Frozen Embryos for adoption/donation

Postby motorbikemom5 » Wed Jul 17, 2013 9:23 pm

I am currently pregnant with my first IVF cycle. I have 3 naturally conceived living children. When we did the IVF cycle we were successful in having remaining embryos to freeze. The embryos are frozen in Utah. We transferred two and am pregnant with one baby. Our fertility issue was blocked tubes so the mechanics of eggs and sperm are healthy and fine. Some embryos aren't as strong as others and some have a better chance of survival. Our doctors said our embryos are perfect (we just assume God had the plan for us to add one baby to our family and not 2 because there is no other scientific or medical reason why both didn't thrive).

If you are looking into receiving frozen embryos, check with your specific state and doctor office to fully understand the legal process there. Or you could use my doctor in Utah and follow Utah laws. I think embryos can be shipped.

Once Bernard Shaw was having a walk when some harum-scarum cyclist ran into him and Shaw fell to the ground. The cyclist was very sorry and came off his bike to help Shaw get on his feet. Fortunately Shaw was not hurt. The cyclist apologized to Shaw, but Shaw said, "I’m sorry that you are unlucky. If you had killed me, you would be known all over the world."

Hi Motor Bike Mom,

Congratulations on your successful IVF! Some of the replies you received were weird! I know embryos can be shipped as my friend had four embryos shipped from OK to TX. I would recommend anyone looking to receive embryos have their doctors office inspect the embryos when they arrive. My friend successfully had one beautiful child, but when looking to implant the other embryos the doctor's office told them the second vial was cracked. It was devistating news after they had planned on using those.

A good place to post your eggs for donation would be www.nrfa.org - They are a new business and charge a small fee for helping you find an adoptive family.

What an odd set of replies indeed. I'd be interested in being considered. If you are able, could you please send me a private message and I will share a bit more about me. I'd love to know more about you and your expectations.

Best regards!

Have you found a family to donate your embryos to? We live in AZ and are looking into doing this soon.
