Thanks Laura! They said as per my age, the average dosage didnt help as I had a total of 6 follies in both ovaries of varied sizes from 350 Gonal F. My RE followed the antagonist protocol and had me take Repronex (75) + Gonal F 450 + Cetrotide. I was triggered on the 12th day.

During my 2ww, I am taking progesterone shots and vivelle dots. I took PTO for 7 working days - thanksgiving is a bonus :)

Gina - so sorry about your grandmother and thats terrible how you found out.

Sunshine - good luck on Friday. Hope your store does awesome!

Anton - thanks for the kind advice. I'm trying to follow it :)

Indigo - Hi. Nice to meet you.

Hope - 9 days after my 5 day transfer I was 4 weeks pregnant. So at 28 days after I would think that would make you just over 6 weeks 5 days yesterday? Let us know what the calculator that Nicole posted says.

Greekchick - hi, nice to meet you.

Laura - great news on the SnS.

Nac - Welcome and congrats on being PUPO! I did a FET so my 2WW was only 9 days. But I had the first 4 days off where I just rested and watch movies. Then went back to work to pass the rest of the time. I POAS after 7 days. Do you plan to POAS?

hi ladies
just found out the doctor wants to do 1 more sperm gentic test next week..and they want to start me on low stimulation for my 3rd ivf but im goin sit back for a while like i said no need to rush like i did with the 1st n 2nd time ..I'm thinkin more n more my problem is stress with my mother in law living with us etc but now shes moved out me n the dh are soooo much more relaxed in ourselves so hopefully that will be in our favour..Ive also just found out my cousin is pregant after 9years of trying 3 rounds of ivf and got preggers all alone, she bought duofertlity she worn it for 3months an shes preggers !!if you don't get pregant within 12month they give u a full refund ive looked at the website but you have to give them a lot of details about you and your dh before you purchase it, 'ive sent them a huge email just so waiting for them to get bk to me..
check it out ladies..http://www.duofertility.com/

Evening ladies, home and in bed posting!

Maria: this is such a difficult time for you all. You are in my prayers andthoughts and will be even more so on fri.

Leorira: I think I see it. If anyone could see me twisting and turning the screen on my tablet they would think was nuts! How are you feeling?

Gina: I hope your ds is ok.

Christy: how was work?

LauraN: that is great news!!!!! So you are looking at transfer on 11/28 (still feels weird to write the date like that!!)

Nat: welcome and congratulations on being pupo. I took a couple of days off and then worked, some of that was tough but in general I was fine to work and then rest alot in the evenings. My first ivf garnered 11 eggs and my clinic considered me a good responder!! And if you froze 4 your quality must have been good? What's PTO?

Bodie: (every time i type your name I get 'bodies' automatically filling in!!),thank you for the complimentand if customs and excise would let me I would fedex you some :-) how are you feeling?

Greekchic: stress is definately not a help so im glad you and your dh have some privacy and your home to yourselves

Afm: long day but good. Slghtly tinged with sadness at the end. I've suspected one of my students is pregnant and she told me this evening she is. Its great for her but I couldnt help but feed a little sad when she told me her due day - 6 days before mine would have been. Its odd how certain reminders hit more than others.

Sleep well all x

Maria, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family right now. May God deliver some peace and comfort surrounded with love at this time. It's our family who always helps to give us support to make this somewhat easier, but it's going to take time and lots of comfort food. When a loved one passes on, my family is the first to make a spread of comfort food, that with all the fellowship of being around everyone we are close to always seems to ease the pain. But I will continue to pray for your family Maria, especially your son. May God be with you and your family during this time.
Sincerely,
Christy

Thanks Ninde,
My hands ache as I continue to type tonight...work was busy but I let the girls make the salesplan while I conquered 9 boxes of stock. Trying really hard to get the stockroom cleaned out before the doors open on Friday morning. I'll be doing more personals in a little bit, must rest my fingers for now. :D

Calculator says we are 6 weeks, 6 days! A litle worried because the cytokline level was a little high in the blood work so they are upping the prednisone dosage a little and will take another blood test next week. I must say, I do feel like my doctor is on top of things...

Gosh - I am so far behind!

Ninde - Those sort of announcements are always a punch in the gut. I know I always had a difficult time seeing woman due around the same time I was thinking of what might have been.

We - You and your family continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Wishing you lots of strength on Friday. You have had such a hard month.

Blue - I hope that the worst is over. You are in my thoughts.

LauraN - So happy you got a good report today. Good luck this cycle!

Leora - I am rooting so hard for you!!! I want this to work so badly.

Gina - You have been in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry for your loss.

Sunshine - Looking forward to hearing all about your black Friday adventures :)

AFM, beta #2 yesterday was 849, up from 308 2 days before :) Now we are done with betas and wait until a first u/s late next week. I woke up this morning with a bad headache (it actually started last night). I am a little nervous about it, because I tend to get headaches with fluctuations in estrogen, and I really hope my E2 isn't dropping.

Patricia - Feeling pressured to do another cycle is something that is so foreign to people who have to pay out of pocket, but Rosie and I were discussing it (we meet up in "real life"!) and having "all you can do" IVF cycles is a bit overwhelming. Yes, it's great that I'm not thousands and thousands of dollars in debt -- but would I still be doing this if I was? I think 'stopping' would be much easier if we had to consider $15,000/cycle - but since we pay almost nothing (just for needles and co-pays --- and the nurses usually sneak me plenty of free needles!), we have more pressure to keep going. EVERYONE in my life says "why switch to adoption? You know you can get pregnant - just do more cycles!" without understand how SOUL-CRUSHING each cycle is...

Gina - so glad to hear you had a good talk with your mom. Mine got married on Sunday, but I've been dodging her calls since. She doesn't know we are doing the IVF again (she really wants us to wait until July - one year post-C-section), but I really want to tell her some good news. I'm hoping I can push off our talk until next week and I can tell her I'm pregnant! -- btw, about your DS, my grandfather passed away when I was 12 and it was the first death in the family I had to deal with. It was the first time I had ever thought about death, and that scared me more than losing my grandfather. I was suddenly afraid that my mom or dad or siblings could die just like my grandpa had (even though he had been old and losing a battle with cancer).

Christy - I can't for the life of me figure out if the Obama Chia Pet is for people who LIKE Obama (and Chia Pets?), or people who don't like him (and want to make fun of him). Who would buy that? (Although, now that I've seen it, I kinda think it would be a great gag gift -- but again, for Obama supporters or opponents?)

Laura - yay! I'm so excited for you! It's such a relief to learn that the injections are working!

Nac - welcome! I'm in my 2ww wait too -- and I hate it! This is my 7th IVF 2ww -- they don't get any easier! I don't do anything special (no bed rest, no restrictions -- ) and I've gotten pregnant on half of my cycles, so try not to worry! Some of the acronyms on this site have an underline underneath them, if you 'mouse-over' (ie, hover with the cursor), the definition will show up.

Bodie - amazing how fast that ticker is going! I'm sure you are counting every single day - but I can't believe you are 9.5 weeks already! Hopefully time will fly by!

GreekChick - congrats on your MIL moving out! When we moved to Israel 4+ years ago, we lived with my mom for 2 weeks (before our flight. We had to send our stuff ahead!) and then with my inlaws for 4 weeks (while we looked for a place to live). GAH! Most stressful 6 weeks of my life! I'm glad y'all have a place to yourselves again!

Maria - no worries. Lots of big hugs.

HopeThisWorksM - yay! Almost 7 weeks! And feeling like your doctor is on top of things is great -- I never trust my doctors, and that's so hard.

Rosie - YAY! Your betas are really high! I'm so excited for your u/s! (Where do you go? Back to Assuta, or here at Maccabi?)

AFM -

I don't know!

I see a faint line on all the tests, but usually only towards the end of the 10 min time limit or after that. I'm not 100% sure the line is pink. I'm really really really hoping that this isn't just an indent/evap line. I've used this brand test in the past and never had false lines - but this is a new batch. Would I get an indent/evap on EVERY test?

I don't know what to think!

I'll keep testing, and I'm dying for my blood test. Probably on Sunday!

obsess with me, if you'd like

Leora- Thank for you sharing that. That was also his first death in the family experience. Others have been animals (my Moms) but that's it. Once this pain as gotten much easier to deal with I'm make sure he doesn't have any questions or other worries. This only my second time having someone this close pass away, it was my Grand-Dad first and that was over 15 years ago.

As for your Mom- I'd avoid her calls too because I know I wouldn't be able to hold back from telling! I think it's a great idea to wait so she can hear about a BFP!

On that test just posted......where would the line be if it was a BFP? If it's where I'm thinking it should, I def can see some pink!

Ok these are the ones I use too so duh me I know where the line should be. It looks like I see something there. I'm on a laptop and if I move it back some it looks like something there!

Leora-- I think I see something....I don't see why it is ever to early to have a blood test. Either there is or there isnt HCG and then whatever that number is....it just has to rise. Chemicals are the only reason RE wants me to wait, although if I call with a +hpt they tell me to come in for a beta, so it makes no sense anyway. I hope your line continues to get darker! I wish I could see the real test. A picture on the computer is so hard to look at.

AFM- Viagra is more of a mess now becasue I dont think my body is absorbing as much as the first couple days. Monday is my lining check and then transfer will be either Dec 6th or 9th. My RE recommends 21 days of estrace before transfer, but thats so much longer than others I've read about so I asked and they said they will decide once I come in for my lining check.

So guys, in your oppinion, how many weeks you think one should wait before telling parents that you are pregnant? We are thinking of telling them after week 8 but now we are thinking waiting until Christmas which will be 11.5 weeks pregnant. We are just nervous and dont want anything to go wrongand have to explain to everyone... Right now we are 7 weeks and have seen the heartbeat last Friday with Ultrasound #2 scheduled for this Friday... What do you guys think?
