I am glad some of you are in the same boat, we are also considering #2 right after nursing Baby #1. Of course that also depends on if we are super overwhelmed or not. We really would love to have 2 kids. We don't have any frozen embies so we will have to do a fresh cycle once the baby is done nursing which we figure 6 to 8 mos. So we might all be in the same cycle again!!! Wouldn't that be cool to be in the same schedule again? I know we will cross that bridge when we get there, we still have a lot ahead of us! Jomae - you inspire me! Going through this with a toddler!

Hey girls
Hubby has been out all day today and i'm sooooo board were getting the garage slab poured tommorrow so he and his mates has been boxing up and its been raining on and off so ds and i stayed home. Our House should be definately finished by the time Katie is due mind you dh wants to move into our shed instead of wasting money on rent once the shed is finished i'm not looking forward to it at all.

I have my 2nd hospital appointment tommorrow just to check bub and hopefully meet the doctor i'll definately mention all the braston hicks i'm having i read they are meant to be stronger and more noticable with 2nd pregnancies something to do with the uterus being more relaxed i'm just not sure how often is normal and how many is too many or too long.

Anyones boobs getting bigger mine have stayed reasonably the same since the begginning but i've recently noticed there changeing and beginning to make colostrom. this maybe a silly question but if i was to start expressing would i be able to make milk now that i have colostrom weird i know i had so much trouble feeding ds and i'm definately paranoid this time so i'm on the hunt for any info it's so hard when you expect to be able to feed easily but it doesn't happen its not good at all.

I started seriously toilet training ds today he's 21months abnd just recently started telling me he's stinky when he does a wee so iv'e got things rolling, today he's managed to do a fluff and a pop on the toilet but no real action i guess hes getting the idea of pushing though

gee can you tell i'm board with the things i'm talking about

any way my bellies getting bigger and definately firmer and katie is starting to really pack a punch and i just can't eat anough which would be alright if i was craving healthy food but at the moment its plain scones with lots of butter anything unhealthy really. I figure i'm on a seafood diet (see food and eat it) again it's not good.

Hope your all well

Joame: I am in the same boat with those BH contractions. Not too bad today. Who knows what is normal. Good luck on the potty training! I hear boys are harder. Also, how do you know you are producing colostrum? I have noticed on my nipples (tmi anyone!?) that where there are now crack sometimes there will be dried yellow stuff; not a lot teeny tiny bits just in-between the cracks...is that it? My boobs are still the same size pretty much minus the dinner plates of areola haha.

Went to the dermatologist today and got 2 moles removed. One on the tummy and one on the arm. They had just gotten a lot bigger (which I asked if could be related to pregnancy). He said eh, well if they are bigger we will just take them off just in case. It was like he just wanted to come at me with a knife without really looking at them I suppose? I dunno. Better safe than sorry but still.

NO sleep last night. Husband went back to work from vacation and had to be in bed and asleep at 11PM So tried to join him. Mind you we have been going to bed between 1 and 3 AM. So did not sleep well. My hips for some reason KILL me! Then my back joins in...then if I lie on my back for a minute there is just too much dang weight haha. Only how many more months to go? Oh well it was WONDERFUL because at like 4 AM they were both going crazy with the kicking and it was so nice to feel. Pretty soon hopefully DH can feel them on the outside.

Just wanted to stop in and say hi. So many things going on, it would take forever to do personals
Corny- I feel so bad for you after all you have been through.

All is well here in KY. Aubrey Charlize is doing very well. I named her Aubrey and she is named Charlize after her Daddy's middle name (Charles). I am not telling the family her name. My husband's family is very rude and says mean things about all of our names that we would mention....so I just cut everyone out. I even had this one aquaintance tell me that one of our names reminded her of a prostitute. Can you believe the nerve? I go back to the perinatal doc on the 19th for another ultrasound.

My dd graduated from high school on Saturday and now she thinks she is grown and can do ANYTHING she wants. It's going to be a long summer. I get very little sleep most nights wondering what she is into. The worst part of my weekend was that my father didn't attend her graduation. He said he had work on his farm that had to be done. It really hurt the dd feelings. She didn't care that he gave here $100 dollars, she really just wanted him there. The only people that attended her graduation was her mother, sf, grandmother, aunt and cousin. All others, including her dear old dad didnt attend either.

oh well take care all

Suga- HAhaha! I'm having the same thing going on with my nipples too!! Is anyone else in the same boat? And have you asked your OB about it? I'm just guessing it's "a part of pregnancy".

We're having a girl!!! :D

She was so cute! She moved her little arms and legs. She didn't want to face the camera, though. She kept her face toward my spine. She is exactly the right size. One thing that was concerning was that they noticed a calcium deposit on her heart (echogenic focus). They told us it was nothing to worry about. They said that since our screening bloodwork/nuchal tests came back so good that we shouldn't worry.

I was there for over 3 hours. They had me walk around, drink water, go to the bathroom, they were hoping she would turn around. A special dr had to come in to look at the calcium on her heart and he managed to finally get the angle they wanted.

I am with you girls on the huge nipples. Mine have been so sore and getting a little darker, no discharge yet. I went from a 36 C to I think a 40DD, Pamela Anderson - watch out! My nipples are really sore too. my hips hurt when I try to sleep also, thank God for a tempurpedic bed otherwise it would probably hurt worse.

Suga - your belly is just too cute :D ! Mine seems bigger and I am not even carrying twins! Now I have to post one too!

Not much time to check in on everyone, but I promise I will go back and read up. Just wanted to let you all know that I will be having surgery tomorrow morning. They will go thru my tummy and with a laser sever all of the blood vessels that my babies are sharing. It should take about 2 hours and if all goes well, I will only be in the hospital for one night. Thanks again for all of the wonderful prayers. You all have helped me get this far and I just know your support and good wishes will continue to get Madison and Abigail through this. Stay tuned for an update on the other side of the surgery...

corny- Best wishes to you and your little girls tomorrow. I just know you will all pull though with flying colors! I think it is really cool that the Discovery channel wants to film it. You will have to let us know how that goes.

Mellie - Hooray for your little girl! Try not to worry about the u/s results. I have learned that when the doctors tell us not to worry about something, they really mean it. They will let us know when to be concerned.

cincinnatidreams - I know JUST what you mean about people saying mean things about names. We are naming our son Declan which is a very traditional Irish name and I was surprised how many people said rude things. I guess we just need to smile and carry on.

Jomae - Yep, I am having the same nipple stuff happening. It seems odd to me but is probably just part of them getting ready to do their job.

Rio - Looks like we will be cycling together for #2! I plan to do it again and shoot for a transfer for August of 2009. I am not getting any younger and since we still have four frosties, I want to have the kids as close together as possible.

I am finally on vacation!!!!!! I plan to get a lot of organizing done prior to painting our upstairs and nursery. Hopefully the painting will be next week. Then it is all about stocking the nursery.

It is hot here - finally - and I am going to take advantage of going swimming, to the movies, lunch with friends, and just hanging out. I am one of 5 pregnant women at my school all of whom will deliver between Sept. 15 - Dec. 15th. It is pretty cool. When the usual conversation started about what we were all doing for our summer breaks, we all responded with things like - growing a baby, or gestating. That is about all I am up for. I don't even miss doing a big vacation with DH.

Overall, feeling good. Hope you are all doing well.

Hello all
Corny sending you and your girls all the best wishes and will be watching for you to post your good news that all went well and that you looked fab for the cameras.

Mellie welcome to the growing list of girls sorry i have no input about the calcium deposit as i know nothing about it but as i always say if the doc said not to worry then DON"T WORRY all will be well. your ultrasound sounded like mine she had me up rolling around peeing trying everything to make her move

thanks Rio i got through to the photos this time

Suga nice babies bump your supporting there your about the same as me if not slightly bigger

Weezie the nipple thing is normal its meant to be colostrom thats why i wondered if you started trying to express would your milk come in Does your milk come in because there is some hormone or something released after the birth or does it come in through the stimulation of the milk ducts

I know of a women who stopped feeding for 6 weeks and pretty much lost her supply but she then had a milk line put in and was able to build back up her supply by the baby sucking and stimmulating the milk ducts so it makes me wonder.

I had my hospital appointment today i have another in 4 weeks to finally meet with the doctor i'm getting my records from the hospital ds was born at to determine whether i have to have a ceasar or if i have a choice in the matter. Mind you i'm not sure what is the lesser evil is having the pain after the ceasar or having the pain of feeling like my bits are been torn apart I'm such a chicken

Cin i know what you mean about the name thing it doesn't matter what you call bub somone will say they don't like it or this would be better thats why i say just pick somthing that sounds special to you and dh and thats all that matter. My ds was named something comepletely different for the first three days until i changed it pressure from the inlaws, but let me tell you it won't happen again

i hope everyone i havent mentioned is doing well and enjoying heir bumps

Take care Jomaexxx

Hi all

Corny- best of luck for a safe surgery today. my thoughts are with you and the girls

Cinci- hi!!! I have a cousin named Aubrey that graduated from HS last week- folks say the shittiest things sometimes to pregnant women!  it's as if they feel the need to engage no matter how inappropriate! I am certain it is not our heightened emotional state, either!!!!!
I was walking my dog the other day, and as I said hello to a neighbor who was sitting on his stoop, he says, "you're gaining some weight" I was like, um, excuse me????

and he said it again.... I turned and said, well, that is because I'm pregnant!!!!, and that is a completely inappropriate thing to say to anyone, especially someone whose name you don't even know, and for that matter, don't ever say such a thing to any woman - even if you think so, it is just plain rude!! and I walked away - now I know that he probably didn't mean it as an insult, and perhaps he was even suggesting I might be pregnant in his own way, but, sheesh!!! and this is not the 1st time I've had a neighbor tell me they noticed i was gaining weight - last year it happened twice - argh I was sooo mad- I was trying to get preggers, and was gaining about a pound each month I didn't. I wanted to say to her ( yeah, and you're looking pretty disheveled these days, and your daughter, the crack addict, still has that wacky lump-thingy on her forehead, how's that going????" :x  but I held my tongue each time, and said simply, yeah, thanks for noticing.
so now, I feel fat, am on the cusp of looking pregnant, but not quite there.

melllie congrats on the little lady!

gecko- woo hoo vacation!! lots of nice happy travel for you- have fun!!! and good on you for jumping right in for #2!!!

jomae- did you have a CSect with DS? was it scheduled? was there a problem? I have heard that you can go nat after CSect - also, don't underestimate the power of drugs!!! I think there is about a 50/50 chance for me to go nat- what with back fused together, and a weirdly angled pubic bone, but I'll give it a go

any of you doing birthing classes?? I guess I should start looking around to see what is offered a friend did the Bradley classes- don't know what that means....- Dh is a bit freaked out about the birth - he hates to see me in pain, and doesn't like blood, so things could get a bit freaky, but when the time comes, I hope he'll be ok

I snuck over to the blue stillettoes and saw that Sassy is bucking the trend and having 1 girl and 2 boys!!!!!CONGRATS!!!!!!!

rio- to be honest, if i was expecting a girl, i don't think i'd even be thinking about another, I don't know what we'll do- I'll be turning 40 and still in grad school when jr bean arrives, and since it is my insurance through the school that's footing the bill, i may try to sneak in 1 last go right at the tail end of school, but i'll be 41+ at that point and no idea how things will go. I am still really into adoption, and may go that route - I may also really be digging just 1 ? Dh is pretty sure 1 is good for us, but adoption or fostering might be a way for us to grow in a different way - so chalk me up to a great big Question Mark!

Tammy- how's it going? I worry about my pg twin!!!

Suga -yes, big dark areolas are the norm- seems the babies go for the big /dark spots, and it helps them find the boob to nurse-though i am pretty sure beanie could find these watermelons blindfolded! colostrum -the nutritious and antibody rich pre-breastmilk stuff starts coming in this month, and it is yellowy. It is good stuff to help the baby fight diseases, illness, etc- It's around for the 1st few days then it is on to lighter, whiter milk production.

not much to report, have my monthly tomorrow- been having tugging/pulling down the sides, and a bit of pulsing in the girl region, sure that's all normal. my hips are in a lot of pain, but they pretty much have been since back surgery, just a bit more sensitive.

anyone starting to walk funny????

take care
