Tawny-
I would suggest testing especially if your cycles are very regular, it would place your mind at ease especially if you're one to wonder what if? Stress can play a major role but I'm still one to remain optimistic soooo until you test you're not going to know! :D

Tawny - Any news? AF finally arrived to me at CD33. That was late, my cycles usually last 28-29 days.

Christy - Thanks - have a great weekend. I agree with you, I think showers are stressful, but since I have very few friends in the USA I wont prepare a shower for me if I get pregnant. You have no idea how expensive baby things are in Brazil. Things are so cheap here, I already know what I am going to get, the furniture will be from Ikea and the clothes from Marshall's LOL Why need a shower? I agree, if I had a healthy baby in my arms that would be enough, I dont need showers..

I could only dream of having a 28 day cycle. In 2011 when I was tracking my cycles by temp and sticks my cycles were anywhere between 30-45 days so I'm just going to hang tight untill next week and call in if it's not here. I really hate at home prego tests. Nothing I can do if it postpones the IVF a week or not. Stupid AF doesn't show up with you want it to but it sure will show up when you don't want it to.

Tawny- It's hard to know when AF is anywhere between 30-45 days...Hang in there I hope you find out soon. I hate those home pregnancy test too, I promised myself to never get caught up on all the pee strips it can be addictive.

Pocos- How are you doing with the injections?

Ninde- This journey is truly so unfair to so many out there. I hope you are able to handle all the distress with the client, it must be hard to separate your personal feelings from all this but at the same time you are able to understand what she truly is going through. x

AFM: ugh it's a tough week, I cannot get Leora off my mind I'm truly devastiated. :(
With work, I'm so glad my boss is back from vacation I really need her support more then ever. I'm getting nervous with the upcoming procedure that something is going to conflict with my work schedule or dh's work schedule being that our clinic is 3 hours away, but I have to make this my top priority. I keep telling myself at least I have his sample frozen if there was a conflict. I called the clinic this morning left a voicemail to place an order for the numbing cream making the upcoming progesterone shots easier...I also asked why were not using estrogen patches? I thought estrogen patches were needed right after ET maybe some don't? I also checked to make sure they have enough Gonal-F called into Freedom pharmacy so I don't have to place another order later on for more med. Everything must be here by 10/18, I hate waiting until the last second, last week really flew by with a hectic schedule but pharmacy can overnight stuff so I should be fine. Ha might have to ship the med to work because that seems to be where I live these days, sigh I dream of a VACATION maybe in 2013?

Tawny – It’s not fair, when I had my last failed cycle AF showed up before my beta day! That’s just how it is, when you want AF to move on with the cycle, “she”’s nowhere to be found. I am still doing the AF dance for you here :)

Ninde – How have you been? I hope you can start another cycle soon after your second opinion appointment.

Sunshine – I started Gonal F today (112.5 units in the AM and 75 units in the PM), and continue with Lupron now 5un PM. I also cannot get Leora out of my mind. I have been crying for her, for me, for all of us, this is just not fair. I really hope they can find an answer for Leora’s losses. I think its harder when they cant find what is wrong. I never used estrogen patches after the ET. I only use progesterone suppositories. I hope there are no conflicts with your cycle and your jobs, maybe if there is a problem can you call out sick? I took 5 vacation days this year (I have 10 days/year), and the other 5 I left for IVF stuff, in case there is a conflict. I also have 5 sick days, I took 4 already, all for IVF stuff. I pretty much make my plans around IVF… So I am going to use the 1 sick day left the day of retrieval, and maybe take 1 vacation day as well. For the transfer day, since I wont have any sick days left, I will take a vacation day. I will still have a few vacation days left for 2012 but they wont transfer to 2013, so I have to find a way to use them (hopefully not with IVF related things LOL).

Hi ladies

Tawny: seriously, af does this at the most inconvenient times doesn't it?!!! Mine was a 32 days this month and im nearly sure it has thrown my january dates as a result!!!

Pocos: thanks, hoping to start in jan with transfer in feb. How are you feelinb?

Christy: oh wow, you are right in the middle of the crazy meds!! when is transfer?

Afm: I was teaching today so im quite tired. Adoption. 7th adoption meeting happened on Wednesday. It wasnt good, apparently the face of Intercountry adoption has changed utterly. There was a big meeting last week and all social workers have been told to tell all their couples applying that adoption is no longer in any way to be seen as an option for couples who want to have a family - it is absolutely only to be seen as for the child. Therefore prospective adoptive parents are to realise that their wants and needs are not important at all. Indeed, they say that there are 5 options around a child's best interests such as first - staying with their mother, 2nd going to extended family, third is domestic adoption, 4th is inter country adoption and that's only mildly preferable to number 5 which is institutional care. I totally understand that where possible a child should stay with their mother with support of family. However to say that a child in an orphanage with perhaps 2 careers to every 10 children, where perhaps food is not plentiful and attention is less than abundant is outrageos. Im not blind to the problems of taking a child from ir country and transplanting them to a different country but to me that is better than a child being left with poor care and lack of attention and all the attachment issues we know exist as a result of institutional care. Apparently we have a 5% chance of adopting. Im torn between outrage and sadness

Ninde- Why does adoption have to be so complicated? You would think as perspective parent ones who DESIRES kids they would be seeking out to find us--especially someone like one who can give that child a chance for a normal life. So we would think....but this system is so corrupt and screwed up, I can see why you would be outraged!! Is foster care to adopting that child really out of question? Can you find someone connected with social services to talk with them one on one? I know you say there is slim chance by 5% is still worth fighting for!
As for the injections...I'm only on Lupron I go for the baseline on Thursday and we'll start Gonal-f then. My head has been killing me and this morning I broke down in the stockroom over the littliest thing, everyone is starting to hide from me! Transfer is planned somewhere around Halloween that should be fun with all the doorbell ringing!

Christy, I've always used the patches but everyone's protocol always seems to differ some. I've been told the estrogen is used to support the pregnancy. Maybe your dr doesn't feel it is necessary. I understand your worries about work schedule conflicts. I hope you don't end up juggling! Is the gonal f company still offering the rebate?

I can totally relate to the shower issue, but I still find that I like them. Of course, there are times that I need to not be involved. I think it depends a lot on culture, personality, and upbringing for how much someone wants to be a part of the tradition. I cringe at the thought of someone being forced into it just because. I totally think it should be completely voluntary with no guilt trips!

Ninde, I am still pissed about the adoption situation for you. We started talking about options last night at dinner and brought up the thought of adoption. Dh had no idea the cost! He was shocked. I don't know if I am shocked about anything anymore. I hope you got some rest after teaching. Oh, and really, is it he essay to make you go thru 7 meetings before they tell you this?

AFM, ran 10 miles at a personal best time. I am quite happy about that. We have a half marathon next weekend. We get to run in costume! Halloween is my favorite!!!

Christy- I used estradial pills not patches maybe they are giving you a different form of it :) THe 18th will be here before you know it :)

Ninde- The system isnt fair, There are so many kids needing homes but yet they make it so hard to go through... These rules make no sense why not give a child to a loving caring home where they will get all the love and affection they need instead of living in a orphanage til they are 18 and then get pushed on the street... This World is crazy the way they think, not only are the prices outrageous for adoption but they dont make it easy to adopt... I am praying that a miracle happens and the adoption agency can make magic happen for you...

Good morning ladies,

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. The girls have been keeping quite busy, day and night.

Ninde-I'm so sorry about the adoption. I will truly never understand the way the system is supposed to work. I've seen cases where the state tries so hard yovreunify a child with their drug addicted abusive parent when there are so many loving caring couples that would just die to be patents to one of the children. Ah!!! The system is just so screwed up. You and Ken are always in my prayers. I am really optimistic that this go around will be it for you.

Sunshine-How are you doing with your injections. Still xausing you to feel sleepy?

Pocos-How are you?

Greekchick-where are you??? Hope you are well.

Anton-miss you dearly. Hope you are doing well.

Tawny-the girls and I are doing the AF dance for you. I know how difficult waiting for AF to arrive is. I had one cycle where AF was late by about two weeks. Ah!!! I was so anxiety ridden. We will keep dancing until she comes :)

Leora-keeping you and David in my prayers.

Kynlee-so nice to hear from you. How are you doing?

Blue-wow, 10 miles. You are so amazing. I wish I had that kind of drive. I so wish I could get into running but my knees just hate it :). How are you feeling?

AFM-like I said before, I have been very busy. Also quite tired. The girls ate sleeping a bit more at night but they go to bed quite late and are waking up at different times during the night. I really hope I can get th on a schedule before I have to go back to work. I was supposed to go back next months but I applied for an extension abc it was approved so I will be going back in December. I'm praying I can find a good nanny to care for them at home by then. Thus weekend I received their Halloween costumes in the mail. Anna will be a bumblebee and Katetina a lady bug. I am super excited :) I have entered their Halloween photo in a contest to win a free photo session. Those that know me on this board know how much I love photos. I won't post a picture of them here but here is a link for those that would like to see the girls on their hslloween costumes :) Bu the way, if you like their picture, please LIKE the photo of this link. The halloween photo with the most LIKES wins. Maybe the girls will win the hslloween costume contest :D As always, I keeping all of you in my prayers so that you are granted what each of you wishes for the most. Sending you all my love. Here is the link, enjoy :)

Ninde – I am sorry about the adoption process. Why does it have to be so complicated? I would love to adopt, but its so expensive here in the US, and international adoption is more expensive and we have to wait for a long time. I am thinking of adopting in Brazil, next year I will go there to see if I can apply. At least it’s free, the only problem is the waiting time. I have a cousin who adopted 2 baby boys (one was 1 day old , the other one was 4 months old.) They are 17 years old now. But back then things were easier.
I am feeling ok , thanks for asking – I started the stims last Saturday… Last night I could not sleep at all, I hope the anxiety doesn’t come back!

WeHaveHope – I am feeling ok, started stims last Saturday, I hope it works this time! Wow I love the girls pictures! They are growing fast!

I'm ganna call the doc office today and talk to the nurse to see what to do about AF not showing up yet I'm pretty impatient right now. Last time this happened she said to wait 2 more days and she will send in a prego test and put me on something to make AF show up but then about 2 hours after I got off the phone AF showed up so I'm hoping I can do that again. I can't remember how late I was last time though. I'm kinda secretly hoping that we made it work ourselves but I don't really think that we could be that lucky.

This weekend was pretty strange for me. My DH and I are helping out the local fire department with a haunted house. My cousin is on the fire department. They rented an old abandened builing where the boys riped out a bunch of black mold and all kinds of nasty stuff. I'm just up front taking money and not messing with that. Anyway the girl I'm working with just had a m/c and is perfectly ok with that. Then there is another girl there whose husband is on the fire department helping out and she's suppose to stay home because she is prego but came and actually worked one of the scarring rooms and didn't think twice about all the crap in that building. To top that this was an accident baby because she was on bcp's so they keep joking around that it's an unwanted baby. I was soo uncomfertable when they would all talk about it.
I can just picture me locking myself in a padded room when I do finally get prego just to make sure nothing can happen to the baby. It's crazy the difference between peoples attitudes about pregnancy when you have people that don't really care and then those who are doing everything possible just to conceive a kid.

Tawny-
I know that awkward feeling I deal with it everyday at work, but I've learned to accept that there are idiots out there who have no clue what others go through to bring a little one into this world. Like I said they are clueless and that's why we have each other here. I can relate to the feeling of protecting that baby from the moment we find out, Dh and I've promised ourselves no "Baby on Board" signs, no soccor decals and none of that showy parent stuff. Our child will have what they need but not what they want like all the other kids. Deprieved no? Our kids will know what the true difference of being spoiled and having what they need, there should be some limitation to this materialism! Our kids will know the difference between quality time and possessions. Our child will understand truly what unconditional love is and be taught right from wrong. Honestly I feel sorry for the people out there who are granted to be parents but have no clue what they are getting themselves into.

Pocos- You are 5 days ahead of me lol I hope the anxiety doesn't affect any of us, but we must keep your mind prooccupied as much as possible.

Kynlee-
How exciting that you finally revealed your news on facebook today, so now are you going to try to enjoy this pregnancy? Oh I really hope so...I've been trying to reach you but we seem to keep playing phonetag! I get to spend the afternoon with Annabelle so looking forward to see that girlie who turns eleven this Thursday. I want to take her to get her nails done and shopping if only there were more hours in the day because I need to go grocery shopping too. My first "off day" in 6 days but I'm not sitting on my butt for sure. Speaking of that I did order the elma cream! :D

Maria-
It was great chatting with you at midnight lol, oh goodness those girls better get their nights and days straightened out soon! I'm glad to hear you have requested an extension allowing you to take extra time off until December. Hopefully it all works out with a nanny I would in a heartbeat if I lived closer to your part of Florida! :D Awww the meds I'm getting a little used to Lupron by now the headaches come and go by Thursday dosage drops from 15 down to 5cc and then the other FUN stuff begins! Dh hasn't touched me in weeks are schedules are so hectic anyway but since Saturday I've noticed a yeast infection, I need to lay off soft drinks and bread. I thought I would try Rexall cream to treat it but reading online I'm learning antibodics cancel out any treatment for yeast infections. I need to get ph levels normal before the transfer I'm currently taken an antibodic doxycycline but that's primary to keep us from getting sick with a cold and is not helping with this infection. Does yogurt really work?

Blue-
Amazing girl 10 miles I'm VERY impressed! That upcoming costume run sounds like so much fun, you could easily turn around during the race and get spooked by some scary looking Freddy! lol Rebate for Gonal-F? My clinic just told me Freedom Pharmacy offers a better price but when they call me back today I will be asking for sure. I have a discount card through IVF Attain but hopefully it works for this pharmacy will see! I did find out we are using the patches no etradial but I cringe because the patches never stay on well, especially when you have to leave them on for so long, but I was afraid of getting the patch wet so I peeled it off before showering. I need clarification if we are supposed to shower with the patch on?
I sound so helpless I know but it's been 2 years since our first IVF and I'm thankful for the support you ladies have shown.
