Hey ladies. Just wanted to let you know that Michaela Skye has arrive. She was born on the 19th at 2:55pm. Weighing 6lbs 3 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. She is a bundle of joy. I had told myself that I would not spoil this little girl and I just hold her all day. She is so precious and we are so thankful.

The day of delivery was pretty unevently. We got there about 10:50 and was scheduled for 1:00 delivery but doc goy tied up in another surgery so I was delayed a few hours. They took me back to the OR at 2:30 and 2:55 she arrived.

She is doing great. This is the best experience that I have had in a long time. I feel like a million bucks and have been up and walking around since the night of delivery. Literally no pain at all so far.

You can see pictures at http://michaelaskye.shutterfly.com/. We had so many family and friends there for the delivery. It was just great. It's best to view the file in slideshow view and click the button that lets you view the file in full page.

Hope you enjoy and I'll try to chat more tomorrow.

Lostgirl -- I'm wishing you the best. This whole experience have been nothing but wonderful and DH and I are truly enjoying our bundle of joy.

washingtonda- Congrats on a healthy baby. Nice shutterfly! It looks like Michaela has a lot of people who love her. It is also nice to finally put a name to your face. Michaela was almost exactly the same size as Ella. Ella was 6 lbs 3.5 oz and 19 and 3/4 inches long...pretty close huh? Enjoy your first couple of days with her.

Lostgirl- sounds like you are on your way. I hope full blown labor comes before induction day for you. Keep us posted.

I will try and post more later...I am running out to watch the patriots again, our sunday ritual...talk to you all soon.

Doreen - Congratulations to you and DH on the arrival of Michaela Skye. I couldn't load the shutterfly page (javascript failed to load the page correctly was the error message...any ideas?) but I'm sure she is beautiful! Enjoy these first wonderful days before the fatigue sets in ;)

Hope all is well with everyone else. Hang in there Lostgirl, I know it seems like you will continue to be pregnant forever but it is only a few more days.

Just checking in to see if there is any news for Lostgirl. I know you're close now even if they have to induce. Was hoping that you were with baby.

Last night was rough. Michaela evidentally didn't like her first night at home because she cried literally all night and have been sleep all day. When they sleep it is impossible to wake them up. We've been trying to keep her awake today but to no avail. I couldn't take another night like last night so I'm praying she'll do better.

We posted new pictures that were taken today on her website. She has changed so much in 4 days. Please go out there and take a look.

WashingtonDa,
I'm so sorry about last night. Sounds brutal. I do hope that the baby wakes and eats today so she won't stay awake all night tonight again. I've got to go run some errands, but will check out the newest pics later.

As for me, no baby yet. My due date was last Friday and we were thinking we'd do a scheduled induction on Sunday, but I'm getting cold feet. We have an appt tomorrow morning with the doctor and we'll ask her all sorts of questions then as to how long we can hold out to let the baby choose its own birthday.

My concern is that Pitocin intensifies contractions, and I want to try to do this naturally. Also I really liked the idea of laboring at home as long as possible before heading to the hospital, and well, obviously that won't happen if I get induced!

We shall see. Now that my sciatica's gone, all I've been doing is walking. Seriously. Past three days in a row I walked more than 5 miles. It feels great! That's the most surprising thing at this stage is how good I feel. Sure I cant sleep anymore. I pee every 30 min, but not having constant pain is kinda of a pick-me-up!

Wishing you a better night tonight with Michaela Skye and thank you for checking in on the slowpoke of the group...

Lostgirl - I keep checking the site for your big news. I know that you are trying to be patient but it must be tough. Hang in there. You will join the ranks of the sleep deprived soon enough....

Melissa,
Thanks for checking in on me! Had an ultrasound this morning and the baby is measuring (wait for it...) 9 pounds 8 ounces. Yup! Huge. But the baby's head is so low in my pelvis the docs think i'll be able to push him/her out. Amazing. Then again I am not a small girl.

Anyway, I've got some cramping and have had it for the past two hours. Upset stomach too. Maybe I'm in labor :)

It's so hard for me to tell!

Anyway, if I don't go into labor by Sunday then I'll be induced.

I'll post when I can... Lostgirl

Hey girls, It's the lone non-mommy among you. I'm sure you're all busy. Yesterday four hours of menstrual like cramping all added up to nada. And somehow in the last day I've managed to catch a head cold. Still can breathe fine, but my head is throbbing.

The good news? I think I lost my mucus plug this morning. Maybe I'll go into labor naturally before I can be induced ?

Lostgirl- I can't believe you have not had the baby yet. And over 9 lbs...god bless you! We are all praying for your natural labor prior to induction, I know how badly you want to go natural, so I will keep hoping for you all weekend. Be sure to keep us posted.

Washingtonda- I hope your nights have been a little better since your first night, sounds like it was rough. Hopefully Michaela has adjusted now and you are getting some sleep. Is dh home with you for a while to help? I am so lucky my dh was and still is, I don't think I could have done it alone. Even this morning, he took the baby and I didn't even know and slept until 11:30!

MLB, Elca- hope you doing well with your bundles! Give us updates.

Anyone ever heard from Cali?

Esperanza- How is your baby doing? How far along now and any new updates?

Well, Ella is one month today according to the calendar (4 wks and 3 days). I can't believe it, it was the fastest month of my life. She is doing very well. Up to 8 lbs, 5 oz at last dr's appt (4 weeks), which is why I cannot get over the size of your baby lostgirl! I think Ella is starting to smile. I know the drs and books say it doesn't mean anything until a couple of months, but there are times that she sees mommy and daddy and I swear she is smiling. I am going to get a tattoo in her honor today since my swelling finally went down. I am almost back down to my prepregnancy weight without even trying which means I was carrying almost all fluid. Of course my pre-pregnancy weight is still over weight, so dh and I have started a low carb diet again, which is going well so far. We were both very successful last time, losing almost 100 lbs each, and then we quit smoking and got pregnant and most of the weight came back. So we will try again.

I will talk to you all soon!

Lostgirl -- I am praying that you go tonight. Come baby come :D

CT -- Glad to hear that Ella is doing good. Michaela is doing much better. She had a doc appointment on Wednesday and when we told the doc what we went through the previous two nights, he assured us that she just had her days and nights mixed up. We knew that but we told him that we tried everything to wake her up during the day and it was almost impossible. Well he showed us several ways to get her up and it works like a charm. To answer your questions, yes DH is home with me and will be for 6 weeks. After next week he will be working three hours a day from home for the remainder of his paternity leave time. We both work for the federal government but he is a supervisor so they are really missing him right now. No matter how much he prepped before taking this time off, it seems that everytime he log on to his work computer there are 90 more emails than the day before. I guess it's nice to be so important but I wouldn't want it.

Esperanza I sent you a PM so when you get a chance, please take a look. I see from your ticker that you made it through to 12 weeks. I always set milestones. The first was the 12 weeks. The second was the 24 weeks which is when the baby is viable. The next was like 34 weeks where the survival rate was good if baby came early and than 37 weeks where I sorta felt like my duty was sorta done because that was full term. Again I am so happy for you.

MLB - I hope you and your new one are enjoying each others time. I am so full of love right now for Michaela it's just breathtaking.

Cali - Where are you? Please let us know that you are okay.

Elca - Hope you guys are settling in with Baby Lucy and things are going good. Please update us when you can.

As for me, my DH proved his love this morning. I had my first bowel movement post delivery and taking percicet (which doc told me was very constipating) and it was a nightmare. I was due at the docs this morning at 11:00 to have my staples removed and from 0830-1030 (at least) I was on the toilet. (Sorry for TMI) It was just there and wouldn't come. It was so bad and I felt so bad that DH had to put the gloves on. It wasn't pleasant but it worked after a few minutes and right now I feel like a new woman. I told Michaela she better always love her mommy to death (smile). Also I talk to the doc about whether my uterus and belly could handle one more c-section. Yes I think we may embark on this 22K journey one more time and I am so happy with Michaela right now I am ready to do it ASAP. Never in a million years would I have ever thought of having 5 children. My three oldest are 20, 18 and 17 so two are away in college and the other will be gone off to college next year. Doc said uterus looked good but he was concerned about that one annoying fibriod tumor that I had. He said if no other fibroids form he thought one more baby would be doable. So you girls look out for me later in the year with possibly embarking on this journey just one more time. We have also talked adoption so we may go that route instead. I guess when we are truly ready, the decision will come naturally. Doc did suggest giving my body at least 8 months to heal before even thinking of starting again and we do plan to do that. I'll be 40 next August and not sure if they will accept me into the Shared Risk program that we did before because I am now over the age limit. That may be the deciding factor on whether we will try IVF again or choose to adopt.

We'll I won't ramble on any more. Good luck to everyone and I hope you all have a great weekend.
