Scared i mite b infertile

Postby kbudd83 » Sun Sep 12, 2004 4:02 pm

Hi to anyone that reads this.
I'm 20 years old and last october had a miscarriage. Since that happened i have felt empty and have really wanted a baby. But nothing seems to have happened. We have been trying since last december and i'm beginning to think that i'm infertile :(
I don't know wat to say to my husband and its killing me cuz my doctor says nothing can happen till we have been trying for a year or more. The worst part is my husband is being posted to cyprus nxt month so we will be out in cyprus when i am able to get tested to see if infertile which means i'll b on my own and will have to go through it all on my own. My husband will be there but he won't now wat i'm going through and i don't know wat else to.
Plus i think i mite not be ovulating.
Can anyone give me any advice :)
Thankx

Hi kbudd83

First thing is that you're not alone - now you've found this board, you've found lots of people who understand how you're feeling. We have girls on the boards from the UK, USA, Norway, Germany, Canada, Holland, Australia to name but a few .... so we'll just add Cyrus to the list ! :)

Secondly, if you post on the General Forum, you'll have many more responses, as that's where most of the girls go to.

I'm sorry to hear you had a miscarriage last year ... I can't imagine how much that must have hurt, as I've never been pregnant. It does prove though that you can get pregnant, so there's every chance it will happen again. There's a good book by Zita West called "Fertility and Conception" that's well worth a read. It will give you all sorts of tips re lifestyle, diet, how to improve your chances etc .... and is a good insight into how our bodies work, and signs to look out for. I'd thoroughly recommend you read it, and it'll give you something to focus on until you reach the 1 year mark. ... and who knows ? - you could have already achieved your dream by then :)

The good news is that age is on your side .... don't give up, and keep thinking positive.

i am so sorry for the loss of your child.
how far along where you ? do you know why you had a mc?
why do you have to wait to have some test done.
we just went in and talked with our docotor and he told us a good ivf clinic and they went and did alot of test.
