Hello ladies,

I hope everyone is doing well. I had an u/s today which is my week 7 and found an empty sac only by RE which means m/c. RE told me to take at least 1-2 months to rest. Hopefully, I can decide whether to use the snow embies from my last egg donor which can only give me 50% successful rate or look for another egg donor (fresh embies cycle will have 80% successful rate.) I hope AF will come in a week so that I don't have to take the med to push the endometrium out. I heard the med is very painful. Hope I don't have to do that! Will see RE next Monday again! Will do personals later!

dodo oh hun nooo! i am so sorry! its so not fair that this is happening to you. i was so happy to hear it finally worked for you!
((((((((((((((((((((((big hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))))))
i think its a good idea to take a little time to heal. but i think it will be alot less stressful (and less expensive) to try an FET with your lil frosties before you try another donor cycle. i know how expensive it can get. my RE told me it may be my only hope so i already started looking into how it works, and the price makes my head spin.
know that i am here for you, and i hope when you are ready you come back and let me cheer you on! xoxoxo

Dodo - So sorry to hear! I had a similar situation, and they ended up doing a D&C at week 8 so I did not have to take the meds. That was 3 weeks ago. I am going to wait til September since I have a couple of things planned in July and august. My RE also wants to do a hysto something test again where they squirt water in while doing U/S to make sure I've healed. Good luck!

hi everyone!
i just wanted to pop in and say hi! DH and i are going to atlanta tomorrow. one of our good friends is getting married on saturday, and DH is in the wedding. its going to be very fancy. its black tie at the st. regis hotel so it should be fun. saturday is also my birthday so i keep joking that they shouldnt have gone through all this trouble by throwing me such a big party hahaha i'm not sure if they think its funny or not, but it makes me laugh, and i get an open bar on my birthday, and a weekend at a really nice hotel...whats not to like? my mother in law was also invited to the wedding so she is driving down from cincinnati so we are excited to see her. we havent seen her since last september since we live so far away from each other. it will be very nice. we are staying there until monday and then we are going to a concert in boston on tuesday so i wont be around much at all.
so i got my baby in a box yesterday!! i was actually starting to get excited. i had to clean out all of my old expired meds from my fridge to make room for the new ones, and it was hard to throw out such expensive meds. (i had a gonal f 900 pen with 600ui's left in it, but it was from march and it was expired.) i hate when they make you start a new pen for one dose before triggering!!!
so i got everything ready, and then i get a call from my RE, and she said she decided to keep me on BCP's for an extra week. i was supposed to stop them this sunday the 20th, and then go for my first SnS on friday the 25th. well now she wants me to stay on them until the 27th and go for my SnS on july 2nd. i'm a little confused. she said it was to let me body get to most out of the BCP's before starting, but i really think that it was because my ER may have been timed with the 4th of july, and they wanted to push me back (yes i am paranoid) but i really think it was for their benefit not mine. oh well...i'm ok waiting one more week. it doesnt really matter to me since i really have no expectations from this cycle anyway. i'm just worried now that i may have to be on bedrest for my 4 year wedding anniversary which is july 16th. not something i want to have as a memory when we look back on what we did for all of our anniversarys. (unless i get my BFP...then it would totally be worth it, and an awesome memory!!)
oh well...what can ya do? IVF controls your life, and its hard to plan special events around cycling. sadly i've gotten used to this.
ok sorry to write a book!!
i hope everyone has a great week, and i'll check back in when i get home!!

***much love always***

Hi ladies.

First off, Dodo, I am so sorry! Hang in there hun. I can only imagine how you feel. IF is so hard, then when you get a glimmer of hope to be let down again is heartbreaking. Know that you have a great group of ladies here for support! Hugs!

turtle~ How exciting you and DH get away. And Atlanta is great...the nice hotel does not hurt either. Sometimes we just need to let, loose and forget....have fun....your baby in a box will be waiting! I did a similar thing this weekend...I knew we would be cycling early July so I bought concert tix to the Eagles, Dixie Chicks and Keith urban concert in MA. My BFF and I went for a night and partied like rock stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have not done that in years! It was so nice to forget IVF, finances and just have fun! It was just what I needed before taking the IVF plunge...AGAIN.

AFM, I too will be expecting my baby in a box soon. CD 1 here for me. BCP friday, supression check on the 7/13...I expect harvest and transfer will be around 7/20. I am so nervous....and so excited.....THIS HAS TO BE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Franny- I think it is so cool that you'll get to have so much fun on your birthday! I love weddings and love helping to plan them. My DH and I will be in my brother's "big wedding" (they had a small wedding in March) in August and it has been fun picking out dresses, tuxes, and shoes. I know how you feel about getting pushed back as I found out yesterday that my RE has pushed my ER back from Aug. 28th to Sept. 6th! (Sorry Ashley its just not in the cards for us to cycle together) :( I will be starting my BCP tomorrow and will start Lupron on Aug. 17th. The RE also wants me to repeat the HSG thing that Lauren was talking about to make sure my uterus looks good. Plus we get to resign all the consent forms since its been more then six months since we started this wonderful IVF ride with his office. But that's life nothing goes as planned so you just have to roll with it. Hope all you ladies are doing fine and have a happy Hump Day!

Hi Franny-

I hope you have a fantastic birthday weekend! :P :P :P You're going to have so much fun! I lived in Atlanta for 8 years and it's a fun city. The restaurants are amazing. It's going to be HOT and humid there. So be prepared.

Enjoy your weekend!

It's comforting to see some familiar 'faces'. I'm not sure who remembers, but I had my first ivf cycle in January, and at 7w6d had an ultrasound that proved my fears of having a blighted ovum. It took two weeks for the miscarriage to complete, then a month of bcp, then I started lupron in the beginning June, then estrace, now I go for an ultrasound to check the uterine lining tomorrow.

We have four good frosties waiting, and hopefully will be transferring three on the 23rd of June. I am nervous and hopeful... surely eventually I will have a turn..?

Wishing all the best to the ladies here and hoping we all get some wonderful news in the following weeks.. :)

DandMe, I remember you. I agree with you, it's soo good to see the familiar faces here. Hope you're doing well!

Franny: Sorry to hear what your RE said to you. Sometimes when you're relax in this cycle and expecting for using donor egg, you might have BFP this time. You'd never know when you're there. Also, having bed rest at your 4th Anniversary is not bad. It's for a good cause. Is your DH also Jewish? I mean are you attending a Jewish wedding. I remember you're Jewish. I remember watching tv and seeing the men in the wedding wearing a small cap on their heads. Anyway, enjoy your trip. Glad you receive your baby!

Lauren: Sorry for your loss at week 8! I hope I don't need the med to push AF out. I heard it's very painful but I also understand why RE doesn't want me to have D&C. I had it twice in my last 2 m/c from natural pregnancies. Ladies said that getting too many times of D&C can cause Asherman's Syndrome which will be unable to do any IVF transfer because of the scars left behind. If it's first 2 times, it's perfectly alright.

Hopeforbabies: Thank you for your kind words! Where are you up to now?

miyaya: hope your baby come soon! glad to hear your cycle is close by too. I totally understand the stress that you're going to go through. But everyone told me that stress is the key. Don't let it dominate you!

afm, i had an anxiety attack break down last night with all the physical symptoms shivering, chilling, asthma, and sinus coming back. I's off from Zoloft at the wrong time. I took back half dose which is 25mg and the physical symtpoms were gone. I took an Ativan last night and finally had a good night sleep. My dog shihtzu who is 16 years old has been losing weight and doesn't want to eat recently and had diarrhea. He's diagnosed of serious kidney infection last time. He's good when under antibiotics but going worse after it's done. Now, the vet thought that he might have cancer because his calcium level is higher than 28 days ago. He's already had abnormal high calcium at that time. DH also is sick. It's too overwhelming for myself while the hormone inside my body is still adjusting. I take back 50mg zoloft today. I think I deserve to feel better because of going through all these. I talk to a psychotherapist next day following the bad news. she's very nice and kind, around 70 and her mind is very smart. I will see her again next week and will see my psychiatrist tomorrow. I don't think I can quit totally for now.

Hi Ladies,

I had an IUI 2 weeks ago today and I took a HPT this morning and again it was BFN. :( So frustrating! I have a beta scheduled for Monday morning, but will probably not do it unless my RE insists since everything is out of pocket. I will do another HPT on Monday just to be sure. I am currently on Prometrium vaginally twice a day and I have been estrogen priming for the next cycle for IVF. My question...should I stop the Prometrium so that I will have AF sooner? Every time I've gone through this, my RE says that he wouldn't want to risk not using it to support the pregnancy. Of course, I don't think there is one to support. He always wants to the beta, but doesn't insist. At this point, I don't want to waste $100 on a test that I already know the results. I used a First Response and I've been told they're pretty accurate.

So...it looks like I will start cycling as soon as AF comes around the end of the month. I really dread the meds part of it, but want to get started just the same.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.

Take care.

Hi Karin, sorry for the BFN. I will keep the prometrium vaginally twice as RE instructed. I believe he knows more than us. If he practices for a while, he might see miracles before. I use First Response too but I know b/w is more accurate. I hope you can be nice to yourself and don't push AF too quick. I was like you before but RE insisted me to stay on all the meds until after double confirm from 2 b/w. HUgs!

Hi ladies!
I'd love to join the summer cycle group. I was part of the May cycle group until my cycle was cancelled. I am scheduled to have surgery next week on Thursday to remove a tumor from each ovary. Doc says I have to take a month off to heal (it will be a c-section cut) so I'm hoping to cycle in August.

After my cycle got cancelled I took a break from the site to have a pity party...sooo I've read through all the posts here, and will work really hard to keep up with everything going on in here.

I wish you all the best of luck and can't wait to (hopefully) get a cycle going with you girls!

Hi All,

I've been absent for a while now, so just reading still to catch up on everyone's news. I've been sick with a cough/cold and then managed to stab myself in the hand with a kitchen knife whilst cleaning the kitchen two hours before my IVF appointment to go over everything that happened on the last cycle and to organise the next one. It required 6 stitches and I was more upset about the possibility of missing my FS appointment than from the stab wound! Fortunately my GP agreed to stitch it rather than having to go to emergency at the hospital (which would have been my third ER visit in 3 weeks since I had the OHSS the last two visits, something I was very keen to avoid!), so I was able to make my appointment after all. Nothing exciting came out of the appointment though - other than the FS was suprised by the severity of my OHSS given that day 9 of the FSH inj my E2 levels were only 8000. Anyway, he's happy for me to try with the HRT FET cycle whenever I'm ready and I'm keen to go, so now just waiting on dear old AF to show her face - as fickle as she is, I may just be waiting 3 months.

Cheers, I'm back to reading everyone's news!
