Christie: I dont mind taking the work home as such, I can do that without it overwhelming me and i often have to figure out what im feeling so i can try to understand my client. What i cant do is stay mired in her world as then im useless to her. Also if i get a positive then i dont want to have to deal with her misery because its way too negative and i will have to stand away from her. I see her every two weeks. Oh that sounds like a nightmare in your obgyn's!!! You were very restrained! I wonder what's going on. Do try and make the appointment because you need to make sure everything is ok.

Nicole: its rising and it was a good one to start with which is great. Now take it easy!!

Ninde~ I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Where was her aneurysm? It is no fun to lose a mom. I'm sure your mom held on until your birthday. Being an ICU nurse, I see crazy stuff like that all of the time. How are you feeling?

Annahope~ We have a minivan too. And I am the first one that used to say I would NEVER drive one. I love it and it was seriously half of the price of some of the SUV's that we were looking at. And yes fully loaded.

Sunshine~ UTI's are the worst. I hope you are feeling better.

Nicole~ I am totally jealous of your run. I got the NO GO on running since my ovaries are still quite large. He said I could do yoga but for an attention deficit exercise person, I don't do well with yoga. I like that feeling of "i may die any minute" while running. Crazy I know but you sound a little crazy too (in a good way). Congrats on 2nd beta.

AFM~ 3 beautiful embryos were transferred today. One was a blastocyst and the other two were "expanding" and good quality. They also shot my uterus w HCG before the transfer and said they are having good luck with it. I will get a call tomorrow telling me if I have anything to freeze. I really hope. Now I'm off to see a movie and counting every minute in the painful 2WW.

Jayne- I will be counting down with you girly! Three good embryos sounds promising, I cannot wait to celebrate this moment with you!

Nicole- I wish you the best on Monday, I will be praying for you as well!

AFM: My middle brother called me tonight who said he doesn't want me to be mad at our mom...I said I was mad b/c this stuff is not her business but he feels in some way it is because she cares and although she can be aggravating she wants to be there. He went on and told me the entire story that they had tried for a sibbling for their son last Spring. I didn't give my Mom a chance to tell me they had defrosted the embies! Yet come to find out tonight both frosties were defrosted yet neither one of them took. I feel horrible because the other night my SIL instant messaged me on facebook and we were talking about IVF stuff and I asked her could we possibly be getting pregnant in the Fall together? She commented we are happy with what we've got. My brother said tonight that they didn't want to me to loose hope but then found out that I was upset at our mom, so he called thinking mom had already told me. My mom didn't explain it well to me, I was too defensive to listen to her that night. But I feel horrible that it didn't work with their one and only FET cycle. He said they aren't going to dwell on it, that sometimes we have to take the risk but will never know if we don't ever give it our all.

My brother gave me great advice on taking better care of myself. #1 Need to let go of outside stress factors, things I have absolute control over such as the coworker, these things if we let them-will eat us alive! I know he's right and I know there is alot of emotional distress to work out but it's up to me to work on finding peace within. #2 Eat more balanced meals...Here lately I had been snacking but honestly not getting in healthy foods, I take prenatals but he's concerned about my weight and it can make or break a pregnancy. The best advice that trumpt everything he said was work on having a close personal relationship with God and staying beside my man. He knows we are in uncertainty with dh's job but the less the stress the better and we just need to know it's all going to work out. Someone once told me it's all in His timing, we have to remain patient. My brother couldn't of reached out to me at a better time then tonight, as far as my mom I called her back tonight and we straightened everything out. She's so funny told me she went into Talbot's today and bought me a flowy shirt that is loose at the bottom so I can have it for later on...

Sunshine- I hope you feel better soon! That sucks. I totally understand. When my IC flares up it can feel like razor blades are in my bladder and urethra. Definitely get everything checked out! It sounds like you have a great brother. I'm sorry it didn't work for them. We all know the heartbreak.

Ninde- You are in a tough situation with your client. I can empathize a bit because of my work with adults as a speech therapist. I really struggled with working with MS patients. Most of the time I would share my own diagnosis with them, but not always. It got so hard to deal with their struggles knowing the possibilities facing me. I imagine it would be even harder with your situation. How are you feeling?

Jayne- It has been so hard not to run. My husband has been supportive of exercise but worries about running. I probably looked like a granny out there because I took it easy. It did feel good and I will try to do more this week. I won't push it but I don't want to be lazy either. I definitely understand the risk with enlarged ovaries, not to mention how uncomfortable it would be. My clinic had me on a non-strenous plan for the 2ww. My dr has always been supportive of running, saying even 20-25 miles per week is fine. That's what I was doing before so if I get back up to that then it's fine as long as my body says it is ok. Congrats on being PUPO. I've never heard of shooting hcg into the uterus with transfer. Interesting! I hope that is the kicker for you.

AFM- I'm pretty nervous for my 3rd beta tomorrow. I know plenty of women who have had slower beta rises and know that many normal pregnancies have betas like mine. I can't help but be nervous. I'm still doing much better than any of my previous chemicals so I don't think it is that. I think it's just a fluke. My first chemical beta go no higher than 48. The second was with my last FET and my first beta was 9. My other pg had normal betas and rises but were empty sacs. I am trying so hard to stay positive that this one is going to be fine! I still feel my symptoms (cramps, nausea, dizzy, blacking out when standing up, etc). Keep the fingers crossed! I will update as soon as I know. I'm going to try to stay busy tomorrow. I have to take my dog to the vet for her eye checkup and then I will either take a nap or go get my nails done while I wait.

Morning ladies

Jayne: Oh thats wonderful that you have such lovely embies - congratulations :) Interesting in terms of the hcg - your clinic sounds very progressive which is fabulous. How are you feeling?

Christy: Your brother sounds like a very kind man. I'm glad he was able to give you some more information and then you were able to sort things out with your Mum. Its such a hard journey isn't it? From memory, you are on the light side weight-wise arn't you because of your thyroid? Have you someone who could help you with that?

Nicole: I'm feeling ok. Vertigo is definately better today which is great. But I have a low level headache and I'm quite crampy. I'm really hoping that its just the progesterone and not af. Remember last cyle af arrived 6 days before I was due to test. I think thats my greatest worry at the moment. Back saying the serenity prayer :) I can understand how you are feeling, you are quite incredible, when I read your last post it reminded me of your losses up to this and how tough things have been yet you never really talk about it. You stay focused and go forward - you have the strength of a warrior (who runs!) and I really admire you for it.

Afm: Off work until Thursday so managed to finish quite a bit of work on Plato, Aristotle and Freud Sat and yesterday for a class on the origins of psychotherapy. Now to just unravel Jung and find some interesting stuff on Carl Rogers and I can move on to the next class :) I'm definately quite crampy in the mornings and this headache is there. As I said above to Nicole, my big worry is not making it to test given what happened last time. However, I'm trying to keep positive and go gently.

Quick question ladies. This headache isnt a migraine but its a 5/10 on the headache pain scale I reckon. Is paracetemol ok in the 2 ww? I had transfer last wed and it was a 2 day so I think implantation should be starting now all being well. Could the paracetemol cause a problem?

So happy we're able to keep this board going, I was afraid everyone jumped off the boat. Speaking of boats we need one around here with all the rain...Tropical Issac is underway. According to the U.S. National Hurricane Center the storm lashed the Florida Keys and Miami area with wind and rain before moving into the warm Gulf waters, where it is expected to strengthen to a Category 2 hurricane and hit the Gulf Coast somewhere between Florida and Louisiana by midweek, roughly a 300-mile stretch of the Gulf Coast in four states from Louisiana to the Florida Panhandle.

Maria I have never experienced a tropical storm before since we moved down here in 2008. My store on the beach-side is certainly getting prepared with sandbags and taking the awning down. We have emergency procedures in place. As for my home we live out in the sandhills 35-40 miles away we have no flood zones here. We just need to make sure we have flashlights, plenty of groceries and water stuff like that. The good thing about hurricanes is you have days to prepare but the hard thing is tornadoes can come out of nowhere. Our area is flat with no hills or altitude but all we can do is pray. Maria I'm praying for your safety as well. Does anyone else reside around the Gulf Coast area?

Ninde- Stay POSITIVE and you will make it girl, I hope your headache goes away...I wish I knew more about the meds is your doctor available to call? I forget the time zone difference. As for my weight, Yes I am on the light-side, taken after my dad's side of the family with small bones and such. My mom still thinks my thyroid needs to be looked at and is sending me some contact information for a thyroid specialist in Cannon, Ga. I have the most trouble gaining weight which they say can affect fertility, but my RE doesn't believe it should matter since my menstrual cycle is regular. How knows but I could stand to put on a little weight, dang thyroid.

Nicole- Thanks my brother seems to be rocksolid and holding strong for his sweetheart. I love them both endurely and only want the best, who knows that might get back on the IVF bus when they are ready OR could even adopt.
Anything is possible and we have to keep our minds focused on that and realize we are truly blessed to make it this far.

Kynlee- Thanks I'm trying to decide if it would be worth reapplying for the IVF loan now or wait to see if we get the mortgage approved AND then apply...Currently we have our mortgage at 6.25 so I know we could save money in the long run. We just paid off his truck last week thinking it won't affect our credit until 30 days later? It couldn't hurt to reapply for the IVF loan once the truck payment is written off.

AFM: Today is our 13th anniversary so I'm heading out to run errands. Much Love- Christy

Kynlee - Hi! I am not sure about your ticker, I think if I remember right, you should go to the site you made it on and try to shake it there - then see if it changed here too and if not put it all over again.

Ninde - I hope your vertigo is better, headaches are a good sign (I had them too), or just the progesterone playing with you - either way better ask your Dr what you can take. I hope your search of philosophers is going okay, I know a bit about Freud and Jung but nothing whatsoever about the classic philosophers. I got interested once in Wittgenstein but was totally repulsed after reading about his racist views. Our dates always match - you started stimming when we had our first U/S. You had your transfer when we had our second U/S, and you'll have your beta when we go for our third U/S! Are you going to POAS? I don't like the sticks.

Jayne - Congrats on being PUPO!!! Your fert report is fantastic, we had something similar and started with 19 eggs so yours is very promising. Especially since your body knows how to get pregnant and stay pregnant.
If you don't mind me asking, you said and I saw on your sig. earlier that you too went through a late loss. You wrote you could think about having twins (of course triplets would be impossible also for me). I'm not sure the reason for my PTL though most doctors think it was the APS because it started with bleeding and contractions and lasted more than a week until I started to dilate so it doesn't seem like IC. I'm afraid of myself because I know that I'll be even more nervous if our high risk (MFM) says to us it will be okay to TRY and keep them both and just being nervous during those horrible weeks after 19 weeks is going to be even harder than with a singleton - I'm just afraid to stress myself so much that this will cause the damage itself. All this talking and I don't know anything at all if both will be fine until my next U/S in 10 days. The very little one was 6 days behind...
I am so happy for you that you had your son after your tragic experience.

Christy - Your brother sounds like an amazing guy. It's wonderful that you have him and that you sorted things out with your mom too. I'm also happy for you that you love both your bother and your SIL. I always have little issues with my SIL and many times we bring out the worst in each other.

Nicole - your second beta sounds great! My numbers didn't double either, I'm sure your third beta will be great too. 90 is not a first beta during a chemical pregnancy in my experience - so if we are both saying the same and we have quite and experience with chemical, this sounds good!

AFM - Today was the first time I was sick for real during pregnancy. It never got bad at all in my first pregnancy, and even if it sounds crazy I dare say I like it better now because it somehow makes me think they are okay in there. If both are still there. Still a long time until September 5 which is our next U/S.

Kay
Me - 35 (found about APS after PTL)
DH - 34 (0% morph)
10/10 # 1 IVF (ICSI) - chemical
12/10 # 1 FET - chemical
02/11 # 2 IVF (IMSI/ICSI) - BFP - PTL at 22 weeks 5 days
11/11 # 2 FET - BFP - no HB, D&C

Christy- I think once your Truck is paid off within 30 days it should show on your credit app for your re-fi, I think you will save alot if you are at 6.25 cause I was at 5 before the 3.75 and I saves alot... Stay safe with the hurricane coming and Happy Anniversary to you and Michael :)

Kay- I know I wished I had the morning sickness for reassurance :) YOur little beans will catch up to each other, they schedule your U/S a month apart? Did you switch to a OB yet? I did that twice already for my ticker, I think I may just recreate a new one

Sunshine~ your brother sounds great. Good for him to have the ability to reach out. I'm glad you have him in your life. Happy Anniversary and try to not float away.

Nicole~ when I was pregnant with my son, I ran until I was 5 months pregnant. I could tell when it was time to stop. When I lost my girl, I was a little overweight and not exercising at all. I personally think exercise is a super healthy thing for pregnancy. That's why I did my best to exercise a lot before I started this cycle. Unfortunately, my damn ovaries just get so big when I stimulate so it worries my doctor a little (he's pro-exercise too). Any symptoms? I will be looking for your beta.

Ninde~ This 2ww stuff is awful. We worry if we have symptoms and we worry if we don't. The whole thing is no fun. Last night when we were watching a movie, I was leaking some of the fluid out (which they told me would happen) but I was still convinced I was bleeding to death and the embryos were gushing down my leg. When I went to the bathroom and saw nothing, I knew right then and there it was going to be an extremely LONG wait until my beta on Sept 6. I'm not sure what the medicine is for your headache. My clinic told me that sushi was fine and even a glass or two of wine is OK until the pregnancy test and most meds because there is not an exchange with the embryos yet. Maybe call your clinic? Sorry for the headache.

Kynlee~ hope the headache is feeling better. Sun is definitely a trigger.

Waitingkay~ I'm not 100% why I lost the first baby but they think it was PTL. I never had her genetically tested. When I was pregnant with my son, they put me on progesterone shots (i think once a week) at about 18 weeks to prevent contractions. I'm not sure if it helped or not but he was in no hurry to get out of there. I carried him 38 weeks and had to be induced because I had preeclampsia. I think I gained too much weight with him at the end. My gallons of strawberry milk caught up with me when I stopped exercising. This time, my doctor only gave me a 2-3% chance of triplets and 20% chance of twins. And even then, he said by 12-13 weeks, there is a good chance one of them may spontaneously abort. It made me feel a little better about putting in 3. He would never put in 3 if it was my first try. And yay for the nausea (in a weird way).

AFM~ I have one embryo to freeze. I was hoping for at least two but I will take one. I like having a little reassurance of having one embryo that I can turn to. No symptoms. Just tired because the steroids are giving me insomnia.

Jayne – Congrats on being PUPO!!! Your embies sound beautiful! I never used the HCG but I know other girls on here who have. I guess it is suppose to trick your body into thinking you are already pregnant and it may increase implantation rates making your uterus a prime environment. Congrats on your frosty as well!

Nicole – Can’t wait to see your beta #

Kylee – Sorry about the migraines, they do totally suck!

Sunshine – Happy anniversary!! Wow 13 years that is so great! Glad you worked everything out with your mom. Your brother sounds like a real good guy. Please stay safe in the nasty weather!

Kay – How far along are you now? I started with feeling sick around 6 weeks. I know what you mean about feeling everything is okay in there when we get nausea and preggo symptoms.

LauraN – How are you doing? I am patiently waiting on your BFP!!!

Ninde I was told only to take regular Tylenol. But I do not know what paracetemol is? Is your dizziness better?

AFM-Just got back form the OB. It went well! They just went over my history and all that, then did a little check up and swabbed for infection. Then I got an u/s one on the belly and one trans vaginal. It was so great! We could see the baby moving and he/she was on their head, like almost fully upside down. We could see the heart ticking away…. It was great! Now I do not get another until 20 weeks!!!!!! 10 weeks without seeing my baby L I have another app at the end of September, they will use they doppler so at least I will be able to hear the heartbeat! I actually knew the u/s woman, she spent probably over a half hour with us. I asked her if it was okay to share the news and she said that people like to wait until 12 weeks because then baby has fully implanted. But she said looking at me everything looks perfect and that this baby is here to stay! She used a lot of big words but it didn’t look like I had any risks. I just hope she follows HIPPA, we are rather private about IVF.

My spa weekend was nice too! I got a sugar scrub and a prenatal massage. The massage was great!!! It felt so nice on my back and shoulders and lower back, especially after all the PIO shots. It was rather pricey, definitely not something I could do except for a special occasion. But the hotel was beautiful and there was bite size chocolate everywhere; we walked through the gardens and had a great dinner! The girls were dinking and enjoying themselves. I ordered myself a bottle of bubbly grape juice. You should have seen the chocolate martinis though!!

Madame - now i'm even more jealous than beforewow a spa weekend...so very few of my friends know I'm pregnant (I'm afraid to even just say it to myself let alone write it down) that I see more often those who know, naturally. I'm 9 weeks today, my symptoms are on and off - generally speaking I have very few but you understand exactly, these hunger attacks in the middle of the night and today's nausea - bring it on!!!

Kynlee - Up until now since 6 weeks we are having an U/S every 2 weeks to check on the very little one.

Jayne - thanks so much for telling me. Yup, I put 3 too this time because when I got pregnant last time one out of 3 stuck. We seem to have quite a severe morphology issue so the embies many times looked great then disappeared - even when we had 2 blasts. My discussion with RE prior to ET this time was precisely as you say - that with our rates what are the chances of twins making it all the way to 12 weeks? But he said he's seen it all. I have to be honest with you - both PTL and preeclampsia CAN be related to clotting issues. Are you on aspirin or even lovenox? I'm on both because even though we don't quite classify as having APLA (they need to see more than repeated BW results that confirm and "only" 1 late loss apparently) we need to do IVF and I'm not so young anymore :( I get this special treatment. I'm only glad to have bruises and bumps all over if this will mean a healthy baby!!! BTW - I heard the p17 is really good at preventing contractions etc. problem is, among the many "just in cases" our MFM talked about such as cerclage, bed rest and lovenox he didn't mention p17 like the high risk we previously met did. I hope it's in his plan anyhow as I'm always reluctant to "offer my knowledge" to docs. They don't like that!
Me - 35 (found about APS after PTL)
DH - 34 (0% morph)
10/10 # 1 IVF (ICSI) - chemical
12/10 # 1 FET - chemical
02/11 # 2 IVF (IMSI/ICSI) - BFP - PTL at 22 weeks 5 days
11/11 # 2 FET - BFP - no HB, D&C
02/12 # 3 IVF - BFN
04/12 # 4 IVF - BFN
