Crissylove- thanks hon!!!!!!!! What a sweet message. I appreciate all your prayers. Keep them coming! I am so very excited and still find it a little hard to believe. I am actually out of town on business so I had to tell DH over the phone. It was weird. I was in class with 100 people and saw on my phone that the clinic had called so I ducked out because I had to know right away. When I heard my favorite nurse tell me that I was pregnant, it felt like the whole world stopped for a minute and I started shaking and crying with joy. I couldn't call DH right away though, because I didn't want to miss any more class than I had to so I went back and tried to concentrate until our next official break when I called him. It was actually kind of cool to have it to myself for awhile.
When I called, I only had 15 minutes to talk and I was so emotional I couldn't even open my mouth for the first minute. When I finally was able to utter "we're pregnant" it was his turn to be speechless and emotional. At first he had a bunch of questions about whether or not we were "really" pregnant. He thought that is wasn't really official until my second beta on Monday. I explained to him that this was just the first of many subsequent tests that we had to worry about on our journey and that we were in fact pregnant. He is thrilled, but he is also VERY concerned and emotional about this because of how tough all the BFNs have been for me. Its really quite sweet, but his fear of what would happen to me if this didn't work out is overshadowing his joy. I am looking forward to the beta on Monday easing his mind.
I laughed out loud at the onesie comment! I would gladly put a healthy baby in a Gator's onesie as well. DH and I have been collecting college/pro team gear from all our travels since we started trying to conceive. We even have Duke baby socks from his last work trip (which will never touch my child's skin, but at least we have them). I am attending school at Furman University this week and they have FU onesies. How funny is that? I am going to pick one of those up too before I go. lol.
Glad you are sleeping good. I just woke up at 12:30 with strong cramps that have stopped. I know its just my uterus growing for my baby(s) but it is still scary! I decided to check in online. Glad I did, the new messages from my friends made my night.
Sunshine- I called and told my Mom and siblings yesterday. Tonight I sent a text photo to my SIL of my positive pregnancy test (creative way to break the news). SIL is 4 months pregnant and she was ecstatic. DH told his Dad. Everyone is super excited...now the trick will be keeping them quiet for the next 8 weeks before we go "public". Thanks so much for all you words of support. You are going to have your time soon!
WeHaveHope- Yay for an official FET date! My advice? Do everything they tell you NOT to do during the 2ww. It worked for me!
Seriously? I truly believe taking the one day and watching stand up for 6 hours rather than obsessing over the 2ww made a difference this time. After the one day I went back to life as normal. Do what makes you comfortable, keep up the PMA, and be happy. Its going to be great.
Okay- the fear from waking up with cramps is out of my system. Time to give my baby(s) the rest they need!
