Chris Great Beta!!!!! Your little girl is growing like a weed, cant wait for your u/s, thanks for asking AF decided to play tricks and try to come 5 days early!! by trying i mean last sat night i had a "gush" and cramps thought whooo hoo she is here now she is on/off like spotting but feck it i took the bcps on sat night and still on them maybe thats why she has slowed down who knows or she still may hit back with a vengence!!!!

Leora hun if you reading just saw your Amazing News!!!!!!! Kayla and I will go light a candle for your precious baby xxxx

Jason and I went out on the town sat night, his mum took Kayla, and boy did we go mad, went to a tapas bar then a pub crawl!! Poor j suffers terrible hang overs and just died Sunday where as i am one of the lucky ones who can drink as much as i want and am perfect next day :D :D :D J said Sunday was cancelled and he was gonna lie on the couch and die for the day...hmmmm... i told him thats for single men with no kids a 20 month old doesnt care for hangovers!!! It was a great night and hopefully our last "session" till next june!!! though j surprised me with a weekend away in October after ivf where we are either gonna celebrate another miracle pregnancy or celebrate the end of a decade trying for babies!!!!!
7th IVF finally our precious miracle girl Kayla born 24/11/10, 8th IVF FET Sept 2012 BFP!!!

gi - my last AF before BCP was the same way.. i figured it would be really bad but i started BCP's the day after AF started and then i had nothing.. just spotting here and there. Glad you and hubby had a good night out.. sounds like something scott and i would do. This time we had a concert the Saturday before transfer and i was ready to get my drunk on. then found out our DD wouldn't be able to drive us home so ended up me driving home and not drinking. it was way too hot to drink anyway, i would have gotten seriously sick. I remember lots of drunk nights before my IVF cycles. those were the days.. LOL!!! one cycle was looking really crappy, i was on day 9 or 10 of stims and my follicles weren't doing crap so i figured i would get cancelled. i went out and go really drunk that weekend. then on monday i had a ton of follicles. i laughed and told the ultrasound tech that it was the beer that made them grow. She gave me a really weird look. So I forgot are you doing a FET or a fresh cycle? when do you start all the drugs? GOOD LUCK!!!

Hi everyone -

Chris - I am thrilled for your awesome last beta! I know the wait until the u/s on the 14th must be feeling like its taking forever to get here, isnt this wait almost worse than the first one? lol. Its going to be the 14th soon enough - yes, I know easy for me to say. I cant wait until you get to see your little girl for the first time - such a special moment! Hang in there honey, less than 2 weeks to go - whew, is it the 14th yet? So happy for you Chris!!!

Gi - Well I was hoping that we'd get to try again together, but apparently my AF is messing the whole thing up - grr!
I should have asked for a u/s when I realized that my body decided to just skip the month of July - sigh. I'm sure it will finally show up but now I dont have a clue when FET might be because I know my RE is going on vacation in Sept, now if I only knew how long he'll be on vacation.. I'm still hoping for a Sept FET since Aug is now out of the question. Boy, this is never simple, is it? Hope your family is enjoying your summer - say hi to your Mam for me, will you - xoxo

Franny - How are you doing honey?? You know we all miss you lots and hope that you're just too busy to check in - xoxo

Rhonda -- awesome on the weight loss and the abs.. i am so jealous.. I really need to lose weight just don't have the motivation. Since having Jake i have been telling myself that I was going to get preggo again so that was my excuse no to try and lose weight. I know a lame excuse. Have fun at Disney!!!

Chris Yay for one lil heartbeat!!! I'm so happy for you. When is your next u/s?

Katie How are you? What's been going on?

afm I've been spending my summer working hard, and playing hard. I've been to a bunch of awesome concerts, and our beach vacation was so wonderful. I just found out today that my one "real life" friend who has been struggling with infertility got her adopted baby today. She did a bunch of iui's and then chose adoption. She has been in the process for 2 years, and her and her husband were matched with a birth mother in Feb. right around my 6th failed ivf. Well the baby is here, and he is perfect and healthy. She said the birth mom was released from the hospital, and so my friend and her dh are staying in a room in the hospital with the baby until Friday. Friday is the surrender, and if everything goes as planned they will be able to bring home their son.
I am so happy for her. We have watched as many of our friends announced their pregnancies, and we've always had each other to cry to. I'm so glad it is her turn, but I have been a hot mess. Deep deep sadness, and pain, I can't stop the tears, and then that incredibly awful feeling of shame and disgust that I am mad at someone I love because they are happy. It is a terrible guilt filled hatred for myself. I don't know what to do anymore. I wish there was a way to stop this constant ache in my heart. The pain from the last 5 years has become intolerable. I have nowhere left to turn.

Franny - Your words and feelings just tear my heart out. I know how it felt for me when I was at my lowest point with the endless cycling always giving me the wrong answer. I echo everything that Chris said, you've put in more than your fair share of heartache and longing and its just plain not fair that this has torn you open the way it has. I wish there were words to help you feel less battered or give you more strength to keep pushing on. Just know that we love you and are here for you to vent or scream or cry always, ok? I want this so badly for you honey! I really hate to hear how much you've been hurting and wish I could fix it. All I can offer is my love, and support. You know I was hoping that you'd try again but I know how much this takes out of you (us). Infertility is so painful and I wouldnt wish it on anyone. I remember when Chris said that she'd like to slap your RE if that would get you your long awaited baby and that comes to my mind now - I'd like to slap him too. .. I can only think please dont give up honey - you two will make the best parents. And dont beat your self up for feeling such complex feelings towards your friend, I mean with all that you and Barry have been put through, no one would be able to push that aside and just feel joy for your friend, its just not possible. You have a huge heart and are such a caring woman that this just has to work for you. I'm sorry if this is coming out jumbled, its late and I'm tired, but my heart goes out to your pain, my dear friend. We're here honey, dont forget that, ok? Big huge hugs coming your way - xoxoxo

Hi ladies,

Franny big big big (((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) you poor divil my heart breaks for you and Barry as i still remember that absolute raw feeling of no hope, desperation and buit up anger of going thro failed after failed attempt and to add to it you have gone and done even more cycles than me so I cant even imagine your pain. Fecking hell its just so unfair and i just hope ye dont give up, i know easy for me to say, but seriously girl i just know you can do it, ivf for ye was never meant to be simple but there has gotta be a baby out there waiting and boy will it be worth it xxxx

Chris love ticker!!! and your little girls name very similar to Kayla :D when is scan???

Rhonda so great to hear from you, though i do read your posts when you pop on! Disney world oh how jealous am i!!!!! I am doing great, cant wait for round 8 to begin and get this show on the road....5 wks to transfer and counting!!
Congrats on weight loss, i am a fitness fanatic and just know how exciting it is too see all those body changes esp. abs!!!

Katie ah girl after your next pregnancy you can hit the gym so enjoy been "lazy" now :D

AFM dont know if i told ye but after Kayla was born word got out that i had a baby after 7 attempts and i made the radio, then national papers and went on tv twice to talk about ivf. Well a girl rang me after this (prob march last yr) and she had four failed attempts and wanted to meet me just to chat and get some hope, she was so downhearted when we met but decided to change to my clinic for one last shot. Well somehow i lost her number and out of blue yesterday she texted me to say thanks she went to my clinic, got a new protocol and is finally 7 mths pregnant, i was jus thrilled cause i was an absolute wreak when i was on tv but did it just to give even one person hope......and Claire was it. Miracles happen everyday we are proof of this.....and franny your miracle is out there just dont give up xx

Gi - That is awesome that you were able to help her out. I think the gals on here are invincible.. it took you 8 attempts to get Kayla.. Katie was 7 attempts to get Ryan and for me it took 7 attempts to get Jake.. Frannie i forgot how many attempts she is on but praying that the next attempt will be successful if she decides to go that route.

AFM - next scan is Aug 14th.

Dang - I need to login more often.

Congrats Chris!! I am very excited for you! Beta dust to you for next Tuesday.

Gi - you made me cry. That's amazing that because of you sharing your struggles that another couple will get to be parents. The power of one indeed. :)

Franny - wish I lived closer to give you a big hug. I'm not good with words, but I hope that there is some fairness in this world and you *will* be a Mom one day soon.

Katie, my FET is currently planned for Sept so hopefully we can cycle together! If not, you have an extra month to relax. ;)

Ronda - great job on your training!

AFM, just working and trying to lose myself in the past by doing some family history research. Of course, that has backfired when I find out just how many babies my female ancestors lost. No vacation for the summer - we are hoping to do something in the fall. We're just not hot weather people.
Just started my BCP for a Sept 17th FET - this will be my first FET, so I'll be looking for advice on how best to inject the PIO without turning my backside into a hardened, black and blue mess. I know you ladies had some tricks to deal with it...the only thing I remember is to make sure to switch out the needle to the smaller gauge!
I'm starting on a new project Monday, so I am feeling some good, positive vibes. Hope it sticks! :)

xoxo,
Libby

Just a quick post since I miss you all - but I'm wiped out after having been up half the night with Ryan's new fear of the dark. I think I got a total of 4 hrs last night - time for bed!

Franny - How are you holding up honey? Know that we love you dearly and worry sometimes..

Ronda - Awesomeness!! I remember way back when I had abs.. ahh, they were a lot or work, but soooo worth it!

Gi - I adore that you openly talking about your fertility struggles in turn helped a woman get her baby! You are so strong Gi! Where would we all had had to go without here.. with each other - the only ones who truly understand just how hard this is? Thankfully we dont have to wonder because we all treasure this site and the support we have here. Roll on in 5 weeks!!!

Chris - I'm so happy for you and I cannot wait to hear about your next appt on the 14th! I'm also just selfishly hoping that you hang around here for awhile. Wouldnt it be great if we could all get to the PAT board with you! I have tons of enthusiasm for my ivf girls, just wish I had more for my own last chance cycle, lol. Oh, before I forget to tell you - I LOVE, love love the name you chose - Kaylee, it sounds just perfect!!

Libby - I'll keep my hopes up that I wont be too far behind your FET - darn if this missing AF didnt mess up my guesstimate on when the heck will my FET date be - so frustrating!

AFM - Well I finally let my nurse talk my stubborn ass into going for a u/s this morning to see what is going on in there - and where in the world is my AF??? I got the call saying that while I should get AF relatively soon, they'd rather that I "make it happen" by talking Provera for 10 days. I've heard of lots of women having to take this to bring on AF before, but this will be a first for me. I'll go get it tomorrow and she said that it usually brings AF within a few days of stopping Provera, so ok, I'll agree, but I cant shake the feeling that it was going to happen soon.. The nurse also said that this is common when patients cycle too much - I laughed and reminded her that 43 is coming up in March - (eeek, how is that possible?) and reminded her that even though I said that the last try was the last time - that this time it really will be. I still want a sibling badly, but I feel so drained from all these failures that the idea of yet another cycle, schedule, endless trips to Labcorp, and not to mention ANOTHER trip across the flipping country and for the love of God another 2ww. Whew, I know, I know - breathe, right? I'll do it, but I dont think I can muster up any excitement anymore. I really have been dragging my feet over this, I mean how long have I been chasing down questions from this nurse? Since last Nov. when I first called them - and now? She had to send me 2 emails - and then call me before I'd agree to go book this u/s appt - if that isnt a sign of being fried from trying, then I dont know what it is, lol. I'm just glad that I have you all to go through it with, cause I dont know how I'd do it without you girls - love you all lots - xoxo

Katie I just wanted to let you know that I had to take provera after one of my canceled cycles to get AF. At first I thought it was no big deal, but after about 4 days of taking it my hair started to fall out in huge clumps!! It was so scary. I used to have pretty thick hair, but after taking the provera it has gotten a ton thinner. It's mostly back to normal now, but man I wish I had just waited the extra few weeks for AF to show up. I will never take that stuff again.
I totally understand about it being hard to get excited about another cycle. In my heart of hearts I know I'm not done, but there is noway I'm going to do another cycle until I can find something new to try. I've been thinking a lot about the lupron depot, but I was going to wait to ask for it until the fall because hot flashes in the summertime sounds way too awful!
I'm always here for you! Please keep us updated on what you decide to do.

AFM So my friend got to take her baby home on Friday, and then she called Barry (She's his friend from high school, but she's been one of my best friends from the day I met her too). She asked us both to be the baby's godparents!! She said her and her husband couldn't think of 2 better people to choose! Of course we said we would be honored. Talk about making me feel even more guilty for my jealously! I am blessed to have them in my life, and I can't wait to meet my godson. (they live in Ohio, so we are going out there in Sept. to visit)

Franny - Hmmm, ok, now you've got me nervous especially considering I'm now on day 3 of this provera. If I see any side effects from it I'll call the nurse and see what they have to say. So far there havent been any, but that darn Metformin gives off enough side effects that hardly anything else could bug me as much, ugh. I'm sure you'll enjoy meeting your new Godchild, but totally understand how complex your emotions must be. Damn, I wish this werent so hard on us. I hadnt wanted to bring it up, but cant help but think that it could never hurt to have a consult with one of " the big RE's" even if its only a phone consult, you'll be charged for it, but you can get a top Dr's opinion, so its worth it. I know lots of women consider CCRM ( in Colorado) to be the best, but Cornell ( NYC) SIRM NY (also NYC) are thought to work wonders too. I'm not saying cyle with CCRM, I've heard that they're fees are really pricey! But for the chance of one of their RE's to look over your history and records could turn up something that your current RE missed. I know it sucks to have to think like this, but honestly how much are you expected to take? This was my plan before my bfp, because I was really at the end of rope and was feeling that it would never work for me. Anyway its something to think about. Just a thought, but maybe its an idea to ask Ghost which way to turn? I just want this to work for you and Barry. Have you had a regroup with your RE since the last try? I'm curious as to what he wants to try next. Sigh, this sure isnt for weaker types, is it? Good thing that you're strong and smart and have a huge heart - you WILL be a mom honey!!! Much love - xoxoxo

Katie - Of course i will stay around to cheer you guys on.. I am always lurking even if i don't post much. I did provera for 5 or 7 days for one of my cycles and didn't have any issues.. it didn't work for me but we later found out that i had a huge cyst that was causing AF to stay away. Glad you are on your way.

Frannie - Congrats on being a God Parent. I know its has to be hard to be happy for them, your feelings are normal. I would be the same way. You have been through so much. I know there has to be some plan out there for you that will work for you.
