Sunshine- thanks. Truth be told, I don't know how to do anything else but move forward. I've done it all my life. Sometimes it's good and other times not so much. But I would rather move forward than go backwards. There's no benefit in that.

I love the sharing of wedding photos. Leora's was so beautiful. I dug these out today. I love looking at them. They make me so happy. I can't believe it's been almost 10 1/2 years. Greek Orthodox weddings are very long. Maybe tomortow I'll share some of the wedding traditions. I love seeing and reading all about peoples traditions. All so different bit all so beautiful. My wedding was very long but very beautiful and spiritual. Nothing like the BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING. I don't think DH knows just how much I love him and how happy he makes me. He has fullfilled my life in ways i could have never imagined. He is such a caring person, the most amazing husband, the absolute beat father to both his childre and the greatest father to my son. I need to tell him more often. He deserves that and so much more.

Love, Love, Love the wedding pics! Gonna have to put some of mine up! How are you doing it? I've tried to upload some pics before but kept getting an error about it being too big.

Blessed- If you are injecting into the muscle in the leg then you don't have to put the needle all the way in. I used to have to give myself muscular shots for my MS. My doc told me that the needles are meant to go into anyone's muscle so they are actually a little long depending on your size. It is likely that if the shot is terribly painful then you are getting too close to the bone. Try injecting and not pushing the needle in all the way. I got too close to the bone a couple of times and it is horribly painful.

Blue-Thanks. You can upload the photos to photobucket, copy the IMG code, then past it. That's it. Can't wait to see some of your photos.

Here we go! I have a couple more good ones I could add. We got married on March 5 of this year. We eloped at a lovely 100 year old inn down at Mt. Rainier. We took 6 friends and had a blast. I made my veil and some handmade favors. DH is Chinese so we added some red for flair and a few other Chinese traditions. We had most of the elements of a traditional wedding just on a much smaller scale. It was pure delight! I didn't know it was possible to have so much fun at my own wedding. We married in the parlor in front of a beautiful fireplace. It was cold and there was a foot of snow outside. There was 20 feet of snow up at Paradise which was the highest we could go on the mountain at that time.

We held a hand binding ceremony instead of the typical unity candle, had a tea ceremony and tribute to dh's pet that died that week, and enjoyed involving our friends in the ceremony. As we all shared in the tea ceremony, our friends had to take a vow as well that they would support us in our marriage and share our journey with us. I don't remember the exact wording but it was great. They even had to say "we will".

Ninde - I think the reason they want us to wait until our names come up higher on the waiting list is that they don't want to put the money/effort into doing our background checks and home study, only to have to re-do them again. Also, if we find a baby some other way, we are off the list. I think they want to wait until it's more realistic until they put the effort into approving us. On our side, it's extremely frustrating. We don't even know if we'll get APPROVED after our 7 year wait! Of course, I can't imagine why not (we are generally healthy, young, heterosexual married couple), but that's still a scary thought -- a 7 year wait with NOTHING at the end of it.

Rosie - FINGERS CROSSED SOOOO TIGHTLY FOR YOU TODAY! Good luck! Let us know how it goes! Day 6 blasts aren't a bad thing -- I've always done day 5 transfers, but none of my embryos have ever been blasts - only mourlae (stage before blasts, so they would have been day 6 blasts) -- 5/10 embryos transferred = pregnancy - so that's a good sign!

Outlaw - aw shucks! So disappointing to go in for a SnS and not get great results. 3 in each isn't so bad, but not so great either. I hope more pop up!

Samantha - the 2ww is worse than anyone could imagine, no? :D Hopefully your beta will be really soon and really good! Will you be POAS (peeing on a stick - ie, using home pregnancy tests)? I've been pregnant 3 times, and each time I've suffered from HORRIBLE pregnancy symptoms. (I get hyperemesis gravidarum - meaning I puke up everything I eat, and even puke if I don't eat. I throw up 10+ times a day and end up on IV fluids and nutrients - it's awful!) and eve so, the symptoms only pop up around 6 weeks. You are waaaay too early for pregnancy symptoms!

Margi - as alwasy - thanks for crashing! I'm super thrilled that your babies are safe and sound, but I just wish that mine could be too.

Blessed - we both know you are still too early, but a negative pee stick is always a downer. {{hugs}}

Jayne - I remember all my due dates and all the dates I lost my babies (due May 1, 2010 - born/died December 26, 2009 : due April 18, 2011 - D&C Sept 14, 2010 : due Nov 8, 2011 - born July 19, 2011 and died July 24 and July 28, 2011) All those dates are hard... as is almost every day in between. I'm trying not to focus on the babies we've lost, or how much I hate the IVF, but on trying to figure out what the future holds for us. ---- I really hope you are wrong and that you get a surprise BFP tomorrow, but I completely understand why you are down right now... keep us posted.

kerpupples - looking back at my wedding, I shouldn't be surprised at all the drama, and it doesn't really matter in the long run (we are still happily married despite wedding drama!) but at the time, it was all-consuming. So much more drama has happened since, and sadly, I've lost touch with my dad (I've tried to reach out, but he doesn't reciprocate). He hasn't called me at all, even though I'm sure he's heard about my boys. How crazy is that? I sometimes mention that I'm worried that I won't love my kids. People tell me that I'm crazy, because parents always love their kids. But my own father doesn't care about me at all - so I worry...

Amanda - I really hope that this beta gives you a definitive answer - either yes or no. I'm hoping that you are totally shocked by a super high doubled/tripled beta, but we are here for you if that's not what's going to be. Big hugs.

Lydia - thanks. Nice to hear from you! Yup, Israelis are insanely into everyone's business. I'm a huge gossip and I love being in people's business, so I fit right in! :D David says I just need to learn how to tune these things out - and in general I do, but hearing them from this woman who is supposed to be helping us adopt was just too much. I can tune these cliche, obnoxious things out when friends/family say it, but not when doctors/nurses/social workers do... 4 weeks - ugh. I hope AF comes soon! Have your doctor run blood tests - if you aren't ovulating , you'd might as well do the progesterone.

Kiminish - sorry that you only got eggs from one ovary! That's so annoying! 8 is a great number though - can't wait to hear your fert report. Are you trying for a day 5 transfer?

Bodie - sure! Any time you have a question about obscure Jewish traditions - ask! I've spent more than a decade in religious private schools - I might as well use all the information that they shoved down my throat! :D Huge congrats on both babies still doing well!

Hope this works M - oh honey. I'm sorry that you are dealing with beta hell. Ashley had beta hell last year (not doubling correctly) and just welcomed a baby girl last week. (oddly enough, her screen name is "Hope is all I have" - so maybe that's a sign!) I hope yours continues to improve!

Neffi - ya know, I would never ever ever have considered donating my eggs/embryos before all this. The thought of our biological kids out there that we don't know was just too strange. After meeting so many women who need donor eggs/sperm/embryos for a variety of reasons, and learning how little I care about our kids being biologically ours (considering sperm donors and adoption) -- I really think that I'll become an egg donor/donate embryos. I know the retrieval process and it doesn't scare me - and if I'm giving the eggs away, there will be no stress about "BFP or BFN?" which is what's killing me now. Right now, I'm still focused on having our own kids (somehow...) but I think that after we have a kid of our own, I'll look into being an egg donor. Here in Israel, you don't get paid for it and it has to be anonymous - but why not? I have plenty of extra eggs and I know there are women who need them!

Christy - we met freshman year in college. I went to an all girls school that has a 'brother' all boys school (where David went). I was on the fencing team and part of the drama society - and he was also fencing and drama society on the men's campus. There was a lot of overlap between the two - so we had almost all of friends in common. We met at a fencing meet, but I don't really remember meeting him then. I was one of 3 girls to attend that meet, and I met all 20 guys, so I didn't remember specifically meeting him - but he remembers me. After that, we kept running into each other at joint fencing practices and drama society meetings. After meeting a few times, I decided I wanted to go out with him - so I wrote my phone number on his hand and told him to call me. He called the next day and we went out -- and the rest is history!

The funny part of the story is WHY I decided to start dating at 17 and a freshman in college (in religious Jewish circles, people don't date until they are ready for marriage, so I had never dated before and 'starting to date' was a sign that I was looking for a husband - which I really wasn't just after my 17th birthday!). My freshman year in college I was really really really tight on money. For several reasons, my dad stopped supporting me, and my mom lost her job the week I left for school. I was in a religious school - so I had a double curiculum (half day of Judaic subjects, half day of regular college) - AND I was working 3/4 time to pay my tuition and other bills. I was so frustrated that I was living in New York City and couldn't afford to do anything but go to school and eat pasta --- so I decided to start dating! On our first date, he took me to a fancy restaurant and I order every course plus dessert! :D He took me to see shows and out for dinner - it was awesome! I never planned on this being "the one", but it was!

POAS already! How many "dpo" are you?

Maria - I'm glad to hear that everything is working out. Thankful for small things, no? For me, I'm devastated at what happened this summer, but at the very least, my C-section recovery went fine. Of course, I would trade good recovery for ANYTHING if it meant I could keep my sons, but I can't - so at least I'm not ALSO dealing with bad C-section stuff. I hope the procedures go well.

Beautiful wedding pictures!

Blue eyed - you look AMAZING in those photos! And y'all are practically newly-weds! how fun! I wanted a small wedding, but my mom won out on that one  I was able to rein it in at about 150 people (which was considered small!), but I wanted even fewer! I always thought that wedding dresses with red on them were a bit weird, but I never thought about it in the context of Chinese tradition! That's so cool! btw, get ready for some awkward questions if your kids turn out to look like your DH. I know someone who has twin girls. The mom is caucasian, the dad is Korean -- and people always always always ask her if the girls are adopted! Too funny! People are so stupid and ignorant sometimes!

AFM - another day...

we went out for dinner last night and had a great time. I love "dates" with my husband. Of course, all of this sh*t is so hard on our relationship, but I'm so happy that we are still happy together. I joke that we are getting close to our "7 year slump", but things are really great. Of course, we fight and disagree and sometimes scream at each other, but in general, things are good. A bunch of my friends have kids really easily, but have horrific marriages, and I wonder if I'm better off this way...

Tomorrow is my next SnS. I think that in almost all circumstances, I'm going to really really REALLY push to start the progesterone this weekend for a transfer next week. I really don't want to carry this out to the week after. If my lining is about an 8 (or so), I'm going really beg.

Can someone tell me how to get pictures from photobucket to my fb albums? I've tried using all the links you can choose but it isn't working. I can't find my album with them this is my only way of getting them there. They aren't on my computer either.

I was sitting next to another girl who was getting ready for her ER also and she had the exact same issue as you did. Her right ovary had a blood vessel that was keeping the doctor from gaining access. So she also had to only have her left ovary supply the eggs. I had never heard of that issue before her but now after seeing you post the same issue I see that it is possibly more common than I orginally thought. So dont be scared, your doctor knows what is best! Also, I got 11 eggs from BOTH ovaries, so dont feel too low about your 8...its still a good number! Out of the 11 eggs by our day 5 transfer we fell down to only 2 good viable embryos and although I was devestated that there would be none to freeze for a second round, God forbiding this time didnt work, we are choosing to look at this as Gods way of saying "This is all you need because this time is gonna work!!" God also knows whats best and if He didnt feel like 8 was enough, you would have had a different outcome. Trust in God girl![/quote]

I think I just messed up the quote function but oh well.

Samantha- this is exactly how DH and I feel about having 12 eggs, down to 11, down to only 4 fertilizing then getting the news that the embabies had to be a day 3 transfer bc of growth issues. It took me a bit to come to that but we definitely see it that way now. Thank you for writing that so succinctly!

I'm laying in bed at 4am at my DH's parents as he is in Detroit for business. MIL is the best in the world and we had fun cooking together last night. She's a great southern cook. I made them chicken parmesan, spaghetti and bread with parmesan/mozzarella broiled on. She made a wonderful Olive Garden type salad and homemade peach cobbler. So sup good! My sister in law came over to eat with us and give me my pio shot. Evidently I walked out of my house yesterday morning without my numbing cream. I was so scared and so was she! I told her how when dh does it I hold on to these little john dere socks DH brought home and say little baby feet, little baby feet while he shoots me up. So I'm laying on the guest room bed and herr she comes going, little baby feet little baby feet! She was more nervous than I was lol.
I don't feel pregnant. The et was a week ago yesterday. We go in for beta this monday. I broke down and bought hpts but I couldn't use them :( dh keeps calling me Peter and saying to trust Him. I don't doubt for a second that He can, I just don't know if He will.....AF would likely be today or tomorrow and I'm crampy. But I've been crampy this whole week. I'm in 2ww hell.

Me and my little man Michael. I don't think that date is correct for the picture. He will be 12 soon! I had to stay 9 days and he had 1 extra day so I stayed with him of course :) The bandage on his arm is due to an IV he had. He had a little breathing issue at first from swallowing some of the fluid inside me as he was coming out but all ended up being just find and no problems later. He was born 1:04am.

Oh and the nurses got the wrong patient (ME) and stopped my contractions for an emergency c-section. They caught that and started me up again. He didn't want to come out so easy and turned his shoulder to block so I ended up having a C-section anyway!

We- those are such wonderful pictures! You all are such a handsome couple!! Thanks for sharing. Hope youre doing well.

Jayne- ((hugs for you)) I wish there were some profound thing I could say to you but I just don't have the words. I'm praying for you and thinking of you.

Samantha-glad to see you! Hoping for great things for you!

Leora- also wonderful pictures. I went to ab all girls school as well. Boarding school actually in Massachusetts. Nothing like that experience altho I'm afraid I squandered it :( totally didn't appreciate what my mother was doing for me. Our junior class trip was a free trip to england and I refused to go bc I was a brat and was mad at my dad. He's from there so I didn't go to piss him off. Who does that!? spoiled little brats, that's who!

Gina-aw that's a beautiful picture! He's precious.

Ninde- I'm hanging in there, not feeling pregnant but never known before when I was this early...thank you so much for asking!

Blue- you're such a beautiful bride and such a handsome groom! You guys look great together.

Bodie-that's terrific!! So glad to hear it. Thank u.

Amanda- I'm so sorry for your pain right now. I'm praying for you and hoping you get better news.

Sunshine- how are you today? Praying all is well with you.
Blessed-lol@the commercial crying. Try crying on one about dog food. At least your tears made some sense! :D

Oh my gosh I so suck at personals. Each post I read there's something I intend to comment on and then I get to typing and cannot remember to whom or what I was going to say! I may have shared some of this before, but someone was talking about coming off anesthesia and it reminded me of what dh told me I did. Sorry if this is redundant. I felt it as soon as I was semi lucid and asked for a dilaudid and eggs benedict. Then they asked me if I would like something to drink, I said grape juice please. They said we don't have any, we have oj, apple juice and water, what would you like? I said grape juice. Guess I'm stubborn lol. Then I asked then if I could mop my kitchen floor when I got home and they said no. I said to dh, omg. We have to hire someone. He said ok just to get me to shut up lol. The only other thing I know for sure I said was after the surgical nurse brought me one of those deliciously warm blankets. I looked at her, looked at dh and said we are taking her home. I had told him how stupid I act coming off that stuff and asked him to get me to shush if it happened. However, when it did and he's making the gestures to me to zip it I remember thinking damn he's rude, them continued to talk. Anyone else do crazy anesthetic induced things or am I alone in this?
