Super quick post here because I am still out of town and traveling today, BUT, I POAS x3 now and have seen a faint line each time!!!! I am so excited and of course nervous too:) I will keep taking tests morning and night until my beta on Wednesday.

I'll write personals later, but quickly reading up on everybody, sounds like everybody is progressing so nicely!
Neffi, how are you feeling after your ET?

Let's keep up the positive thinking; so far this thread is doing awesome!!

Alexis: Congrats!!! I can't wait to hear your beta, when is it?

Lyd: I get what you are saying and feel that you should go with your gut on the transfer. No matter what the outcome, it's important to be your own advocate and believe that you've done everything possible to assure the best outcome. Besides, now you get to have drinks on Christmas and New Year!

AFM: I've started brown spotting again... For the last 4 days. It's so depressing. I feel like I'm standing on the edge of a miscarriage. Sometimes, I get hopeful because it seems to stop but then it just comes back. My next scan is on Friday which seems so far away. My heart is aching and I wish that I knew what is happening.

Hello again!

Barbara, I'm sorry for the spotting you are seeing, but if it's brown, maybe it's just old blood from when you were spotting before? They said everything was fine when you went in before, right? I know what you mean about Friday being so far away. When you have your next milestone to wait for, each day goes by so slowly!! It's like time has stood still. Try to stay positive though! You have no reason to believe this is heading for a MC. You are pregnant!!

Neffi, my transfer was on Saturday, December 3rd (3 days transfer that day) and my first POAS was 7 days later (12/10 am). The line was so faint, I woke my husband up to see if my vision was correct or not! The lines have gotten slightly darker (but not a ton) and I took a digital test this morning and it said pregnant! Somehow seeing the word made it feel more real (although I know there is a long ways to go before things are ok/safe). My beta is on Wednesday. Now, I'm getting curious what the # will be and also if more than one took...that could be scary (but of course a blessing after all the IVF attempts!

LYD, how are you feeling? Did you make a decision on freezing vs. transferring? That would be such a difficult decision to make for sure! You definitely have to keep your health in mind too, as much as you want a baby NOW. Keep us posted with what you guys end up deciding! We are here for you and thinking of you!

Michele, how did you appointment go today? Do you have a definitive ER day? How are you feeling? I bet you are ready to get those eggs out and feeling pretty bloated (if you are anything like I am a couple days before ER!). Did your husband's TESE get scheduled? If your procedures end up being a day apart, that may be a good thing so you can be more helpful to each other? I have no idea what goes into a TESE and what the recovery time is like though...Will you have help with Ella? by the way, that picture of her is awesome and she is SO adorable!

AFM, I am feeling good, although this time (vs. my son 2 + years ago), I feel so much more going on in my uterus. I have been getting small twinges here and there. Almost like super vague, light cramps, but I wouldn't even call them cramps. Barbara, did you notice anything like this? I hope it's ok! Beta on Wednesday, so I'm so curious what my numbers are. Thinking of all of you...keep us posted!

Hi guys, did my trigger shot last night. I am so glad to be approaching the end of this phase. I am nauseous and constipated. I am ready for ER on Tuesday. I am leaning towards freezing all. I seem to have accepted this idea and so might as well just go with it. But I obviously have not discussed it with the doc f and embryologist.

Alexis, Congratulions! That is so exciting. Can't wait for your beta number and hope this will be a drama free pregnancy.

Barbara, I an sorry you are having the bleeding drama. It really sucks. But I think old blood is ok. Even new blood is ok, too. I've bleed ith my DS. I hope your Friday u/s will bring you reassuring news!

I am feeling I tired. My DS Islas difficult this weekend. He is a very high energy child and likes a lot of attention. Between Work and DS I am often quite exausted. I sometimes contemplate quitting and finding a part time job.

With my first pregnancy, I had light, period like cramping right around the time of my beta... Cramps like the day before the real period cramps start. I was so sure that I wasn't pregnant. With this pregnancy, I haven't had any cramping but I often feel "aware" of my uterus - it doesn't hurt but there's a feeling there that makes me know that something is going on with that part of my body.

Lyd: How long did you bleed with your DS? How bad was it? I've read a lot of encouraging things on the internet but I'm still so scared.

Hello, hello!

I have not heard from RE yet, but dh heard from his dr. His Tese is tomorrow at 1-ish (I guess my dr talked him into switching the OR schedule), so I assume my ER is Wednesday morning as long as we get something from TESE. I am expecting my phone call with a trigger time for tonight. I am nervous about it all this time. But sub plans are done at school, I have a very supportive team and hopefully my students will not go insane while I am gone.

I will update again later and try to do some personals. :D

Barbara - i bled for good 2 weeks at least. my doc put me on home rest for the first week - because he saw a hematoma in my uterus and it was close to baby so he didnt want to take any chances. anyway about 2-3 weeks later it all passed. there is lots of bleeding examples on this site and most of the time bleeding is not connected to misscariage - its coming from some other place in uterus. seems to happen a lot with IVF.
but in your case - your bleding seems very light. spotting really. i wouldnt worry. i am sure it will be fine. most miscarriages is the other way around - you find out the baby stopped growing first, then you bleed. so i dont think its connected to miscarriage.

hang in there! can you go for an early U/S to ease your mind?

Hi Michelle - that's really exciting! this week is going to fly by! i hope your DH's TESE goes well tomorrow! let me know how it goes - keeping my fingers crossed!

AFM, i did my trigger last night - i am actually not feeling very bloated - just constipated and nauseous and this aweful taste in my mouth. i am so ready to get this over with!!!! i am also tired of agonizing over whether to transfer or to freeze. i guess we'll decide tuesday/wednesday. once we know what my E2 is at (tuesday) and what the embryos are looking like ( wednesday). i am still leaning towards freezing all. i did my trigger myself yesterday - in my butt - since i had so much practice from all the PIO shots it was no big deal. the harderst part was staying up till 11pm to do it. But it made me think of all the PIO shots coming up and more constipation from progesterone and more mood swings and i was leaning towards freezing all. if i am going to go through this crap again - i might as well have the best darn chance for the embies. urghhhh. i hate agonizing over this.

Lyd: My spotting isn't bad - not by what I've heard others going through but it just seems so wrong to have anything coming out while pregnant. I suppose that I could go for another scan earlier if I asked but I'm actually scared to know.

I was wondering... If you have two embryos that aren't doing so hot and might not make it to freeze, maybe you can have those put it... Kinda give the underdogs a chance while not gambling with your lining on your super stars?

Barbara - if you are not having any real cramps with your spotting than everything is fine. if you had any kind of miscarriage at this point - you would be doubled over in pain. You are really lucky not to have had any bleeding during your 1st preganncy :) most IVF pregnancies bleed :) what progesterone are you on? PIO or suppositories?

thanks for the advice on the embies. i've thought about doing that - but my last transfer we used up my remaining so-so embies - 4 of them - and i ended up with a really prolonged chemical/miscarriage - that lasted forever and then i had to get a D&C. it was such an emotional rollercoaster with betas going up slowly and not seeing the right things on the U/S - that i just dont want to subject myself to any so-so embies anymore.

yep - its a tough one. i just heard from my embryologyst - we write back and forth via email - and she said we'll make the best decision once we know how the ER goes and how many embies i have. so only 2 more days of agony and then on wednesday i'll know what's going on.

Hiya!

Well, I triggered at precisely 10 pm tonight. Dh's tese is at 1:45 at the hospital tomorrow, we need to be there for 12:45. My ER (so long as everything goes well tomorrow with tese) is at 10 am on Wednesday morning. Oh the nerves! Just want to get it all over with...hopinh I am well enough to get back to work on monday (as well as being PUPO of course). I am so worried it will end up like last time, with almost no eggs and none fertilizing, not even having a valid fighting chance. I understand that whatever is meant to be will be, but just give me a chance! It was so miserable going through ER and being in so much pain for not even a chance. If I get a bfn, at least it was a full cycle. If we don't even make it to transfer again, I will be devastated.

Fingers crossed for spermies tomorrow!

Hi ladies, I m back from ER. They got 10 eggs, which is normal for me. They got 11 when I was 39 and 13 when I was 37 but only 10 were mature. The best news was my DH sperm count and quality went up. So those suppliments worked! I have Ester, moorebsby, to thank for that. Her DH results inspired me to get my DH on suppliments diligently. His count was 7m vs 2m last time. And his morphology was 7% vs 1% last time.
Now just wait for fertilization report tomorrow and decide if we transfer or freeze. My E2 was 2300 today. So it probably peaked at under 4000, which is not that bad.

Lyd: How exciting and what a good number of eggs. I read somewhere that the best success rates come from egg collections that are about 10 eggs. Also, thanks for the reassurance on my spotting. I'm trying to be optimistic. I made a promise to myself that if everything is okay at my ultrasound on Friday that I will let the worry go, wear dark underwear and pee in the dark! I'm doing PIO injections.

Michele: Best wishes for a great retrieval. My first ER hurt like hell and I was sore for days. My second ER was a breeze. I was at the same doctor for both. So don't worry... It might not be bad at all.

Alexis: Your beta is tomorrow!!! I can't wait to read your awesome result!

Neffi: Tomorrow is a big day for you too, right? It's the start of POAS season! Best wishes! How many days past transfer will you be?

AFM: I'm still taking the suck train to spotsville. I really, really want the spotting to stop.

Not good news for me today...I am copying and pasting from a separate post I just made...please pray for me ladies, I will update tomorrow when I can...

Oh I am depressed and I have no one to talk to but you ladies!

DH went for his 3rd tese today, this time in the hospital OR. It didn't go well. Uroligist claimed to see nothing, so went into both sides and packed it up for me to drive to the clinic. I was having panic attacks and felt like I wanted to vomit the entire 40 minute drive to the clinic and back knowing that this might be it. I am all set for ER tomorrow at 10am, but worst case scenario might happen...no sperm!

I talked to my lab around 5 tonight and they looked for 2 hours and only saw 2 dead sperm. They are going to let it sit over night and recheck in the morning, hoping to see some "twitchers." So I will show up there at 9am and find out our fate. No viable sperm, and no desire to use donor sperm means the end of the round for us.

I know, it's not over until the fat lady sings, but she is certainly warming up her vocal chords tonight! Please pray for me. I know I am blessed to have my one beautiful little girl, but we have tried so hard for number 2 and have failed so much. I just want one last fighting chance. If it is not meant to be, I know it won't be...but please let me make it to transfer day with something! How miserable this is going to be with a dh who is down for the count right now in extreme pain, and me taking all these meds for possibly not even a retrieval. I seriously want to throw up it makes me so sick to my stomach just thinking about it.
