melo and melmar- I am so sorry. I know there is nothing I can say to make this any easier. Like the others said I just wish you the best of luck. Try to stay positive and talk to the RE about next steps. But dont forget to be thankful for everything you all already have. You both have beauatiful families and one day soon I am sure you will be adding to them. Dont give up hope.

itsmyturn- what a great pic. Everyone on this board has such great looking families. As for the suppositories- I was told they are messy and to stay away so I have opted for the PIO shots since we started doing the IUIs. At my clinic they dont offer suppositories for IVF cycles though. They said that they shots are more effective so they prefer those during IVF. As painful as they are I know it will be worth it eventually.

Kywildcat- Good luck tomorrow. I may end up meeting you there. I am supposed to be there @12:15 and I think you said yours is at 12. Let us know how it all goes!!!

kizmet- I cant wait to hear the beta. Good luck and keep us posted.

AFM- Tomorrow is the big day!!! I am beyond excited and nervous. I dont even know how many we are transferring yet (2 or 3 depending on quality) but I am just hoping that one decides to stick. NP seems really positive so hopefully this is our month!!! I will keep checking back in and will post on the car ride home tomorrow.

Melo - Oh, I really don't know what to say. If you want to chat or vent, feel free to drop me an email.

Melmar - So sorry. While your lucky to already have three very beautiful children, I'm sure that doesn't really absorb any of the sadness right now. Hugs to you and your DH.

JerseyJane & Blair - I'm using the progesterone pessaries and they aren't nearly as bad as I anticipated. The only "mess" I've had with them is when I go to the loo the first time after putting it in, there's a bit of white stuff in the bowl (is that TMI????) but other than that, nothing. AND no painful shots. I'm a type 1 diabetic, so have 4 shots a day anyway, so the idea of more didn't bother me (I even asked for it rather than the pessaries but the doc and pharmacist both said try these first and I'm clad I did!).

Blair and Kywildcat - Good luck ladies!

AFM - went in for the beta first thing this morning...only to find that the clinic has moved...yay, thanks for the heads up on that people!!! Luckily they weren't very far away and admittedly the new medical suite they are in is a big improvement on the old one! At least now I can see where all our cash is going! Feeling pretty much fine. I think I'll start riding again this weekend, the FS has said it's not a problem, even during the 2ww, but I wanted to take the time off, so my dear old favorite horse is going to come back into work.

Hi Ladies
Odd I posted - but didn't get uploaded . . . err luckily as my " AFM" included lots of verbs and descriptors like "devestated" "unbearable lonliness" accompanied by "desperate" "no hope" and I think even a tasty morsel of a phrase that ran "can't bear my broken loathesome body that can't even conceive". Jeepers. Well yes I'll reverse up and get my revised AFM out of the way first. Negative. Negative. (but beta will confirm in a few hours). totally sucks. am totally totally bummed, p*ssed -in fact going to say it loudly and with no bleat outs I AM SOOOOOOOO PISSSSSED. Feigning humour because I am really really bummed beyond words. But what can I do. Suck it up. Start planning cake bakes and garage sales. ARGH! It isn't even easy to adopt an orphan in Russia as people would have you believe - and if I hear one more story of "I have a friend . . . who like tried about 50 times, then finally gave up and got pregnant natrually" (ala beta nurse this morning) "why am gonna . . . "

I am getting the vent out of the way - not to rain on anyones parade - but so that I can clear my bad vibes and then say a really heartfelt and genuine *****wow kizmet - that is soooooo awesome.**** Yay you - you really deserve it and am really happy for you :)

Melmar - am sorry for your BFN. It sucks. No matter what your situation. So I don't doubt the pain is any less.

Jersey, Blair, Yarnista - hang in there. Good things are happening for you too. Every thread needs a few bummer BFN's to even out the odds on the card turning - so this means I'm takin one for the team - and your odds just went up girls!!

You ladies have been a strength. I'm privaleged to have been lucky and found a thread with a really genuine group of caring and sharing and warm hearted (and damn it pretty good lookin ) peeps to get through the last month. It isn't always that way! Wish I was going a bit further with some of you on the pregnancy journey - will still be checking in. . . .(ahem . . .probably in a few hours). Till then Hugs (not in a sappy way) and B dust to you all

Melmar - Once again I am so very sorry. Hugs to your whole family.

Melo - I was really hoping that maybe you were testing too early. I am very sorry and I know how bad it hurts right now but I promise you it will get better. Just give Maia a great big hug and kiss and you'll see a brighter side.

Kizmet - You never told us, what was your beta today? I am so excited for you and DH. Do you go in two days for a second beta?

Itsmyturn - Great picture! As for the progesterone, my clinic used to use Crinone which is a gel and prometrium (oral progesterone pills) then the about 6 months ago they changed the protocol to Progesterone in oil shots and if the beta test is positive then you start suppositories as well. With fresh cycles they have always done the shots and suppositories so I guess they got better results that way.

Blair - Good luck tomorrow! I can't wait to hear how many you transfer. My fingers and toes are crossed. Try to get some sleep tonight.

JerseyJane - I'm still waiting to hear back. I should get the result in a few hours. I'll post as soon as I know. Hopefully it's all good news. I POAS again this morning, just in case, and have a much stronger second line, so I'm feeling pretty positive about it. If this one is positive, I only go in once a week til the 6 week ultrasound.

Melo - if there's anywhere to vent, this is it. There's not one of us who doesn't understand how heartbreaking that BFN can feel, even if this was our first round. I also second you on how nice a group this is. Not to knock any of the other threads, but I really enjoyed the support here because there isn't too many of us, so it's easy to keep up with everyone. I'd like to think that even though this is the "August Frozen Transfer" thread, that regardless of BFNs or BFPs that we can continue to support each other well beyond this round. I know when I didn't make it to transfer in May, I just felt like I had nowhere to go - I hope you don't feel like that and you can continue to share your journey and life with us. I hope that I can help and support you regardless of the outcome of this or any other round or choice you make.

AFM - still just waiting, waiting, waiting for that phone call. :D

. . . I just got the call from my clinic. I'm heartbroken - I feel sick. They confirmed what I knew - but call has left me really feeling desperate and uneasy. When I specifically asked (otherwise they wouldn't have mentionned) they said there was remotely traceable hcg - only 2 mIU. Which would explain the beginnings of a positive a few days ago. I know its desperate and silly. I'm here in floods of tears imagining all sorts. This is worse than an absolute no. What if it only implanted this morning? I know this is an impossibility. But what if it is an outside freak of nature and I stop the meds? I've had that awful queasy fizzy feeling - like I was sure I was maybe pregnant after I had those false positives. What if there is a chance and I go ahead and ruin it? I feel so sad that maybe I came so close this time ... but not close enough. I wondered if I should continue the meds and retest in a few days. I know how pathetic and desperate and sad it is.

Melo - Maybe speak to your clinic? Honestly, how much damage could a few more days do? Especially if it makes you feel more solid about your decision. I'd be asking.

Kizmet - I woke up this morning and hurried to the computer just to check on you. Yay! Your beta is great, congratulations mama! Did they schedule your ultrasound?

Melo - I don't think you're crazy at all. I actually know EXACTLY how you feel. With my last pregnancy back in April I had a miscarriage at 7wks3days. Anyway at the 6 wk. ultrasound the sac was measuring small so I always felt uneasy. Then at 7 wk ultrasound the sac had grown only 3 days. Then the final ultrasound sac only grew 2 more days and dr. said "I'm sorry." He scheduled me that night for a D&C so we could do testing on the tissue. I got ready went to the hospital with DH, waited for 6 hours, then I decided maybe he was wrong and I left. My husband couldn't believe I was doing this but I couldn't go through with the D&C for some reason. Oh, I forgot my beta levels were not that high at that point, probably 2,000-3,000 lower than what they should have been. So I made my DH leave with me and I started reading stories on the misdiagnosed miscarriage website. Don't do that, it's horrible and I made myself nuts. I began to believe that because the sac had grown 2 days, my doctor was wrong about his diagnosis, mind you there never was a heartbeat. I actually took myself to another facility to get a second opinion which only confirmed what my doctor told me. Long story short, I should have just told my doctor my concerns from the get go, I would not have had to sneak around without telling my husband ( who told me I was off the reservation ) go to another doctor and hear the bad news again just to get that next ultrasound. I miscarried naturally like a week later.
I think you should tell your doctor your concerns before you make yourself nuts. Ask him to test you again. Tell him it's for your own piece of mind. I am here for you to talk whenever you want. I really do understand.

Kizmet- how exciting!!! Congrats again and I cannot wait to hear more updates.I agree with you that this has been a great thread. Since there's not too many of us I feel like we have become a lot closer and supportive.

Itsmyturn,Jersey, yarnista- anything new with you all?

Melo/melmar- yet again I am so sorry for you all. Just because its an august frozen transfer group doesn't mean we can't keep it going. Hopefully we can all keep going and be there for you in the next part of your journey.

Kywilcat- we didn't get to meet but I assume that was you behind the curtain when we got there which means your embyro thawed and you got to do the transfer!!! Congrats on being pupo and keep us updated.

AFM- transfer complete! We ended up transferring 3 embryos. 2 that were AA grade and one that was BA. Since the BA grade one wasn't as good they would have just disgarded it so we said what they hey. So now here's to hoping at least 1 of those 3 stick. I will keep you guys posted. Bedrest today and then working from home the rest of the week makes for lots of spare time.

Hey girls,
I love seeing all the beautiful pictures!!!!!!!!!
Melmar & Melop: I'm so sorry for you both. I completely understand what you are going through right now and hope that you are able to recover from all of this. I hope that you both have lots of support around you.
Kizmet: So happy for you! That beta is terrific.
Kywildcat & blair: I hope both of you transfers went well. Blair it sounds like yours did and sending lots of sticky baby dust to you both.
Jerseyjane: I wasnt' sure are you in 2ww?

AFM: I'm just enjoying my last day off before back to school tomorrow. We have a back to school rally tonight I'm attending. I POAS this morning, just wondering if you all agree too soon right? The transfer was the afternoon of the 17th. I got a positive 10days after DD's transfer. I'm just so anxious to know and feeling worried about how Daddy's going to take it if it's BFN. Just have to take things one day at a time. I'm almost half way through knitting a pretty sweater for DD making it in a purple silk/wool that is so soft. I will post a pic if when it's done. Hugs to all of you!

Blair - Congratulations on being PUPO. 3, that is great. Good luck!

Yarnista - Yes I am in my 2ww. I test the day after you on August 31st. I transferred 2 blasts that were frozen on day 6. I too tested today like a jerk. I have never tested during the 2ww before and stupidly I go and do it 5 days past my transfer. I know it is probably too early but I bought 3 tests and they were just burning a hole in my cabinet. Oh, well better luck Friday.
