Evening ladies, apologies for being Mia, I've been marking exams since fri and am only lifting my head now.

Hopethisworks: oh im really hoping it was just a bad image on the u/s. I hope you have both of your babies still. How was your scan today?

Leora: im sorry you are having such a rough time. Wow, you fight it so hard then dont you? Its fantastic that you keep going, you find ways of reaching out and hard as it is, it is the thing to do to keep you connected. I really admire what you you did, it cant have been easy. The dress is lovely and i would go with your own size. Did the air conditioning thing that happened with kynlee not happen to amy?

Kynlee: wow, 10,000, that's amazing and you really deserve some amazingly good fortune after all you did. I hope you feel much better soon.

Nicole: well done you. I've plateauxed again. Can I ask what your diet is like?

Maria: really nice to hear from you. And such beautiful names. Itsour 13th anniversary tomorrow.

Cyn: congrats on being pupo:-) how are you feeling?

Anna: I hope the pap smear comes back totally clear. I can only imagine your nervousness with your history.

Dan me: everything crossed for the 13th. Brogan is a nice name.

Lauren: how are you doing?

Madam x: wow, that was a cranky nurse!!when will you transfer?

Christy: how are you? Im worried about you

Afm: remember my client who had three miscarriages who saw me two weeks ago and was 6 weeks pregnant? I saw her on Thursday, she texted me that morning and she had miscarried again. She was distraght.this is such a horrendous experience for her im unfortunately so used to us here having miscarriages that I sometimes forget it happens to non-ivf people too.

I thought this was really funny:

You might have 2WW syndrome if you have one or more of the following symptoms.

Symptoms

Familiarity with the acronym POAS and using it frequently in a messageboard setting.
Repeated questioning about when to take a home pregnancy test (HPT) while knowing the answer.
Wishing hCG will go away fast then come back even quicker.
Stockpiling evil test kits.
Complete disinterest of anything unrelated to an IVF or pregnancy Google search.
Knowing what 6dp3dt means.
Persistant dreams about two red lines.
Urinembryophobia - the fear of peeing out embryos.
Possible desire for 10 days of bed rest or hybernation.
Being wished 'sticky thoughts' by complete strangers.
Obsessive analysis of every body twinge.
Being certain of pregnancy signs at any given moment.
Being certain of a negative result the next minute.
Not sure if one should laugh or cry, for no reason whatsoever.
The desire to hide from in-laws.
Belief that some food groups conspire to attack embryos.
Talking to a higher power, even if not religious.

Nothing new on my end!! Just waiting out these last 7 days (6 if I don't count the actual testing date) seems like its going faster this time because I'm not going crazy. I'm not feeling anything. Which is really different because my last 3 times I swore something was already moving in there.. Lol ... Feeling good & staying positive!

Hope everyone else is doing good !!
Good Luck to ALL!

Hey Ladies!! I haven't posted in a while but get ready to jump on the rollercoaster again in the end of June/July!! I have been reading checking up on my girlies!!! Just found out on Thursday that re wants a month on bc pills before this we round! This was not in my plans so luckily it worked out since Af arrived on Friday as planned. But urologist is out of town til 7/8 as my husband needs a tesa. So I will ave to do more than a 28 day pack in order to ensure uro is back in town in time for dh procedure. It just makes me mad as I am normally a 32 day girl and naturally would have been fine but because of pgd re now wants bc pills! He never made me do this before.

This will be the 6th transfer in 2 years-- ivf mc at 6 w, fet bfn, fet chemical( hcg only 6), switched re, ivf mc at 7 w, and ivf/fet was chemical!

Recur preg loss work up done--- all neg
Hsg test--neg

Plan-fresh cycle, pgd, foll at 125, no Lupron, menapur, lovenox, baby aspirin, oxygen at fert at 5% ( normally is 20 for re but 5 is a trial)! Re has no other ideas to try and nothing seen as a problem to date!

I have confidence with this re as I feel he has my health in his mind where previous re let me have severe ohss with a level of 12,000!
Me: 31 DH:44 vast/chemo
9/10-severe ohss then mc 6w
1/11-bfn
3/11-barely bfp then bfn
New re
7/11-mc 6w
1/12-chemical
7/12- we have a heartbeat!!!!!

Well, today's scan confirmed what we feared. 1 twin was lost. While we wish this didn't happen, we are focussing on the one healthy baby we saw moving around on the scan today and measuring 9 weeks 3 days. Thanks to all for the well wishes.

Hope - ****. I'm so sorry. I guess on the bright side, you can now put all of your energy into your one healthy baby. Your pregnancy should be lower risk and a lot easier too if it's any consolation. That being said, please allow yourself to mourn anyhow.

Leora- Sorry just noticed your post, about the A/C... My lining was too low they could of kept me on meds longer but unfortunately with no A/C they cant take the swimmers out...:( I was upset but now pasted that part since I cant do anything why get angry, if I had to pay for the cancelled cycle I would of fought about it but they arent billing it out and my meds are free since I already hit my deductable, so I cant really argue out for them to reimburse me for them... How are you doing, I wish I knew what to say I know you have been down I am praying that this cycle is the one for you and that the foster care comes through too then you will have 2 dreams and 2 children to start a family.. This journey is so tough, but what you have gone through is more unfair then anything... So sorry you have gone through what you have :( I am sending you a huge hug from Rhode Island... Glad your session went well and you got to talk it all out to release some of what you are feeling... xo

Christy- thinking of you xo

Hi everyone!

I can't believe I'm back at it again, I recognize some of you ladies from cycling last year. Don't know if anyone remembers me. Little background I had my 1st IVF in '09 BFN 2nd got my 1st DD. Did a FET year later after having my DD it was BFN. Did a 3rd round of IVF which gave me my 2nd DD. I have one frostie left a 5day blast best grade according to the Doctor he gives us a 50/50 chance but I think its more of a 25% chance. We are all self pay and can't afford to pay storage fee since its almost half of what it costs to do a transfer so we are going for it. Its bitter sweet because we know this is a last chance for us to have a baby but we are not complaning we know how fortunate we are to be blessed with 2 kids and if its going to be a family of 4 we are ok with that.
I'm going for a sonohystogram next week and will start lupron on D21 transfer should be around middle of July. I just wanted to pop in and say hi, I will be around probably not posting much until it gets closer. Wishing everyone tons and tons of babydust!

Wow I have so much reading to catch up with everyone, but I have been gone for nearly a week and my computer room was overtaken by tween girls spending the night together. Annabelle (my neighbor's daughter who's 10) with Hannah (my best friend's 8 yr old), and I'll post a couple of pictures for fun of our vacation together. It's funny how I don't take advantage of the beach all that much until I have out-of-towners. Even though we've resided here 4 years, most of my time has been invested in work so it was nice to have a few days off.

Hopethisworks- How are you holding up? Even though I haven't been posting here, I have been quietly reading while the girls slept. I love saying that even though they aren't my girls. Belles often tells me I'm like a mother to her, although deep down I know I would never replace her mother. My best friend over the weekend shared with me a little about her twin loss. Her doctor thought she would need to go through an emergency surgery to remove the twin but she was so afraid she would lose the other so she waited it out and nature took it's course. Her doctor even told her her daughter would have a chromosome abnormality however after going through 4 other miscarriages she knew she wanted to take the chance. As I mentioned her daughter is now 8 and other then asthma and experiences alot of nose bleeds she is doing better then anyone ever expected. I know it doesn't take away the pain on this loss, some days will be harder then others but you have to stay strong for this little one inside you who is strongly holding on. Don't be afraid to seek a therpist if you feel you need to. I know one girl who was in her early 40's who took it so hard that she had a fear of bonding with the twin. I will certainly keep you in my prayers.

Ninde- You are so caring and I'm grateful we have you to lean on, I know your client feels the same way. A miscarriage whether it's via IVF OR not is still a loss. I was so shocked the doctor told me 1 out of every 4 women experience a m/c, I honestly never knew it was so common. But at time it make us so much more cautious when we have already gone through one. I wish it didn't have to be this way, we are the ones who would give our own life up to be a mother and with that much desire alone we shouldn't be punished. It just isn't fair that we aren't allowed to enjoy a pregnancy because deep down we're always wondering and I firmly believe without a support group most of us would be afraid to take that next step. I still am hesitant, my brother (who got his son via IVF) encourages me telling me in the big picture 25,000 isn't really all that much money. I'm like are you telling me you've got that kind of money? I don't know expect I know how hard the job market is right now, yet dh doesn't wnat us to put this on hold anymore and go ahead and borrow the money. I think I just need to find closure and going through IVF only once is not enough to say we have closure. You cannot give up without giving your all.

Leora- Today we enjoyed the Queen Elizabeth Jumbilee downtown at the tearoom and the girls loved it. We sat around drank tea and admired the elder ladies who looked so cute in their fancy hats. The bagpipes played and everyhalf hour the clergy would make annoucement about Queen Elizabeth. So did you order the ruffled dress? Looking back I saw one today at the antique mall that was actually navy. Isn't it crazy how fashion from 1950 makes a comeback? I spoke to the manager at the antique mall about my 7 ft tall cabinet that takes up an entire bedroom lol I've been trying to sell for 2 yrs. So I got her contact information to email them a picture and measurements and then called them this afternoon to let them know it was sent. This just reminded me that we have our upcoming yardsale next weekend and I have many things to put into it going for the best cause, I cannot wait!

Kynlee- Congratulations on all the fundraising WOW $10,000 I know that alone must feel sooo rewarding! It reminds us that God brought us together to make a difference in someone else's life and that alone is comforting. In my dream last week, you texted me with good news it was related to IVF I wish I could tell you more but I believe something good is about to happen.

AlwaysAngel Welcome baaaack! I look forward to cycling with you, so many of us are overdue to bringing home our rainbow baby, but our faith and endurance is what going to make this possible!

MadameX- Good luck on getting the bureaucracy together on Thursday, yuck I've been procrasinating on our paperwork and even the loan. But we only have 3 weeks until everything starts so I better get my butt in gear sometime soon. Maybe I'll start the loan process on Thursday?

AFM: I kept the girls pretty entertained and even at times felt somewhat like a tourist myself. So here's everything we did! Last Wednesday visited a local State Park in St. Andrews' a great place to go snorkeling...The waves crashed upon the rocks at the jetties and it was kind of rough to get in that day but they found some great shells. :D Afterwards on a whelm we went to my favorite "hole in the wall" chinese restaurant.

On Thursday morning, I get a text message from Belle's mother threatening her daughter about her room being a disaster saying she now isn't allowed to join us for afternoon tea. Hannah gets upset and I call Sara telling her how Hannah now feels punished b/c Annabelle cannot come she had been looking forward to this day together for a whole month when we planned everything for them to come down. Plus her mom kept her home from school the day before so none of understood why she waited until the last minute? They finally got there 2 hours later as we were having our second round of tea. I was so glad one of my former coworker's Sylvia was able to join us because I had so much catching up to do with her that it a real treat and my girlfriend Bonnie really enjoyed meeting her. After 4 hours at the tearoom we went to the Antique Mall where I purchased my first piece of sterling silver: a two tiered serving dish for only $20. As we headed over to the beach at another section in town near the Cove with the Spanish Moss trees, Annabelle tells me she forgot to take off a bracelet she had tried on at the Antique Mall. She said she had gotten used to wearing it, but it had not been paid for! I turned my car around and I made her take it back. As I was driving back I was so afraid the store would be closed since it was passed 5:00. We knocked on the front door until someone finally let us in and I let her explain what happened aplogizing. My friend thought I should tell her mom, but I decided going back to the store and apologizing was enough. Next door we stopped to pick up dinner at Tom's Famous Hotdogs, and finally arrived to the Cove area where we had our picnic and the girls played and found scallops washed upon shore. However after we got home with a bucket full dh reminds me that it's not scallop season so the next day we release them back into the bay. lol I had a cooler full of scallops sitting between the girls on the floorboard, that could of been bad had we forgotten about them!

So it's now Friday morning and I'm starting to get the house ready for our party Saturday night. In the meantime, Annabelle invites us to attend her Award Program at school so we do that and it was so neat how they reward them with points in reading. She get's the A and B Honor Roll and a Math Award. Oh my but when I get back home my guest bathroom is flooded! The girls had been washing off shells and left the stopper up with the water slightly running. I thought well at least the floor is now really clean. Instead of yelling, we punish them by delaying our venture to the zoo and cleaning the house lol. We finally get to the zoo and while we're all watching the wolf show, Annabelle tells me she couldn't find her swimsuit this morning and I know it's so far out to go back home. So I take her to Marshells while Bonnie and Hannah stay, and at Marshells we purchase her one with a gift card- I had forgotten about. Oh course I want everyone at Chico's to meet Belles so I take her by there for a minute but this child was doing limbo under the jewerly display as she's holding my pyrex dish. I'm calmly tell her to stop and she does, thankfully she listens to me. So we swing back by to pick up Bonnie and Hannah at the zoo. At the beach, the girls are invited to help a Christian Retreat group from Birmingham, AL build sandcastles and they sing an acapella. Hannah's picture is taken with their group since she actually helped them build the sandcastle but that was a need meeting some people who Alabama who know some of my family.

On Saturday dh takes us to a natural springs campground and we bring Blackjack and Vegas who LOVE the water with us, it was so much fun. We got back to the house at 3:30 and the girls helped me prepare for the party. The girls dip strawberries in chocolate a place them on the new entertaining piece I got at the Antique shop. We had a big cookout, 18 guest came. I had 4 little girls to entertain in the craft room and decided to have a paint contest, each one had a 5x7 poster and the theme was to paint anything from the sea. Lily painted a drunkin' octopus, Molly painted a oyster with a pearl inside, Annabelle painted a fish blowing bubbles. Hannah painted a ship with a cross and the sand with seagulls in the sky. I was taken away as each one presented their painting.

On Sunday, I worked while the girls went to church and went back to the beach. Again Annabelle spent the night with Hannah but Sunday night at Belles house, they seemed inseparable lol. Yet kept calling her mom to bring her glasses and then we loose her glasses and spent half the night looking for them so much for my spa night. lol Monday morning, I met Annabelle's mom at nearby diner for breakfast and we told Annabelle that Hannah needed to have a girl's day out with her mother today, and I brought up if she cleaned her entire room today her reward would be to spend another night at my house. So I went to work and my friends did their own shopping, when I got home I couldn't believe what I heard that Ananbelle's room was spotless. I mean her mom had been fighting with her for months to get her room cleaned and when she walked into her daughter's room she had tears streaming down her face with pride. Annabelle's room was spotless! So the girls spent the last night together at my house and this morning lol Bonnie and I stayed until 1am talking but it was our last night together. Today I took them out for breakfast before the Queen Elizabeth event. Phew that was my week in a nutshell but it made me rethink kids. lol :D

MadameX - can't sympathazie because I've never taken it! I know Amanda did a mix of donor/hers, but they don't care nor want to know. I asked my clinic if we could do donor sperm IUIs and mix donor and my husbands but was told absolutely not.

Nicole - I'm so impressed that you've lost so much weight. In the end, with the dress, I'm probably going to buy a slightly different one from lightinthebox.com- which will do custom tailoring (ie, make the dress to my measurements). I took my measurements - GULP! Sheesh. I"ve really gained weight!

oh Kynlee - feel better!

Patricia - what kind of exams do you have to mark? I'm so sorry to hear about your client miscarrying again. That sucks. Sucks even more when it's IVF + miscarriage!

Cyn - that was pretty funny! How are you enjoying your bed rest? Do anything fun? I"ll be on bed rest for most of my next pregnancy, so let me know if you come up with any good ideas! Just a few more days until your beta!

Lori - welcome back! Are they changing your protocol? Is this a new RE? If it's the same RE and protocol, weird that he wants a month of BCP first. But if it's anew protocol or RE, sounds totally normal. I've also been through hell with this stuff - you'd think that after IVF, we would "deserve" to have healthy babies, not losses. I hope this time is the charm for both of us!

HopeThisWorksM - I'm so sorry. Big hugs.

Lauren - how are you? Next u/s tomorrow, right?

Christy - I'm glad you had a good week "away" from us :D That Jubilee celebration sounds so fun!

Dys - welcome! I've never cycled with you yet :D

AFM -

I'm thinking of a different dress - Image A little less "fancy", but I think I'll be more comfortable more covered up. Also, my experience is this style (with the draping and rouching) will look good on me. I can also custom tailor this dress to my measurements - it'll be about $200 including int'l shipping. I"ll be getting it in dark purple (as I'm in the wedding party!)

Also - I'm trying to decide if I should go for SnS tomorrow (even though I can't start stims until Sunday -- but my RE wants me to do SNS on Sunday) because if things are NOT okay - then I get the 3 days of the weeekend to start the Provera - but I think it's not a good idea. I'll try to hold out until Sunday!

Also - not sure who here remembers Rosie -- she had boy/girl twins that she lost at 19 weeks to pPROM (the same way I lost my first twins). She lives here in Jerusalem, but we met online here - but are 'real life' friends now. She did a fresh cycle (SET) and just got a BFP. I'm so happy for her -- but soooooo soooooooooo soooooooo jealous.....
