from Charlotte. Congrats to all those who are on 2ww and are PUPO with me. :) For those who have been feeling sick or having a bad week...I hope you all feel so much better soon.

I appreciate that some of you have been trying to give me hope about getting it on the first try. I am so scared to get my hopes up. For the first 3 days after ET I was on modified bed rest. I watched a lot of HGTV. Day 4 they said I could fly to Charlotte. I really haven't felt anything since then. No cramping or twinges...nothing. I have been sleeping a lot and needing naps. That's nothing new...I'm a pretty good sleeper. :) No spotting....nothing.

So I guess I am wondering....what were your symptoms and outcomes? What did you feel during the 2ww? Sorry but I am trying really hard not to flip out. (OH and I really want to POAS!!!)

I had my U/S today (day 8 of stimming) and it looks like slim pickings. I was really surprised to learn that only 6 follicles are looking like they will make it to ET. Two years ago I had 10 in the running, but this time I am on a higher dosage of FSH, and so I really expected more follicles to mature. A higher number of eggs was a goal for me and my RE. I could not stop sobbing all day. I have a major headache from all the crying. I realize the likelihood of having anything to freeze this cycle is pretty much slim to none now, but now I am really worried about what, if anything, will be around on transfer day. Last time I had a 60% fertilization rate, with 50% of those making it to 3dt (but those three were very slow dividers, and 2 of the 3 had likely already arrested at time of transfer, leaving only one viable one...thank the lord that it turned into a real baby). If I follow the same pattern, I will be lucky to to have 1 or 2 remaining on 3dt. I know everybody (including myself) keeps saying that it only takes one, but I sure would feel better if a I had a lot of backups. Plus, I know that I don't have the resources to do another fresh cycle, and frozen ones were going to be my only way of trying to make my family complete. Anyways, it doesn't look like I will be having my ET on Friday, but more likely to be on Sat or Sun. RE doesn't want me back until Wednesday (day 10) to do another U/S, until then I'm going to be on pins and needles...and repeating over and over, "it only takes one."

Wishing patience and PMA to all of the ladies with me on this crazy 2ww....I am now 4dp3dt and have been scouring the internet to know what I should / should not be feeling! It is about as clear as mud!

PA_FA - I have the sore chest, which is of course related to progesterone...but for the last two days, I have had cramps on and off. They are mostly 'on' and feel like AF cramps with sharper twinges or pinches every now and then. And you? I just have such a hard time going from feeling like I am in control with the all of the shots, traveling to the U/S and B/W appointments, the ER, and the ET...and then nothing, just wait.

stlgirl - progesterone does give you lots of symptoms but the symptoms I got after my body made HCG which is past day 8 after 3dt was dizziness and bouts of extreme fatigue. I got pregnant naturally many years ago and it was the same. Other than that no sore boobs or anything else. You can have no symptoms and get a BFP!!!

kiz - how are you feeling?

bei - hope you are better!

lisacb - sweetie we have a lot in common! Two years ago I had 10 follies and this time I had 6! Don't be upset 6 is still great! Lots of women have only 2 or 3! I know I get down too because you want lots of follies to have lots of eggs and embies but you need to have hope for what you got. I had 6 follies and 3 eggs were mature and fertilized and we transfered 3, I did get pregnant even if it was a chemical so there is a very good chance you could have your BFP and baby! It does only take one hun!

PA -FA - step away from the HPT!!! ;) they can be evil! Wait for the certainty of the blood exam! Don't worry about symptoms, read my first response to stlgirl. It is hard to not flip out! Keep busy, rub your belly and keep the PMA!!

lisa32 - I had a glass of wine for you last night! and one for me! I really needed it and DH did too, we were laughing and being silly! What did you buy? My AF is not here either. We will preggers soon sweetie and we will cycle together once more for our bfp all the way to "parents after treatment" :)

AFM - today is my appt with RE and I feel like crying, so weird I haven't felt bad in a few days but it makes it more real. AF hasn't come which I just wish it would because it will really be a miscarriage which is soooo sad. I need to try and talk RE down on price to be able to afford another fresh cycle!!! Send your $$$ saving dust to me!!! :)

stlgirl- I had those same twinges for the first couple of days after the ET. Now only every once in a while. My chest does not hurt at all but I am doing suppositories. I am guessing you are on shots?

riogirl- I couldn't wait. I POAS this morning and it was BFN. I know I still have 6 more days until my beta so I am not giving up hope yet. I forgot how messy POAS can be. DH used to make me do it a lot when we were dating because he was freaked out I would be preg. UM...not bloody likely! LOL

AFM - went for another blood test today and guess what? My betas went up and not down. As if this whole thing was not emtional enough. It doesn't mean we have a viable pregnancy because the numbers should be in the 1000s and it is 44 now but I feel bad that the one little guy is fighting to stay with mommy but has no chances... I had the consult with RE who said "I have a very hospitable uterus" humm never heard that from a guy ;) so he thinks we have a good chance to conceive again but who knows in this numbers game how many tries it would take. He said my eggs are good (I am 39) and fertilization is great and got 100% eggs from follicles but, there is always a but, I don't make that many so he would increase our meds. I should miscarry soon but now that the numbers went up it might be longer. My body is fighting to stay pregnant and I can feel it, in fact I told DH that and when he heard the number went up, he said I sure knew that was going on. We are hoping he will give us a financial break since that will be the only way to afford it right now. Who knows, fingers crossed... so weird that if I tested on HPT I would still get a BFP :(

PA -fa - You bad girl!!! Don't lose your PMA since it is too early to test right now!!! I know 6 days is a lot but a confirmation is so sweet when it comes from a reliable source!

HI Everyone,
I'm a newbie.I just found this forum...wish I had sooner. Thank you to everyone for sharing your stories, and for responding so quickly.

The 2WW totally sucks! My boobs are sore and I have cramping on&off, which is freaky. I took 2 wks off work and just took it easy, which was probably not the best idea. I was bored not being at work or having anything to distract me from thinking about whether or not I would get preg. I never POAS because I was afraid of a false positive. Because of the holiday weekend, my first official Beta was this morning at my RE's office...but I just couldn't wait! I work at a hospital so I got my OB to write me an order, and I had it drawn on Sunday....It was 91!! I guess I am pregnant :D , but I just can't bring myself to believe it yet. Wish me luck for big numbers!!

Riogirl- I am so sorry for what you are going through. I wish lots of baby dust for you that you and DH stick together through this tough time. I hope your RE can give you a break. I understand how tough it is financially. Our insurance covers nothing so we are paying out of pocket and taking it out of retirement. Big hugs for you. Rio - Hugs honey. Sounds like you're having a very rough time of it. I hope everything sorts it's self out soon, and is there any chance at all that things might end up with a happier ending?

Rio - what a rollercoaster ride you are on. I am so sorry. <hugs>

lisa32 - <hugs> and lots of yummy wine for you.

kitty_mom - only one more week to go! Yay!

Bei - yay you are finally PUPO! I am so excited for you!

Eshepard - stick babies stick!

PA - it is way way to early to POAS. I agree with rio leave those sticks alone. Those little embryos need more time=) hang in there only a few more days

lisacb - I ended up with 9 eggs they retrieved, 6 fertilized and all 6 made it to day 5, and hey it worked! I know it is scary not to have high numbers, but my RE explained it that all they are looking for is 2-3 good eggs and anything else is a bonus.

sti (and PA). My first pregnancy I had AF symptoms all the way, cramping bloating. I was absolute convinced I was not pregnant=) This time I have nothing. Seriously nothing, I ponder POAS every day to to make sure I am actually pregnant (but I restrain myself). I know it is hard to do, but try not to read to much into symptoms. Progesterone can mimic both AF and pregnancy, so it is enough to drive a person mad

pep - I am anxiously awaiting my scan to. I will relax a lot when I see a heartbeat. After everything it is so hard not to anticipate the worst, and worry about everything. I try to remind myself that it is no different than a normal pregnancy and I should just chill. I have one week until I head in.

AFM - I am counting the days until I am done with PIO and suppositories... July 15 is the day.

You girls are the best! I would go completely crazy if it weren't for you all!

So I have to share my weekend story with you all. We went to Charlotte to visit family for Memorial Day. My sis-in-law threw a very LARGE BBQ with about 100 people. 40 of those were children under 10. It was like torture! All these cute children running around. I just want one! UGH! DH sister has 3. Anyhow...the night before we went to dinner with the sis and her hubby and DH parents. Parents already know about this roller coaster ride we have embarked on. They had strict orders not to tell anyone. Well sister guesses that I was pregnant....I'm not...just PUPO. She told her neighbor I was preg before even talking to us. Great...so we have to fix that. My point...why is it when people try to help and say nice things they come off really insensitive. When we told them that we had done IVM and were currently on our 2ww her hubby was like...oh God. Couldn't you try something else? OH gee...why the eff didn't I think of that???? DH sister was chatting with me and said that when they were TTC their 2nd child she remembers when she POAS. It was negative. She thought...wow that is horrible. How can people do this for years and live with the constant let downs? She then told me that she tested too soon. She actually was preggers. It was their first month trying. I actually wanted to smack her. Can she not see that it has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with what we are going through? I mean...I don't even understand half of what some of you are going through. They are great parents but why is it that people's help is not really helpful?

OK just wanted to share that. I guess I should get used to insensitive comments. Have a great night y'all.
