Kay- I am doing the A/F dance for you... Sometimes the meds delay her, im sure she is right around the corner...

Julia- Congrats on your new home, How exciting to decoratethe nursery :)

Leora- Great Fertility report, Your bfp is right around the corner :)

Madamex- Good luck tomorrow on U/S , my lining isnt thick enough so i am still delayed...

Ninde- Wasnt sure how to take your last post, are you adopting? Wasnt sure if I missed a post, if so good luck :) I will definitely being looking into that once i have a baby or if this doesnt work it will be sooner :)

Sunshine- So sorry about your gram I know how hard it is too lose someone you love... xo

Sonya- any beta results? Thinking of you

AFM- Had u/s lining is still too think its only around 6 and 6.5 so this delays me so nervous that this isnt going to work if I push the date out since A/F will be here in approx 14 days again... :( Please give me hope if you know anything about delays with FET... I was suppose to get transfer fri but instead they are having me come in for another u/s Fri and if it looks thick enough then I will have transfer the following tues the 2nd... that will be 23 days past a/f does this make sense? The meds (estrace should help me from not getting my period right? I am going to call the nurse tomorrow to get reassurance I am sure its fine but I just get myself worked up... I usually get A/F every 30 days since doing IVF... I am just afriad since its so close to A/F arrival that my body isnt going to hold the embies... PLEASE anyone that has had a delay let me know what you think...

Hello there ladies

Christy: im so so sorry, I know your heart is breaking for your grandmother. I will light my candle for your family, you and your grandmother and I'll ask arch angel azrael to be with you all x

Leora: you have been through a lot - no wo der you are feeling a bit numb. Everything crossed for as many as possible for you. Any idea why this time was so much better?

Kala: enjoy your picnic - that's lovely :D

Sonya: are you ok?

Waiting kay: Adoption in ireland can and usually does take 7 years. There are no irish babies for adoption so this will be inter country. Because of that time span I refuse to close the door on ivf - if adoption was in any way quick here I would but it isnt, its a bureaucratic nightmare. We cant and wont tell the adoption people we are doing it and i have no crisis of conscience over this because they make it so difficult. We did our preparation course over a year ago and we havnt even had any of the 6 social worker visits. Its appalling. In terms of talking to dh about it, he is adopted himself and is extremely open to adoption and always has been so im sorry, that isnt too much help to you. If its ok to ask, why is your dh so against it? Im really sorry af is being really awkward. I'll start doing the af dance for you x

Maria: how are you doing? I've reactivated skype!!

Kynlee: I hope the post to waiting kay answers your question? I really wish it was easier to adopt. How long would it take with you?

Afm: well I did the day on soul loss. There were 4 other ladies and the main therapist. It was a lovely and also heart breaking day. To hear from four other women whose stories were different was incredible. Some were ivf and some not and i was glad of the mix, I find it can get a bit insular on this process. Some were early losses, some later and one was 10 days overdue and delivered at full term. I fell asleep during the visualization which is typical of me but actually hearing about it i dont think it was for me. I was able to name my daughter though, I had a dream before my due date that the baby was a girl. I've called her Ava Grace and I was able to write to her. This was important for me and I think will help me face those scary feeling christy mentioned about the next cycle. It was a privilege to be with four wonderful women and I will carry their support with me

Christy- I am sorry to hear about your grandmother. You are in my thoughts. I lost both my grandmothers; they were special in their own ways, one was like a mother to me as well. I lived with her for about 6 years. It is hard to get through but you will.

Kynlee – I am having a CD 23 transfer too. Right now I am on CD 10. What is your protocol? I am on lupron for like 3 weeks now and just bumped up my Estrace today to 6 mg, 3 in the am and 3 in the pm. Are you on lupron too? I think that doesn’t let us ovulate, I don’t know about getting A/F though. Let me know if you find out. I will continue lupron and estrace this week and until the progesterone starts which isn’t until at least (I am assuming) next week.

Leora- Can’t wait to hear how your embies are doing tomorrow!

Ninde- Your session sounded deep. That is great to be part of a support group like that and face your feelings together and individually at the same time.

Kayla – How was your picnic? How are you feeling?

Waitingkay – I get all-emotional on my DH too, sometimes I even look back and think what the hell is wrong with me? LOL oh I know….. ivf meds??? My period is never here when I need it to be either and then there it is when I don’t want it. I think that is just how is goes with all this IVF stuff!

AFM- I have an app with the RE in the am, then off to the Phillies game, then driving up to the beach. It is going to be a long day. But I will wake up Tuesday morning (my birthday) at the beach. Our donor has an app tomorrow too so I should find out how she is responding to the stims. It is so weird writing that!

Ninde- I wish we could do both Ivf and adopt at same time I would but they are strick here and I would be afraid of getting caught and then getting more stressed so I figured I would do that after I go through ivf treatments.. i talked to a few agency and they all made it clear I cant be doing treatments while in the adoption process... I could probably do foster care while waiting but I dont think that would be for me cause i would give all my Love and would be to afraid the parents would come back and I would have the child taken from me, I couldnt take that loss...Best of Luck with both roads :)

Madamex- TY for giving me comfort about my cycle (cd23) My mind is flip floping like what if my period pushes through right after the transfer cause my body doesnt know what is going on, but I have to keep in mind the Dr knows better then me, right? lol As for my cycle type I am on 2 mg estrace 2 times a day and I just switched yesterday to 2mg estrace 3 times a day NO lupron for this protocol.

Sunshine I am so so so terribly sorry about your grandma  I am very close to mine and can't imagine what you are going through....I am praying that God will give you peace

Kynlee I think you should be ok. With this pregnancy I only ovulated on day 21 (which is very late for me...usually its day 16-18 for me) and my baby still implanted so I think you should be ok....sending you lots of baby dust

Christy - oh, I'm so sorry. I have no words, but to say that she's probably in a better place if things were as your family says.

Madame - YAY! Let us know how it goes and HAPPY EARLY BDAY!

Patricia - WOW. What a journey that must have been. I'm so happy you're getting some peace.

Kym - I would trust your RE. They take entire control over your cycle, so it's not as clear cut as a 30 day cycle. Mine was all over the place. I was super confused, but it worked!

Leora - That fert report is awesome! I did do PGD, but the lab's threshold is 90% and they recommend doing a CVS. We're going to the appt, but I don't know that we'll go through with it. I think it depends on if the doctor says it's easy (with the way they're positioned, etc..) As far as transferring 1 instead of 2, I don't think 2 gives you a better chance. I kinda looked at it as "doubling down," so I wouldn't worry about a BFN. You'll get a BFP and healthy adorable baby. Let us know how Day 3 results look!

AFM - Super effing sick. Vomiting and my head feels like it's in a vice. I don't want to complain because I'll take this over not having children, but omg. No one's ever died of morning sickness, right?

I'm so sorry, Christy. Hugs.

Leora, I'm glad you are only going to transfer one. Twins would not be good!

Patricia, I'm well. I was able to run a bit today. We did two laps around the lake. We ran about 1.5 of the 6 miles. My back is healing. Now, if this headache would go away.... Do you guys have trouble adopting due to dh having MS?

AFM, doing well. Scheduled with RE for July 12. Can't tell if I'm excited or not. I want to do it but am scared.

Hi Everyone! :D

Image

Sorry for being MIA girls...Thing is, I have nothing IVF to report, I am on pause. And this pause is taking FOREVER! Everyone else is moving on and it doesn’t feel good when everyone is on the rollercoaster and you are just an observer. If there’s a rollercoaster I want to ride it! ...ok, maybe not the IVF rollercoaster but since this is the one I have in front of me now then I want to be on it and not just watch everyone one it! So for the meantime my life’s domino effect is pretty much the same...no job :( =no IVF :( =no baby chance :( ...SO FAR! Because I feel that IVF #8 is going to be the ‘bring home baby’ one! :D Next month is going to be a year since our last failed IVF and I don’t know, I have this feeling that my body is really off the meds and everything and rested to welcome a new cycle. Maybe resting my body...and mind! ...will do the trick. For 2 years we have been doing IVF’s nonstop and Call me crazy but I like to dream! It has been so long that maybe I can trick my body that this is the 1st IVF and not the 8th and maybe, just maybe, will do me the favour and keep our embies inside me this time and let them stick and grow! Maybe! :D

We called this the year of fun and even though we didn’t knew it would take us this long to try again...and still going...this ‘hands off IVF’ time has brought me and DH closer than ever :D We have a dinner date every Friday night, we meet for lunch during the week or coffee, we cook together just the two of us at home almost every night and we laugh a lot and we make plans at the house and sunbathe together and flirt each other and have I mentioned how much we laugh, laugh, laugh! After 2yrs of getting 7 BFN's non stop laughing now seem surreal! And that is the most positive thing in this pause from IVF. We are in our best place ever and it feels great! We are founding our selves from the start. DH is more relaxed and he is open to talk and listen whenever we talk baby stuff e.g IVF, gender etc. It ‘almost’ feels like we are planning our family for the first time...and not the one million one!

NEWS: I forgot! BETWEEN US, I had a proposal from a famous Cooking Magazine here in Cyprus, to cook a 3 course meal for 4-5 friends of mine and get photographed in this gathering at my house and share my recipes! :D All those gatherings and dinners I’ve made at my house all these years are paying off now for my 15min of fame! I never thought my cooking is so famous that will make me famous! Ok, not realy famous, but for a magazine edition famous  The photo shouting is going to take place either this Friday or next Monday in my garden. I have to thing which friends to invite and this is a tough one because I don’t want to let anyone down. I can’t invite ALL my friends! My BF with her DH is definitely coming so I have to think of another one couple hmm... I will post pictures from the magazine when it is published middle of July. This is a monthly issue magazine. I am excited and I can’t decide on the menu! I have so many ideas that I can’t decide which!

Leora – I have EVERYTHING crossed for you girl! :D I know you want to transfer 2 but based on your history a SET is more rational. GOOD LUCK! I am praying for you!

Ninde- I am glad that you’ve gained something from the meeting with those women at soul loss and I hope you find peace and look more positive your next attempt. About adoption, same as Ireland we don’t have children for adoption in Cyprus either. From what I’ve heard adoption here is free. I haven’t looked into it and hopefully I won’t have to at least not ‘force to’. I mean I would like to believe that IVF will do the miracle for us and give us a baby and when they tell us that IVF is not an option anymore for us, then, I would be more open for adoption. I leave it as a last resort. We are not there yet. We have always talked about adopting a baby and bring it to our family and love it as our own but we always said that after we are having our own biological child. Even though who knows, in the future we might use a donor egg or sperm or both. I am open to all of these. These kind of transfers I still call them ‘biological babies’ our own. 8) Some things are easier to accept from someone and some other not. At the end of the day one needs to think ‘do I want a baby or I want a baby to pass on my genes?’ This is what I always tell my DH. A baby is a baby and its going to be our baby no matter what way that baby comes into our lives!

Christy- Oh honey I am so sorry about your grandmother :( I have lost both grandmothers and grandfathers and I always remember them with love and will always have a special place in my heart. The last one that died was my mother’s mother and she died at the age of 96. She had clarity of mind till the last minute she died. It would have killed me, for her to see me and not understand who I am So maybe it is better that you weren’t there to remember her only in good way. ((HUGS)) ...on another note, I am excited for you starting your IVF! Next month is going to be a baby month in our board and I can’t wait for you to announce your pregnancy! GOOD LUCK! :D

Lauren- hahaha, no girl! No one died from morning sickness! You are right where you should be! Throwing up and feeling nausea! Isn’t it that great! It goes with the package! And your package is x2! I I have read about the CVS test and personally, if the doctor says I should, I should definitely do it. Keep up the good work with for your little gummy bears. Time fly so quickly! I can't believe you are over 10 weeks! I am SO happy for you! Xoxox

Sonya- I am thinking of you ((hugs))

MadamX- Happy early Birthday!! :D Being at the beach for your birthday sounds amazing! Enjoy! So your Birthday is tomorrow?! Tomorrow, 26th June is my DH's Birthday and we are going out with our families for dinner.

Blue- Being scared and excited about your new cycle is absolutely normal but when that day comes you will be FINE! Don't worry! I send you baby dust! Good luck! :D

Annashope- 14 weeks already! That is awesome! :D Your miracle baby is growing beautifully!

Kynlee- Everything will be ok girl! Try not to stress and listen to your doctor he knows what he is doing  I send you baby dust!!

Julia- Congratulations on the new home!! And for TEAM BLUE!! How exciting! :D And decorating the nursery sounds like my dream come true! Call me crazy, but do you know how many times I thought of decorating mine! Of course I would never do it unless we had a baby on the way but still, I was tempted! Show pictures when you finish!

Wehavehope- Maria you are 28 weeks already! How exciting! :D How are you feeling? I’ve read about the baby showers you had and getting so many things for your little ones. How wonderful! :D We don’t do Baby Showers in Cyprus but everyone brings lots of gifts when they come to visit after the baby is born. I can’t wait for that day to come!

I know I am leaving people behind but I have to go run some errants! I Love you all and I am thinking of you everyday even if I don’t post often!

Baby dust and sticky vibes to us all!! :D

I'm confused...

I spoke to my RE and he wants to do transfer tomorrow (day 4) instead of Wednesday. He said that most of the embryos are still growing (he didn't remember the exact number) but they weren't the best quality so he didn't want to take the risk of having nothing to transfer on day 5. He said we will let the rest grow and freeze on day 5 or 6 (depending on when they become blasts). He said we could wait to transfer until Wednesday, but he and the embryologist suggest tomorrow.

So I go tomorrow for my ET at 8am.

I'm a little disappointed and confused...
8 IVF+6 FET=6 BFN+8 BFP =

-b/g twins 22w (12.09)
-mc 10w (9.10)
-Micha (7.19-24.11) & Asaf (7.19-28.11) born at 24w
-mc 5wk (2.12)
-no HB at 18w (10.12)
-BO (4.13)-
-mc 6wk (9.13)

last attempt - donor sperm - baby girl born healthy July 2014

Leora- Honey don't get disappointed :( I know you were hoping for a 5dt but we have heard SO many success stories with 2dt, 3dt, 4dt, 5dt and even 6dt's so anything is possible and with your history of successful implantations/pregnancies I say a 4dt is going to be a winning one! :D So your RE and embryologist think this is the best thing to do then I would trust them. You know what they say about the uterus being the best incubator (than the pedri dish) so I guess the sooner you transfer them the better. And if the 4dt is what they suggest then a 4dt it is. I am feeling positive for you my friend! xoxo

Let's focus on tomorrow's transfer and bring that healthy baby home to mommy! :D ((hugs))

Leorira - 8 fert is GREAT! Keep your head up as a 4 day transfer is not a bad thing (I just did a two ady transfer!) Hoping for a GREAT transfer and a BFP for you!!!
Also Leorira, I am not taking Lupron still, it is Lovenox (40mg once a day). Got my med names confused for a second :)

Sunshine- Very sorry about your grandmother. My sincerest condolences.

Julia - COngrats on Team BLUE! :)

I know I missed a lot of you but Ill try post more personals tonight.

My Update...
Another US scheduled for today at 4. I should be 13 weeks, 4 days today (strange because last week my EDD was Jan 2 and it said I was 12 wks 5 days on the US but the ticker says different :) ). Yesterday I stopped taking prednisone. Glad to cut off medications. I am down now to just 40mg of Lovenox once a day and of course my PIO and suppository. Wish me luck today girls, praying everything continues on course and smooth!

Hopethisworks- Good luck today I am sure everything will be perfect :)

Annashope- TY for making me feel at ease with the Cycle dates, What CD did you transfer on?

Leora- Good luck girl tomorrow you will be PUPO :) 4 day is awesome dont think to much into the 5 day everything will be fine :)

Lauren- TY for making me feel better with the CD, my mind is all over the place with this FET I just want it to go perfect so I get my dream :) Sorry you are having such bad morning sickness and headaches they should go away soon then you can enjoy the rest of your pregnancy :)

Anton- Always love reading your post... So happy that you and DH have got even closer through this process maybe the break is just what you needed before you start back up on this rollercoaster ride... So cute that you two do so much things together, My DH would never lay out he hates the heat cause he is in it all day so that is me and my BFF thing together which I dont mind :) Once we have kids maybe DH will want to come to hang at the beach :) How exciting that you got picked for a cooking magazine , I love to cook too.. Cant wait to hear your Menu and see your pictures :) Good luck with picking another couple to join you with that... :)

AFM- Just talked to one of the Nurses, She said my lining was actually 6.1 yesterday so they are looking at a July 4th transfer(CD24) she made me feel much more relaxed letting me know they control the cycle so its not a typical 30 day cycle. SO I am more hopeful... Horrible day here today, it is downpouring and thunderstorms... :( DH goes to Ny for the week so it will just be me and Bella all week :(

Thank you ladies for your thoughts and prayers. You have become a big piece of my life and I am grateful for your support!
Funeral arrangements should be sometime Tuesday afternoon and I'm really truly not to go out and shop. When I lost my grandfather I went out and bought 3 new pairs of shoes, imagine that? Anyway dh is picking me up around 2 today to make the drive back up to Alabama this evening. Everyone at work has been so sweet and accomodating that I need to bake a cake for them. I don't do well with just sitting and moping around, last night I changed out the front door lock. At the same time I feel like a freight train, my nerves are shot. It's going to be a tough week but have to try to hang in there and stay busy. Again thank you for just being there during this tough time.

Sunshine-my thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and your loved ones. Please let me know if you need anything.

Leora-please try not to be disappointed. A 4 day transfer is great. I agree with the other ladies on the board, in that your body is the best incubator. Stay positive. I will be praying for a smooth ET and for your embie to stick for the next 9 months.

AFM-not feeling well today. I was driving the kids to summer camp and became very short of breat, had severe palpitations, and became very light headed. I felt so bad that there was no way for me to make it to work. I've also been having a lot of Braxton Hicks Contractions. I spoke to the nurse, we think it may be my Anemia acting up again. Waiting for the doctor to call.
