Lower Stomach Pain After Egg Collection

Postby maryjohn » Sun Jan 29, 2006 7:27 pm

Hi,

we are in our first cycle of IVF and just had egg collection on Friday. Today, my wife is experiencing some lower stomach pain and bloatedness. Is this normal at this stage?

Yes, more likely. But check with your clinic as well.
I had very sore tummy and felt really bloated. Not very nice at all, so lots of calming teas such as camomile and peppermint to help with digestion . Drink lots of water so you don't get constipated and eat natural food which will not give you gases, maybe even take live culture yogurt to help digestion. This wil not put pressure in your already sensitive tummy.
Good luck and keep positive.
