Ghost - Blighted Ovum Question

Postby akdelp » Mon Feb 27, 2012 5:22 pm

I know levels with Blighted Ovum are lower than where they would like to see them, but my question is, how low is too low? My numbers aren't where they want to see them and we have had 2 m/c - HOWEVER - they have had a "lab issue" that all my eggs were exposed too...Anyway, what are the levels typically seen in Blighted Ovum cases?
FET #1, #2 - M/C
FET #3 - @ 7 weeks
FET # 4 - Canceled. Hysoroscopy and DnC
FET# 5 - coming soon! November 2012 or so.

Interesting question. I'm curious to know this too. I had a blighted ovum on my last cycle (twins, both sacs empty). My numbers were great. They didn't have any concerns but I only had 2 betas done.

I don't know that anyone has worked out the norms for anembryonic gestations. They are probably just a bit lower than for viable pregnancies and I guess the two distributions overlap quite a bit.

These are, after all, pregnancies with a sac but no fetus. It's the sac that makes most of the hCG.
