The last week or so, I've been sweating through my pajamas every night - which means I wake up in the morning FREEZING cold and needing to shower (which is a pain, because we rely on solar power to heat our water, and often I don't have hot water early in the morning).
I decided to ask "Dr. Google" before calling my GP. What I found is that night sweating isn't a sign of anything serious - just an annoyance. The most common causes are menopause and prescription drugs. I do take prescription anti-depressants, but I've been on the same drug/dosage for about 3 years and NEVER had night sweating issues before.
I didn't see "miscarriage" as a common cause, but I'm thinking that maybe my drop in estrogen (after a chemical pregnancy after a FET using oral estrogen medication) could be causing the night sweats (the same way that menopause does). Am I nuts? I've never had this issue after my other losses or BFN cycles.
My bedroom isn't too warm, I'm using the same PJs and blankets as usual, no hot baths/foods before bed.
This is annoying as h*ll! Any advice? Anyone else have this issue? Should I talk to my GP? To my RE?
(no way this could affect my upcoming fresh IVF/ICSI cycle, right?)
8 IVF+6 FET=6 BFN+8 BFP =
-b/g twins 22w (12.09)
-mc 10w (9.10)
-Micha (7.19-24.11) & Asaf (7.19-28.11) born at 24w
-mc 5wk (2.12)
-no HB at 18w (10.12)
-BO (4.13)-
-mc 6wk (9.13)
last attempt - donor sperm - baby girl born healthy July 2014
I really have no idea. Ask your RE. If it is caused by an estrogen drop, I suppose they could put you on an estrogen priming protocol to prep for your stim cycle, and that would put an end to it.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
Leora, I had night sweats, too. During my cycles. Usually when the hormone levels are changing. I don't remember any more if it is when they are going up or down.its been so many cycles but I definitely had night sweats a number of times last 2 years. They last for a few weeks and then go away.
