Thank you so much Maria!! Our cycles are very much alike or used to be! It's great hearing how they are more regular now! I too saw someone about this when I was around that age. I was told one of my Ovaries wasn't mature quite yet. No one has ever mentioned that since so I don't know. I kinda forgot about him saying that.

I used to get wrapped up into it that I couldn't enjoy sex at all. I've gotten tons better over the last 2-3 years and even more so the last year. I'd literally say (In my head of course!!) please let this work!! LOL!! I've actually put it in the back of my mind until today, getting it just days after my AF along with the cramps. We did have sex a couple of days ago but not tonight. So we'll just see how it goes! If it is and we get pregnant great! If not it will be okay and there is always next year!

Thanks for the advice and reminder to just enjoy ourselves! Now if I could just go to sleep! It's just after 4am. Ugh! I def won't take a nap tomorrow. Been so sleepy the last couple of weeks. Maybe it's the shopping or iron needs checked.

Maria and Gina- You are too funny. I love the sex facts that your husband shared, Maria. Oh, and your tree is lovely!

Leora- We only have one frozen embryo left. If this doesn't work then we are back to square one. I think I have to do 5 weeks of BCP because I refuse Lupron. It's because of my MS. Lupron and MS don't mix well.

Bonnie! CONGRATS!

AFM- I am on winter break from school which is great! I managed to stay quite busy though. I did enjoy a castor oil pack and belly massage, which by the way is amazing. I do self care now and will go for the real deal soon. It has helped with my endo pain. It's one of the first things I recommend if someone has had endo or pelvic surgery. It's great for the adhesions.

I spent a lot of time going through EOBs and talking with the insurance co. For some RIDICULOUS reason, our clinic's facility fee was considered out of network so our insurance only paid 20% of it. I know I shouldn't complain because we have insurance, but it sucks to get a bill for $1245 when you are expecting to pay nothing. All other things have been covered and apparently the facility fee is in network as of Sept 1 so it shouldn't happen again. We also got a bill for the cryo which doesn't make any sense either. I left messages with financial services today after spending a lot of time on the phone with the insurance.

I decided that my winter break was going to be my time to get back into running and that is just what I did. I ran 5 miles today and it was so HARD! I have been on a 6 month break. I hurt like I have the flu  Oh well. That's the way it goes.

Maria - beautiful tree! A few years ago, I asked my husband if he thought we'd had sex more than a thousand times. He said "no way" and I pointed out that we've been together a few years, and average a few times a week - so definitely more than a thousand times. It's just weird to put it in that perspective! :D

Julia - hi! No worries - it gets really slow around here at holiday time - people are busy with lives and families and almost no one gets to cycle over Christmas. I never had any pain or any discomfort after either of my HSGs. I was so scared, because people I know had said it was the worst pain they had ever been through - but I wasn't even mildly uncomfortable. Weird, huh?

HopeThisWorksM - yeah - mine too. Probably something genetics. But at the same time, I always think "if it wasn't meant to be, then why did it have to happen?" A BFN sucks, but a miscarriage sucks more.

Bonnie - CONGRATS! I see that this beta was 13dpt - but was that a 3 day transfer or a 5 day transfer? If you'd like to obsess about the number (and I always do!) - check out http://www.betabase.info. Sucks that you had to get fluid drained - luckily I've never had that happen! But the pregnancy will make the OHSS worse, but the OHSS won't affect the pregnancy

Gina - no idea about ovulation - sorry! I've never done that on my own

kbillsy - how are you? Spotting stopped? Did you get to reschedule your u/s?

Neffi - another bad pee stick this morning? UGH. I'm so sorry hon. I know exactly how you feel - been there done that. It sucks to go for a beta and already know it's negative.

Lydia - hurray! From now on, any BFPs are real BFPs! Keeeeeeppppp peeeeeiiiiinnnnggggg!

Amy (kerpupples) - hurray! Congrats on starting your FET. Do you know how long until your FET?

Patricia (Ninde) - cool! My aunt (uncle's wife) is an identical twin, but I'd never met her twin (because we aren't related). I was walking around outside and saw my "Aunt Debbie". I ran over and said 'hi'. I was surprised she came to Israel and hadn't called, and that she was with a group of people I didn't know (not her husband or kids), but it never occured to me it was her sister! How embarassing! Now that I think about it, they don't look very identical (they are in their 50s) but close enough that I recognized her!

Nicole - wow! I'm amazed your insurance covers your IVF - that's really rare in the USA, right? Someone started a debate on a (non-IVF/baby related) message board I'm on about whether or not IVF should be covered. SOOOO many people were entirely ignorant about what it means to be infertile and need IVF. So many said "well, instead of spending money on IVF, people should adopt" -- ignoring the fact that don't we deserve bio children/pregnancy/childbirth/etc - everyone seemed to think adoption was easier and cheaper than IVF when it's NOT. ughhhh.... pissed me off so much. (Also - everyone assumed IVF was for age-related infertility ie, "people waited too long" - EXCUSE ME! We started TTC when I was 21 - did we "wait too long"? Ugggghhhhh) <vent over>

AFM - beta blood drawn. I went to the clinic nearest my work, so no "rush" results like at the main clinic or the IVF clinic - I have to wait until about 4pm to get my results. I'm not a very good "waiter"!

First night of Chanukah tonight. We are going to my in-laws to celebrate. Neither DH or I are in the mood. The last time was saw my inlaws, we were telling them I was pregnant (we told them we lost the baby over the phone). This is going to be depressing...

on top of everthing - I'm sick again! Damn cold. At least I can take medicine (I couldn't a few weeks ago when I had the flu because I was pregnant).... "silver linings", right?

Bonnie - a huge congrats to you. Yay, yay, yay for good news. :D

Leora - hoping for a big fat zero HCG for you today.

Blue - you ran 5 miles straight off. Wow! You're a machine.

Neffi - I've got everything crossed for a surprise BFP. My bestfriend's sister recently did an IVF cycle and POAS on the day of her beta. It was negative, and then her beta result was a BFP with a decent number too. So surprises do happen. :)

Ninde - how are you doing? I also saw New Year's Eve and really enjoyed it. I was just in the mood for something light and entertaining. It got slated in reviews which is a bit of a shame.

AFM - beta # I've lost count! It decreased from 100 to 89 over a week. The clinic is a bit concerned that it hasn't dropped to zero especially since I've been bleeding since the day of my last beta a week ago. So it's turned out to be a long drawn out process. Another bloodtest next Thursday and hopefully a lovely '0'. Please, please, please don't give me a ruptured tube for Xmas. That would really top off what's been a pretty crap year. I'm so looking forward to 2012 and a nice fresh start. :)

okay - I can only hit refresh so many times before I go nuts!

My "brilliant" choice to have my beta done at the clinic right near work (that doesn't have "rush" hormone results like the main clinic) was STUPID! I'm soooo bad at waiting!

So, I'm stuck at work, doing a stupid filing job no one cares about... while y'all are still Image

I'm hungry, I'm cranky, I'm sick and I don't want to WAIIIITTTT!

F*CK

There is no other word to describe how I'm feeling right now. Beta was 59 last Wednesday (6 days ago). I was hoping for zero, but more realistically in the teens or 20s...

instead --

148

are you kidding me? I called my clinic and spoke to a nurse. She said she'll talk to a doctor and get back to me.

I'm thinking incomplete miscarriage (how can that be? We never saw anything on the u/s and I stopped bleeding) or ectopic.

F*CK.

Leora- not sure how long ago you posted but i'm up! My nurse said the hsg is like the hydrosonogram but a little worse. I reminded her that I didn't deal well with that but she said if I was hurting after that I could always call the on call Dr and they could call something in. I don't want to be in pain on Christmas! I'm a big wuss. I promise my pain threshold is lower than done people.

Neffi-i'm hoping that everything turns around for you today. Prayers are going up for you.

Ninde-I go for another acupuncture Wednesday. The other days visit was awesome! I could get used to that for sure.

well - I had an u/s. They were really nervous, because I should be about 7.5 weeks pregnant - which is a big enough fetus that if this was ectopic, it was really urgent.

The u/s didn't show anything definitively ectopic - but we haven't completely ruled it out yet. There were 2 "things" that were unusual, but they could just be cysts or something (one behind my uterus and one next to an ovary - but unusual places for ectopic). Both tubes are clear.

I follow up with another blood test and u/s at the IVF clinic tomorrow.

I'm PRAYING the beta number today was just a lab error or something. I was so excited to start again. I really hope this miscarriage doesn't drag on and on like the last one...

I'll let ya'll know tomorrow.

Happy Hanukah!

Hi everyone! Image

Christy- Looks like you and Santa are going to have a lot of travelling to do this Xmas! I wish you a safe trip and to have a great time with your family!
Image

Blue- I cannot believe the lie is still on! This is ridiculous honey! I know how hard must be for your DH to tell but he has to prior to your visit to get over with it. C’mon you shouldn’t suffer like that. my prayers are with you ! none the less, I wish you a wonderful time with family! And YAY! For getting back on the track! Keep up with exercising! It is great! :D And I hope you get at the bottom of the insurance situation...
Image

Hopethisworks- I really do hope this works for you dear! May the results come back clean and you get the green light for your next cycle. this is IT! ...and btw, I LOVE your positive attitude! :D Image

Leora- Yay! You are a heartbeat away from starting your stims!!!! :D I realy hope you get your zero today! And may this be the blessed pregnancy for you my friend! Good luck on your show!!! I am sure you are going to rock! ...You remind me last years the ridiculous debate of sex selection! I was discussed by the way some people think! even though I never took part on that dialogue, I can’t believe that these kind of people really exist! We are willing and are going through hell to even have one healthy baby no matter what sex is that baby! As long as it’s ours we would cherish that! I am sure you all feel the same...anyway! with that been said, I wish us a healthy baby soon!! and F**k the ones that have the luxury to select! ....hey! just saw your post on the “rising” beta! How is that possible! I know this might sound stupid....but...is there a chance that you are still pregnant! I am sorry for my ignorance! I don’t mean to make you feel bad! But this is just an idea, as stupid as can be...can it be also true? BIG (((HUGS)))!!! and Happy Hanukah!!

Image

Neffi- I am hoping today brings you good news honey! This sucks and I’ve been there so many times :( ...and even if it’s not meant to be this time, then the next is going to be IT for sure! The New Year is going to be a better one! trust me! and you will get your baby soon! Don’t worry! :) My thoughts are with you ((hugs))

Image

Ester- I saw your signature and a HUGE smile came on my face! A Boy and A Girl!!!! that is absolutely fantastic honey! One of each flavour am sure is like a dream come true! I am SO SO happy for you!! and already your halfway! Good job chica! This must be the best Xmas ever for you and DH! I am dreaming of this day too! I am getting emotional just be thinking of it. Send me some baby dust over for Xmas! oh! I wish you a smooth pregnancy all the way my friend! and Happy holidays for you and your family!
Image

Lyd- how are you pupo mama? :D I love asian dishes too! my DH loves Indian more but I prefer more thai and Chinese. I went to Thailand twice and the first time i went, I took an express cooking course (learn just 3 dishes) in a Thai restaurant called “spices” at Phi Phi island and was an amazing experience! I was cooking with the owner in an open kitchen at the beach and at the end on the 2nd day “training”, friend’s had the pleasure of trying my dishes...mmm yummy!... i even got a certificate from taking the 2 day course! :D ..Actually on Christmas Eve we are invited at my SIL and she is making Chinese....the menu includes crispy duck which is one of my fav dishes and lucky me, this dish is one of my SIL specialties! So looking forward to Xmas Eve! ...So, you have transferred 3 beautiful embies am sure at least one of them is going to stick and grow to a beautiful baby! Be positive and Santa will bring you a baby for Xmas! Hey! I have an idea! why don’t you POAS on Xmas and if positive, (i am praying that it is!) you wrap it in a box under the tree for your DH to open. I would do that if i were in your shoes! We did you say that not all are genetically normal? How do you know that if you didn’t had a PGD?.....my doctor didn’t let us, or should I better say, didn’t recommend us to transfer more than 2 each time so only once we have transferred 3 and once 1 and that was because we didn’t have any more to transfer (we thawed 2 and only one made it) all the other times we transferred only 2. We have transferred in total of 7 IVF’s 14 embryos and still no baby...it breaks my heart just to think of it....so I will say kudos for transferring 3 this time my friend! Maybe next time I will transfer 3 myself!

Image

Laura- what a wonderful relationship you have with your ex in laws. Some can’t even stand their current in laws! Seriously, that is a very good thing for your son to have, all his family together from time to time..
Image

Wehavehope- Maria you are getting closer to your PFP! :D I wish you a great ER and a smooth ET! This is Xmas is going to be a blessing for you and family!...I can only imagine how hard the holiday season must be for your son and you and I hope you guys find your peace soon! and what a better way to do that with adding another one..or two..members in your family!!! Good luck! ...what a beautiful & bright Xmas tree honey! Good job!
Image

Indigo- how are you girl? Image

Bonnie- CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! You are pregnant! WOOHOO!! ....never heard of draining from the belly but hey! I was never pregnant! Don’t worry though, I am sure this is pretty normal thing! I wish you high rise number on Wednesday!!! enjoy your Xmas baby!!
Image

Kbillsy- glad the bleeding stopped! I have been making butter cookies and cupcakes all week!!! I can fed ex you some if you want! You, STAY away from your kitchen! Relax and dream of your bean growing! That should be your only job for the holidays!
Image

Gina- reading your stories of travelling so many miles away from home to get to your families you and Christy and i am sure others too, it must be so hard and I feel sorry for you guys going through all that money spending and time consumption. In cases like this is when I feel grateful that both mine and DH’s families, are just 15min away from our house. Of course we do have relatives that live abroad but our immediate family is close to us. As i mentioned other times, I live in a small island of approx only 720 thousand residents! The longest distance between two places is a 4-5hrs car drive.
Image

Julia73- I am glad you are feeling better with acupuncture. :D I hope that your hsg works fine on the 23rd and doesn’t give you a hard time during Xmas! Good luck!
Image

Kerpupples- I love that you are cheerful on your 1st AF day! been there so many times!!! And I know exactly how you feel! Funny thing with AF, sometimes we really pray for it and some others we pray that it doesn’t show her face for the next 9 months! ..when in Jan is your FET? Good Luck!
Image

Bodie-Oh my! you have already passed the 13 weeks! Bravo girl! :D I am happy for you! how are you feeling mama?
Image

Neffi- I am glad that you are having lovely days in your life. I haven’t seen that movie yet but now that you mention I will definitely look into it. something light for the holidays is the best. even though last night we've watched the DRIVER and I love it. excellent cinematography especially those slow motion scenes! look for it if you havent seen it already...Image

Gina1976- I wish I could give you an answer to your question! But no. My cycles are regular as Xmas coming every year on the 25th! I don’t even have any symptoms besides sore boobs sometimes nothing else. I just know Xmas is coming! Why don’t you call your doctor and ask him his opinion. It will make you feel better knowing. Image

Ninde- My grandmother (my mother’s mother) was a fraternal twin–there are a lot of twins running in her family, before my grandma - and she always told me that there’s a big chance that I get pregnant with twins someday... yeah grandma! With IVF anything is possible! Don’t get me wrong saying this, but I am glad that my grandma died so that she doesn’t see my going through IVF. That would break her heart! I was one of her favourite grandchild and we always joked about the twin spell in our family. May she R.I.P. she died at the age of 95 but had the heart of a 12yr old! Image

Tess- I am sorry you too with Leora are waiting for your beta’s to drop to zero. It sucks! :( I hope it drops really fast for you! What are your next plans?
Image

AFM- You can officially call me Anton the baker now! My house has been smelling cookies, vanilla cupcakes, chocolate fudge cake, chocolate chip muffins all week and soon to smell Christmas Log and Coconut cake...I have spent all last week up to date with baking and shopping, doing xmas errands, ...and I LOVE IT! I’ve become a cake making machine but thank God I don’t eat what I am making...besides trying a bite just to see if all good but that’s it. Besides, the only thing staying at the house are the butter cookies the rest are I have taken them at the carehome.
I figured since I am not cycling I might as well do something useful and creative around the house. My house now looks and smells like Santa’s workshop!  Butter cookies! Yummy!! I thought since I am not doing IVF at the moment, I could do something to bring joy into our home and do the things that I have always been dreaming of doing with my kids. This way I feel like I am getting closer to having them...silly me, I know! But I don’t care. I’ve been dreaming of having babies in our house from day one and every year I wish for the same thing...May this year brings us a family!...and I will make the same wish this year too as I believe that one time I will get my wish come true! I am not asking much don’t I! It is hard to have another one year go by with no babies playing around the house. I am praying that 2012 is going to be OUR year! If the first IVF worked our baby would be now almost 2yr. :( I always count the “what if’s” and I know it doesn’t help but I can’t help it. :( We have come SO far it is only natural to go back and do the year’s resolutions....enough of venting now, a new year is just around the corner and I am thrilled to get it started! I am sure that there’s a baby for us in 2012! I just know it! :D and I can wait to meet him/her! we are waiting for our baby and we love it so much already!! ...don’t worry, I haven’t lost it...not yet! I just want to give the New Year a fresh start. And this is exactly what it is! :D

So, Xmas Eve, we are having dinner at my SIL and the menu is Chinese and we are playing games later on. On Christmas day we are invited at my DH cousin where most of his close family is gathered, we eat and play cards etc until late at night. On the 28th we are having a Xmas dinner at our place for our families and I am making Roast Turkey with chestnut, appricot etc stuffing..I have never done it before but I’ve always wanted to! I found this amazing recipe and can wait to try it!...not everyone here makes Roast turkey at Xmas. We mostly do BBQ but not the American way BBQ...I’ll explain some other time...and also a buffet of yummy food and sweets for desert. On the 30th Dec until 1st Jan we are having friends to stay over from another town. We are trying to arrange a New Year's Eve party at our house to welcome the New Year with our friends and close family and I am looking forward to that. Most of our friends will come soon after the clock hits 12 since they will be with their families and as soon as the New Year comes they will come to party at our place. I am only making finger food, offering wine, chips and nuts. Besides everyone will be full from their dinners...but it will be nice to have something to nipple with their wine... I will also make an egg-rice soup to serve in the morning hrs before heading to bed... (it is a tradition at our house, when we are hosting the New Year Eve party. Friends usually live at morning hrs (around 6-7am) and a warm soup during those hrs it is a perfect delight! Besides those who don’t live they sleep on the couches or on the carpet next to the fire place...it is sight not to miss next morning!   We haven’t host last year and so this year everyone is looking forward to it...

I have some gifts left to buy for all of our closest friends kids. Eleven kids in total, ranging from 7yr the oldest and 9months being the youngest one. Even though I Love buying kids toys I feel sad at the same time because we don’t have our own kids. :( Its hard to always buy for someone else’s kid. I am sure you all can relate to this..One of our friend she is due to give birth on the 4th Jan so that makes our house party even more interesting! Imagine if her water breaks at the party! I bet that will be a good omen for me and DH! She told me that she is bringing her hospital bag with her, just in case!

So my lovely ladies, just in case I don’t make it to post again this week, and I am sure all of you are busy with Xmas obligations etc...

I want to wish you all with ALL my heart, MERRY CHRISTMAS and A HAPPY NEW YEAR full of baby dust and sticky vibes for all of us!! May this year brings baby laughs in our lives, lots and lots of dippers to change and lots and lots of sleepless nights next to our babies crib!!!! That’s my wish!!! enjoy the holidays everyone!!! :D
