JenMinks-congrats, great numbers.

Amanda-oh honey, I am so sorry. I know that nothing that I can possibly say will make your pain go away but please know that I am here for you and that you are always in my prayers.

JenMink, Congratulations Girl! This is an excellent beta and I know you and dh must be thrilled! So many attempts and this finally happens..This miracle brings so much hope and reminds us that we cannot give up on our dreams sooner or later it going to happen. I know there are days where we feel like we cannot keep going but when I read about miracles such as yours it brings me into the reality that yes miracles happen, especially to those who never loose hope and give up. This is a living example that we should never give up it's going to happen! Congratulations once again I am smiling ear to ear for you and yes I will be stalking you over on the PAT board. Amanda,
I know you are very disappointed, and heartbroken right now. We try to reason with all the science and in my our minds always asking but why, why is this happening like this, life is so brutial and unfair. I got mad today when I saw a teenager and her significant other walking over to the car with a babyseat, she had a very sour look on her face and I remember thinking but why? She doesn't know people like us would kill to have this opportunity to be a mother, she probably will never know it. I don't know her circumstances but I do know I would take her baby in a heartbeat. Even with so many unwanted babies out there, it makes me wonder what if we could make a difference in their lives, what if we had that chance. I often wander why does adoption have to be so expensive, there has to be a way around this. Apparently some people do find a way, because my own mother shared with me a heartwarming story. She told me there was this couple at the Atlanta airport with a stroller, (my mother works at the airport) and she asked so where is the baby? At that very moment the couple gets a phone call that the biological mother just went into labor!!! This excited couple boards the plane knowing they are about to meet their little miracle, the miracle they have long been waiting for! Amanda the reason I'm telling you all this, is becasue I still believe in miracles one way or another it's going to happen. Ladies even get pregnant when they are least expecting it to happen, I wish I could grasp everything and know what our plan is, but I will keep praying for you. I know it certainly has been a tough journey for you and you take all the time you need to make a final decision about your next steps. Sometimes a little break may help but we know if this is something you feel like you cannot stop thinking about, it's certainly not over for you my friend, and we will be here for you always if you ever need someone to talk to. xoxo Christy

JenMink - thank you. Your positive vibes are helping me. I'm such a wreck about tomorrow. So nervous. I've had pains in abdomen on and off since the FET, and I'm really bad because I can't tell the difference between gas and AF. Ha! Congrats on your BFP!!! 135 is great.

Ninde - thanks for the good thoughts!

We - good to hear from you! Hoping for your last beta tomorrow.

Leorira - I'm so sorry to hear about the adoption meeting. How disappointing. And how insensitive of her. Wishing you luck with the getting in your clinic on Thursday and having the lining at 10.

Sunshine - your posts make me hungry even through the nausea - thats supposed to be a complement :) Can't wait to hear your beta!

Rosie - sending you all my good vibes for some good 5 day transfers!! Thats a tough call. I think I would do the same if I were you.

Amanda - oh I'm so sorry. Its really not fair. I will be praying for the numbers to rise.

Hi ladies,
Had my Beta today and it was finally at zero. So bitter sweet. While others are asking for Beta doubling vibes, I've been waiting for the BIG ZERO. What can I do? In moments like this i remind myself of all the blessings I do have and i try not to focus in what I don't have or what I've lost. My IVF nurse will call me tomorrow with my Prigesterone and Estrogen levels. Since I haven't been on BCP since the MC, my RE needs to find out where I am in my cycle. She said that he needs to make sure that my lining stays nice and thin for the sugary on 11-18. Sometime this all feels so ridiculous, thick linkng, thin lining, BCP. One could go crazy with all of this. So I'm not sure at this point what my RE is looking for in the blood work but the end result is that I may start BCP again until surgery in order to keep the lining thin. Not very happy to hear that news. I was really hoping that I could stay away from taking anything until we got closer to the next cycle. Again, not much I can do. At this point it's about riding the IVF wave. It's all I can do and we will see where the wave takes us. I can't stress about this anymore. If I go back on BCP then fine. If I don't then fine. If they can do the surgery on 11-18 then fine and if they can't then fine as well and we will just have to wait. Stressing is not going to change anything. I need to put the focus and my energy back where it counts and is important and that is with my family. DH and my kids need me and they need for me to be in a good place. For now I've made peace with all of this. Sending you all many blessings.

With much love,

Maria

My viagra is on the way. SnS tomorrow and est. FET 12-2. I hope my lining cooperates this time. I can't afford to keep paying for these meds. We are already in for more than $1200 more than we thought this would cost. I am still going to be on 10 mg of Estrace... I thought they would lower it more, but I guess not. Please let this work! My DS told me he wants two babies! I hope that is a sign!

Gina - so sorry about your grandmother. We lost my grandma a year ago. I miss her dearly

Leorira - how very insenstive of your case worker to say those things. I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience. I feel your pain with the slowly-thickining lining. Mine was at 8 when he let me start progesterone. Hope yours is thick enough when you go back Thursday.

We - so happy to hear that your Beta is at zero. Love the pic of you and DH. Gorgeous couple. Also, thank you for keeping up the rollcall. This board moves so fast and I don't have time to read everyday, so I'm thankful for it to keep me updated on everyone's progress

Jenmink - congrats!

alwaysangel - has your RE suggested a D&C? I'm confused why it's taking so long for beta to come down.

anton - where are you girlie? I miss your colorful posts. :)

rosie - saying a prayer that your embies get to blast so they can come home to momma.

jayne - I'm one day behind you, as my FET was the 2nd. So far I have been able to resist testing. When is your beta?

blessed - I know how nervewracking this 2ww is. Please try to take it easy.

Amanda I'm so very sorry. That's what my beta was last time and I was on the rollercoaster for a few weeks. I know exactly how you are feeling right now. Sending you huge hugs.

I know I haven't gotten to everyone, but please know that I am praying for everyone here and come here often to read updates. It's so nice to be a part of this group and have so many that understand the struggles and emotions of this process.

AFM - I feel sortof....at peace. Haven't been obsessing and staring at the calendar like I did last time. Just taking it easy and waiting. Breasts are sore, but they were last time. Have felt some slight cramping, but again, felt that last time. However, last night DH and I were enjoying dinner out and I suddenly felt nauseous. Didn't feel that last time. :) Was going to try and upload pics of our embies but haven't had the energy to try and figure out how to do it. Heck I couldn't figure out the lillypie either, lol. Sometimes I lack the patience to figure that stuff out. Tons of prayers and baby dust to everyone.

Still laughing over dh finally beating me in a challenging game of scrabble tonight...a family favorite since I was so little and my grandmother played so many games with us growing up. It was too funny when dh and I were dating I would bring the boardgame out just so he could hang out a little longer with me. My brothers and dad didn't like the idea that I dated the same guy for more then a month at a time, I can stil hear them say "young lady you're getting too serious with him!" So I would break up and then 6 weeks later get back together with him, just knowing he was all I ever thought about and talked about and caught myself saying his name even when I would be out with someone else. in 1994 we attended the same college and were inseparable from that moment on, '99 he proposed on Valentine's weekend since he wanted to ask my dad first for my hand, my dad thought that was respectful (yet dad did have his shotgun case near by)...asking by how do you plan to support my daughter, and dad wanted so much to send me to the courthouse and give me the cash instead of a wedding but today I look back and know I wouldn't change a thing. There is nothing like any daddy walking his daughter down that aisle...

I was so fortunate to have him in my life, he was the most influential loving man of my life even though I lost my dad 12 years ago his memories are kept warm in my heart. For those reading this post please please never take high blood pressure and bad cholesterol for granted! It could very well cause blocked arteries leading to heart failure. ***One true sign is if your loved one complains of chest pain especially pain triggering down their arm. Obesity and "beat-red" face is what my family remembers about my dad. Problem is most men will not seek medical care and my dad was just like that. My stepmother tried to wake him one evening to come to bed and he wouldn't wake up, she called the paramedics but it was all too late... It's all to scary but I wanted to tell everyone since it could safe a loved ones life, maybe someone you personally know. Sorry I'm rambling again but I will get to personals soon, I promise... :)

Ok here is my attempt at personals and yes Leorira I will try to "copy and paste" so the gremlins won't to eat this one lol. :D

Margi, Thank you for checking on us, sometimes I feel like you never left us. Glad you are witnessing the miracles of two precious little ones, I know you must stay busy and glad they are home. Just getting into the routine must be a bit challenging right now, but you are going to be adjusting before we know it!

WeHaveHope, Wow what a beautiful wedding picture of you and dh and I think it's great that you two renewed wedding vows over the summer. I used to dream of renewing our wedding vows except my wedding gown is no longer with me. Some girl who found the box on the side of the road was probably very happy I'm sure well that's what I have to keep telling myself. Learned the hard way ALWAYS label your boxes when moving anything especiallly when they are as sentimental as this, some guys helped dh move so there is no dealing what happened. Oh well pictures are worth a thousand words, and I couldn't even imagine trying to fit into that dress today. :D

Alwaysangel, I have been wondering how you've been, sorry the beta is taking forever, I know some of us here can so relate!

Rosie, My Re would of recommended the same thing, a 5 day blastocyst sometimes tells us more, I really wish you the best!

Becca, I having very simular symptoms as you, the girls are still sore and tender but trying not to read into it too much. I found the sticks dh hid from me tonight but want to test maybe as late as Wedsnesday only because I get depressed and those sticks can ruin my day so easily. At least right now I have a neutral feeling with a tiny glimmer of hope but I'm truly not looking forward to doing more progesterone tablets either way. lol I would whether have the shot in my tush then constantly wipping my hiney!

Leorira, the viagra I don't know, but somethings in life are simply better left along. It's ok that older men use that stuff but people we know that is enough to make you wish you never opened that medicine cabinet. I found rogaine in my guest bath one day and never knew my brother uses that stuff but I couldn't stand the thought of asking him about it. lol

Gina, I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother, and we know it's never easy to let go. You must take this time to prepare yourself and tell her how much she means to you. I will be praying for you and your loved ones.

kerpuppies, I'm praying your pain will go away that you won't have to resort to any medical attention.

Ninde, I really hope the holidays will fly by so we can cycle together this January, I know several who will be joining you and I would rather wait until Jan/Feb before trying another attempt since the holidays can be a little crazy around here. How do you all celebrate the holidays in Ireland, is all your family there?

AFM: Really trying to wait it out to maybe test on Wednesday, I think I can hold out for one more day...

JenMink! Great numbers! Can't wait to see the rise.

Amanda-Sorry hun. I wish that number was higher.

Neffi- Can't wait to hear how the viagra works.

Christy- You crack me up! I will never forget losing a game of scrabble to my ex-husband. I'm the speech language specialist and he was the one who called me at work asking me how to spell taco. How could I lose???? I have never played again

Maria- Your picture is lovely!

AFM- Super tired, extra moody, and highly unmotivated to do much of anything. I'm eager and anxious for my u/s on Friday.

Thinking of all of you.

Ninde - there are almost no Israeli babies for adoption, that's why this wait for domestic adoption is so long. So frustrating.

Julia - my name is Leora. My screenname (for almost all things) is "leorira11". Yup - I made that up when I was 11 years old for my first AOL account :D I've used it for so many years that I can't bother changing it now! Your sister-in-law is coming over to shoot you up in the bum? Is she a nurse, or just a sadist? :D The 14th is soooo far away! I say POAS ( I would wait for 9dp3dt transfer for real results, but I usually start peeing really early!)Image
Image

Gina - it sucks to wait all day for people's results because we are a few hours ahead!

Alwaysangel - it took me 9 weeks for my beta to go to zero after my missed miscarriage/D&C. That waiting sucks so bad, because all you want to do is try again! I hope the bloodwork on Thursday tells you what's going on!

Margi - hey! I'm so happy you got your miracle babies, but it's so depressing for me. I can't believe it's November, and I'm doing this sh*t again. <sigh> Big hugs and kisses to the babies from me!

Rosie - oh honey - I'm sorry the embryos aren't doing as well as you'd hoped. If it helps, I've always gotten 14-16 eggs and only had 3-5 embryos on day 5 (and never blasts, only mourlae). I've gotten pregnant 3 times! Fingers crossed for Wednesday!Image Do you get another update before that?

dogzrule - weird that we've never cycled together, because we certainly stalk each other enough! Not sure why my clinic wants my lining so thick -- hopefully I can push them into letting me do the transfer next week!

Jayne - I saw a funny picture on facebook - it's the Thanksgiving turkey yelling at Santa Claus "This is MY month! Wait your turn!" :D I lived on 34th St in Manhattan for a few years, right near Macy's, and Christmas stuff started right after school started! I'm Jewish, so we don't celebrate Christmas, but I love it! I love the decorations and the music and the 'spirit' -- what's weird is that there is NONE of that here. Dec 25th passes without any kind of notice. It's so weird after growing up inthe USA! -- hoping your HPT was just too early. Did you test again today?

as for "relaxing" -- sheesh! If I had gotten pregnant 3+ years ago when we started trying, I wouldn't be stressed about it! Just physically doing the treatments is stressful enough - even without thinking about 'will it work or won't it?' ! I can't f*cking relax! Not when this is the most important thing to me and could change my life!

kerpupples - I'm still amazed at how many eggs you got! I've never OHSS but I've heard it's awful. I would definitely call the clinic and give them the heads up before it gets any worse. Feel better! Image

blessed - you are too early! Don't worry about the HPTs yet! Take another one today and let us know how it goes!

Amanda - I'm so so so so so heartbroken for you. I cried when I read your news last night. I'm hoping for a miracle, but I know that this isn't good. I'm so sorry. Image

Jen - so hard to share good news when someone else is sharing bad news, no? I'm so happy for your BFP though- 135 on 14"dpo" is fantastic! Check out betabase.info if you want to obsess more! Image

Christy - I'm loving loving loving your PMA! I hope some rubs off on me during my 2ww! Image

I'm so glad you have good memories of your courtship and wedding. My parents divorced when I was 12. When we got married, I wanted to avoid the whole mess by having both moms walk with me and both dads walk with David, but his parents rejected that. Months of pleading convinced my parents to walk me down the aisle together.... until the DAY of the wedding. While I was getting my hair/makeup done, my father called me and told me he wasn't coming to the wedding because my step-mother (who I rarely speak to and have no relationship with) was feeling left out. I broke down and called David. From stories I've heard, my usually-completely-chill husband went totally ape-shit on my dad and screamed at him for making me upset on my wedding day. My dad did show up and walk me down the aisle with my mom (before leaving early) but he was completely drunk and made an ass of himself.... not such fond memories! I'm so happy that I'm married to the David, but I hope to NEVER repeat that nightmare again! Awww... you've gone and made me nostalgic -- here is a wedding picture Image
I can't believe it's 6+ years already!

(just an explanation - D was wearing a nice suit underneath - but Jewish men traditionally wear white burial shrouds during the wedding ceremony. Weird, no? Traditionally, the bride buys the groom a set of white burial shrouds that he wears at the wedding and on Yom Kippur every year. It doesn't work out for everyone (these things get lost, or guys get bigger, or whatever), but it's considered a really good thing to be buried in the same shroud you got married in. Religion is weird sometimes, right? )

Maria - I'm glad you got down to zero. Did your RE tell you what to expect next? I don't remember exactly, but I think you are supposed to ovulate about 2 weeks after beta gets to zero. Kudos to you for trying to relax and just let whatever will happen, happen. I have the hardest time letting go of control. I hope you can relax a little bit and that the surgery goes off without a hitch next week. You look absolutely amazing in that picture!

Neffi - fingers crossed for your SnS. I hope the Viagra works. Sucks that you have to start again though....

Becca - I hope the nausea is a good sign - but you're probably too early for any signs, so don't worry if it doesn't happen again! Lilypie is easy - just make a ticker and copy the IMG code -- put the IMG code in between these brackets in your signature (via the User Control Panel - second tab "Profile" and then "edit signature" on the left)! I love tickers!

blue eyed - Friday is soooo soon! I can't wait to hear the good news! Hopefully a healthy little heartbeat!

AFM - wow. What a hard day. Today (November 8, 2011) was the boys' due date. Of course, with twins, we knew I would deliver by October, but still hard.

I put a new post on the blog I wrote about the boys. http://asafelman.blogspot.com/2011/11/n ... -boys.html

I'm taking my 4 (shhhh 5!) Estrofem tablets and waiting (impatiently) for my next SnS on Thursday. If my lining is 8 or more, I'm going to really push for a transfer next week instead of waiting another week.

(btw - BLINKIES ARE FUN! :D )
