Uterine issues

Postby Globetrotter » Tue Dec 27, 2011 2:47 am

Hi everyone,

I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer for on Dr.Google. What kind of uterine issues may lead to not being able to get pregnant, even with surgery?

A few years ago, my appendix leaked and caused my tubes to be blocked. It didn't occur to me until I started the IVF process that the infection could have caused other damage to my uterus. My saline sonogram is scheduled for next week so I guess I am going to find out... From what I read, scarring and such can be removed.

What kind of uterine issues are not 'fixable'? Thanks!

They look for Asherman syndrome. You can find more information on the site under infertility
Good luck
