Christy - I took BCP only to control my cycle (which is not regular at all) so that I would know when I would get AF. But then again, I never had to supress, because I don't have a regular cycle. So annoying that they won't answer you! Sorry that AF showed up.... I'm always hoping that you'll get your miracle.

Patricia - April 12th is so soon (and so far away!). Fingers crossed soooo much for you!

BabySoft - you can't tell at all from betas if it's a singleton or twins (my first twin pregnancy had super high betas, but my second twin pregnancy had betas lower than my singleton). I know you can't control whether it happens or not, but remember that twins is NOT a good side effect of IVF. Your beta sounds great, congrats!

Julia - yeah, when is your beta? No POAS?

Lori (always angel) - hi! I've had 4 pregnancies and still no kids... or answers. It sucks. Are you planning on cycling again soon?

Lydia - almost 18 weeks? YAY! Do you know if it's a boy or a girl yet?

GreekChick - I've done cycles with accupuncture and gotten BFNs and BFPs. I've done cycles without accupuncture and gotten BFNs and BFPs. I'm not sure it helps the IVF, but it can definitely help you relax. Now, I'm doing massages instead, to help me de-stress and relax.

Cyn- I usually got good POAS results from 12dpo (7dp5dt).

Laura - quicker is better, no? Less drugs, less sticks, etc. 8 follicles is good - and maybe more will pop up. I always bruise like a peach.

Globetrotter - congrats on stimming! (Btw - you'll feel 'heavy' in your abdomen from the ovaries growing, but from what I understand, ovarian torsion would hurt so bad you'd be rushing to the ER - so don't worry!)

Sonya - I'm still here! *waves* How's Brogan doing? I think Anna is cycling again soon. Crazy that y'all are trying for another, and I'm still trying to bring home my first.

Michelle (Jacks' mom) - Congrats on your little boy. He's handsome!

AFM - GAH! 2 weeks! I'm excited and nervous. In a way, both a BFN and a BFP scare the crap out of me. I told D that we need to plan a weekend away for May 19th. We'll have our beta results by then. Either I'll be just pregnant, or be dealing with a killer AF from a BFN cycle. I want to be away for that.

We met with the foster-to-adopt agency this morning and it was brutal emotionally. The woman was asking how we would deal with having a baby, but needing to bring the baby in every week for a visit with the biological mom, and things like that. I told her straight up that of course foster care isn't our first choice, but we are quickly running out of options. We can handle anything. She says she'll recommend us to her boss (we are not 'ideal' already because we take anti-depressants. I told her that in our situation, taking anti-depressants and going to therapy should be expected and been seen as a sign of maturity and strength - not a 'psychological problem')

Salt on the wound? The social worker is pregnant. F*ck.

How am I going to deal with another BFN? How am I going to deal with another pregnancy? I don't know. I just want to stop and get off this f*cking roller coaster.

I hate my life.

Tonight I have a chill night -- just vegging in front of the TV. Hopefully that'll help my stress.

Sorry that I'm not writing often. I'm reading everyday, but not feeling 'up' to writing. People are noticing that I'm not as up-beat or "okay" as I usually am. Well - I think I have the right to a few 'down' days. I hope they pass soon, becuase I feel like crap.

I would give absolutely anything to have a baby without having to do this sh*t again....

Leora: thank you for your good wishes; im sorry out feel so wretched. To be fair I dont think anyone would suggest you dont have a right to down days, as many as you want actually. I think people expressed concern for you because we care about you, not a judgement that you shouldnt feel down. This is an arduous journey, some have better journeys than others which I know doesn't always feel fair. And each one of us needs support. You have had horrendous experiences and you are doing your best to cope, that's all any of us can do given the hand of difficult fertility we have all been dealt. I really wish everyone here will have the pregnancies we all wish for, each one of us deserves that. It may not happen but that doesn't mean we dont deserve them. You were absolutely right to tell that lady that anti-depressants and therapy are a sign of maturity. This is painful for all of us and there seems to be no way around that other than through it. So I hope you arnt angry with peoples concern, I know its given from a good place even though it might irritate/upset you or feel non supportive. Im thinking of yourself and david and wishing you the very best of absolutely everything and most of all some peace for you both deserve that too x

Hi everyone,

I apologize for all the questions this weekend. I just got my E2 Day 3 blood test result. Holy cow - it's 227. Based on some quick readings, it's a Day 8 level. They are dropping menopur from 2 to 1 vial but I keep follistism at 150 units and Lupron at 5units.

What does this mean??? My next blood draw and ultrasound is in 2 days (tuesday).

Globetrotter - First, calm down. You are fine. I went back through my calendar for my 2 fresh cycles and you are OK. My first cycle where I only got 10 eggs my 3 day E2 was 118. My second cycle where I got 26 eggs my 3 day E2 was 265 and there were no changes made to my meds at that point. Every woman different, stay away from Google, the info out there does nothing but get you more anxious. I am not sure where you are getting your info, but my day 8 E2 were 1184 (first cycle) and 2104. You are no where near a day 8 level. Just trust your docs, they do this everyday and will let you know when to worry. All this means is that since this is your first cycle they will play it safe. Relax, the anxiety just makes your body tense and is worse for the entire process. Regarding the ovarian sensations, you are expected to feel some fullness in your ovaries. Like everyone else has said, torsion is excruciatingly painful. Just breathe and relax.

Oh thanks! Someone called back from the hospital (they didn't know I had gotten a call already) so I got to ask questions. She said everything is fine, it's a good thing I am responding well. She did say that Day 8 level would be in the 1,000s so no idea why the 'internet' (some random thread on a board) said that. I'll try to relax and just be happy I only need one vial of the evil menopur that burns like hell!

Ninde-
How are you feeling, you haven't given up on Crocheting have you? I will try to send you a link to some tutorials that helped me get started. Thank you, I started to post my question to Ghost who probably would of given me some reassurance but honestly if it were up to me I would further delay IVF. Personally after being through it once, I'm not convinced it's going to work but I don't know what else we can do? It's been a very long road and now I have to find a way to de-stress and get ready for May. IF we can just make it to ER and have a handful make it to fertization with some frosties for a FET later on I will be over the moon. I just want that chance for a FET, I don't know why but I've always wanted to try a FET anything to stay away from the shots and craziness with out-of-control hormones I guess! Heck I'm not even on meds right now but probably could use something pretty strong right about now!

Leora-
If anyone deserves to have a baby it's You and David! I wish we could wave a wand and our rainbow babies would come to us. But as we all know anything worth having in life is not meant to be easy, I know it sucks and it's not fair. But I also know we are not going to give up because we have already decided there is nothing more important that matters in life. So one way or another we will bring home our rainbow baby. x

AFM: Fought with the worse migrane at work today wanted to go home early but was unable to and all I had to take was aspririn. By Monday AF will be over thankfully. My boss is gone for a week and left me and another manager in charge but I know this week will fly by, they always do! As for my clinic I left a complaint with the answering service, won't vent anymore on that. Either they call me tomorrow or I'll have one more natural cycle to try on our own whatever.

Hey all,

Always, it's nice to see you back.

I know there are other newbies but I am being lazy and tired so I will given you all a shout out together. Welcome to us, welcome back, glad we can be here for each other.

Ninde, glad you are doing well. I can't believe you have nerves of steel to hold out on POAS.

Christy, good luck with the upcoming SnS, etc. I am really hopeful and optimistic that this will be it for you. I'm jealous of you all and your crocheting. My former MIL tried to teach me how but I couldn't pick it up from her. I have tried to teach myself to knit via youtube. I really need a live teacher.

Julia, Good Luck with the beta.

Leora, I totally understand. This journey sucks. The foster system is really difficult. Not only do you have to deal with the child having family visits, you have to deal with the possibility that the child will return to its family. My SIL was asking me today if we were researching other options like adoption or surrogacy. We haven't talked about much yet. I think we are going to try another IVF round before moving on.

AFM, we had to go to Canada to visit DH family this weekend. I had a Pink Papaya gathering yesterday afternoon with a few girl friends and then we headed out. Today was the day we celebrate Tomb Sweeping Day. We go to three grave sites, clean the area, and offer gestures to the deceased. We take a tray of food, three sets of red chopsticks and three small cups, incense, and a bucket-oh, can't forget about the Brandy. We light the incense, pray, pour the liquor over the grave, and then burn paper (fake) money. It's all meant to be passed on in spirit. It's kind of neat. Some of the families go all out and bring lots of flowers, firecrackers, and I've even seen someone carry in a whole roasted hog.

I had two killer personal training sessions back to back Thur and Fri. My legs are fried and I'm exhausted. Heading up for an epsom salt soak now.

Have a wonderful Monday.

Leora;

You are the reason I peek in here often. The passing of your babies had an impact on my heart. I can't pretend to understand what you have both endured, I can only have as much empathy as humanly possible. I know in my heart of hearts that your baby is waiting for you and longing for you.... I know it sounds crazy, but we kind of believe that our baby... our Brogan.. was just waiting for the right body, the strongest, healthiest cells, for my body to be just right. I don't know if that makes sense, or if it makes it easier or harder, but somehow for us, it felt true. It's going to happen for you, you will bring home a baby; I pray that it's a baby from your womb, but any baby, needing a mommy and a daddy, will sooth the wounds and distract the mind.
I have often held Brogan and thought of your angels.... and honour their lives by being grateful for the blessing we received.

I most likely sound like a crazy person right now... but what you've endured makes me feel a little crazy for you. With all my mommy to mommy love, across the oceans and mountains, Sonya.

Morning ladies :)

Maria: I'm doing ok thank you :) Woke feeling quite nauseous but I'm pretty sure thats the projesterone. A tiny bit of crampy movement today which im cheering on! How are you feeling? I was so curious to read that the Greek Orthodox Palm Sunday is next week when ours was yesterday. In 2014 apparently we will have Easter Sunday on the same day :) Whats a level 2 anatomy scan - is that where you find out the gender? I think we can only do that here at 20 weeks

Babysoft: I can't imagine life now wihtout the internet! How are you feeling?

Cyn22: How are you? Are you staying on bed-rest?

Globe: I'm glad FV Rogers was able to reassure you. Seriously though - don't surf - you will get terrible horror stories!!!! How is your ovary feeling?

Christy: Until someone can show me how to do a chain stitch I may have to give up! Seriously I'm not someone who gets anxious or stressed and went through the whole IVF thing without stress or anxiety and then I get wound up about not being able to do a bloody chain stitch!!! But thank you if you have some tutorials (literally for the feeble-minded when it comes to anything arty!) that would be great. Ouch not good on the migrane. How are you now?

Nicole: I hadn't ever heard of Tomb Sweeping Day - what an amazing tradition and well done you on your training - thats brilliant.

Greek: How are you?

Afm: Back to work today. So three clients here and then two at home so not too heavy. Other than that I have decided that just in case my two embies need a little help - that I am visualsing two ropes on the inside of my uterus that they can cling on to if they are having difficulties sticking to the wall. That way they can absail down when they are a bit stronger and stick then :D And people let; me lose on their minds?!!! Actually now that I think of it - maybe those huge sticky wrestling suits might be better?!

Leora- my beta is this Friday,.the 6th. I'm almost dreading it. I'm not gonna poas.

Maria- i'm doing ok thank you for asking. We had a low key weekend, went to an annual festival in dh's hometown called Tater day. It started in 1843. Just a ton of fair food and was fun. How are you?

Ninde- glad you're doing well! You sound like you're in great spirits. I think you have a great idea with the visualization. Laura N and I had talked about doing that, imagining a ton of follicles in our cases...I guess I didn't do enough visualizing lol.

Christy- that is so frustrating!! This is the new clinic? Do I have that right? With the attain program?.

Blueeyed- thank you! Man you're so active! That's great!

Bodie-thank you for your well wishes! So good to see you, how are you doing?

Afm-think i'm numb. Sometimes hope Wells up and it feels great to feel it but i'm afraid to let go and just have a disappointment. It was day 12 of the 2ww last time when I started bleeding, so until I pass that point I won't feel much security. Nit that I should feel much then either! Ugh, sorry i'm Debbie Downer! I'm afraid is all. I've been feeling pulling in my abdomen, not much cramping anymore which i've taken as a good sign. Hope it is. Felt nauseous2 nights in a row. I'm wondering if its just the progesterone. I've had a weird itchy rash on the inside of my arms where they bend. No clue what that could be! Hope everyone is doing well!!

Ninde-crampiness is a good sign so I'm cheering it on for you as well. Remind me when your Beta is again??? The Greek Orthodox church still follows the lunar calendar so that's why our Palm Sunday's and Easter's typical don't fall on the same day. Howeve once in a while they will. Whn the kids were little it was great because I would go the day after Easter to buy all of the Easter items 50% and then celebrate our Easter, such a bargain especially since I would buy all of the plastic Ester eggs for my Sunday school class. A level 2 is a detailed anatomy scan where they will look at the babies anatomy in detail and also try an determine the gender. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Julia-I'm glad you had a nice weekend with DH. The festival sounds really nice. I am feeling ok, thank you for asking. Still spotting a bit but no more bright red bleeding so I'm happy with that. I am praying for your BFP. Keep your head up. I have a really good feeling about this cycle for you. Sending you a big hug.

More personals later. Heading off to work and then to my 11am u/s apoointment. Sending all of you much love.
