Help! How much work to miss?

Postby Jennazuela » Thu Mar 21, 2013 4:52 pm

Hi, I am clueless about how much work to take off after the implantation. I know 2-3 days is recommended, but I have a very very physical job. As a large dog groomer, I am regularly lifting 80+ lbs, getting kicked in the stomach, twisting, on my knees, moving quickly, etc... Should I take off for a while from the very physical job I have to ensure the wellness of a possible little bean??

Tough call. There is no evidence that bedrest does anything to improve rates of pregnancy but nearly all clinics do it. I've never heard of people taking off more although personally if I was lifting 80 lb dogs I would take off if I could afford it until I had my beta just so I didn't have any regrets. This is not scientific just some feedback about what I would do in your situation. Whatever u chose I'm sure you'll be just fine!! I'm just a nervous nelly :)

I just got my pre/post implantation instruction sheet and it said no heavy lifting or physical exertion for 2 weeks after the procedure. Those were the recommendations from my clinic.
