Hi ladies. Glad to see everyones had great news, and I am so happy to add to it! My u/s today let me see the heartbeat for the 1st time!!! So exciting! 173 beats per minute-fast & strong the nurse said. I felt like I could breathe a sigh of relief if just for a second. Next u/s not for 2 weeks, I will try to just be happy & relax til then (yeah right) And hope that the 12 week window comes as fast as possible!! Best wishes & thoughts to all!!!!!!!!

Hi jennywit,
Congrats ! That is really a very good HB. I know what a relief it is to see your baby and hear the HB. But I don't know why reading all the posts everyday, I still fear whether everything will be ok. I also wish that with the flutter of eyes, the 1st trimester passes away.
Hi ladies,
Hows everybody doing? It seems very little is happening here. I know in this trimester when very little is to be done or written, we don't have much to post. Take care and enjoy your pg !

Hi Ladies:
I was wondering if I could ask you when you had your 1st u/s and saw the hb. My u/s is this Monday and I will be 6wks 1 day. My IVF coordinator said it will be a 50% chance that I will see the hb. Do you think I push it out a few days, or did you all see the hb at this time.
Thank you for the advice.

Hi ladies,
Well, I have yet another crazy update for you that my DH and I could not believe. Saturday, my grandmother died, and the doc brought me in on Sunday to check for the hb as they did not see it on Wed. I saw the hb on Sunday, and she said the spotting was probably from another sac that she saw that had attatched, but was empty.
Monday morning I am shopping in the mall for clothes for the funeral, and I literally start to pour blood...down my legs...my pants are soaked. I call the doc who says to come in immediately. I drop off my kids and fly over to the office. They do the sono, and this time they are quiet for a long time, and they finally see the hb, but they tell me that it is much more difficult to see than it was yesterday.
They send me to the radiology dept, because the machines are much better. At this point I have large clots literally falling out of me (sorry for TMI). I'm waiting for the DH to hit the floor. Doc starts the sono, and says the baby has a good hb (133) and looks good. She does see alot of blood both between AND around both sacs. She then says "you do know there are two sacs right?" We say "yes, but the 2nd one is empty". "No it's not empty, we have a hb of 113 on it. You could have knocked me off the table with a feather! So now, we have twins in there, :D but noone can figure out why I am bleeding from where I am, :? and I am told to stay on strict bed rest, forcing me to miss both wakes and the funeral.
Although the size of the second baby was measuring small 6w2d and I was 6w6d at the time, and the hr is slower than they would like at 113 instead of btwn 120-160, I know my grandmother has a hand in this, and I put my faith and trust in God knowing that he knows what is best. I also believe that my grandmother knows how upset I would have been at the wake and funeral, and I really believe this was her way of sparing me the heartbreak. Nothing else would have kept me from attending. Anyway, this is my 1st time out of bed, and I am on my way to the doc for a follow-up. I am still bleeding bright red, but it is only when I wipe.

Sounds like you ladies are all doing wonderfully! I have been thinking of you all, and was wishing the computer was next to my bed so I could keep up with you all.
God bless!

alreadyblessed- Wow, you poor thing, you have been through alot. First off, sorry about your Grandmother. 2nd, congrats on the twins.
I just wanted to drop in here and tell you that it is common to bleed like that with twins. I started off with twins and had the same problem, but to ease your mind, the bleeding had nothing to do with loosing one of my twins, it was just a coincedence. I explained it to my Dr that it was like a geyser. No warning or spotting b-4 hand. I went to put in my suppository and there it went. Shot out all over the floor, down my leg, was on my arm, down the side of the toilet (sorry TMI). When they did the u/s the bleed area was inbetween sac a and b, but they assured me it was not coming from sac b, as the baby's heart had stopped a few days before. They had no explaination at all. I've heard so many times this happening and both twins were completely fine.

I wish you and your little ones the best. Keep rested and drink lots and lots of water. I bled ike that for a little over a week and am still on pelvic rest, so be prepared to be on rest for a while.

Good luck!!!

Hi Ladies,
Hows everybody doing? I haven't got much to report. My m/s has almost subsided with the vit b-6. I am eating like every 2 hrs and still feel hungry. The only thing which bothers me is my backache while waking up in the morning but thank God, it is not there through out the day.

Alreadyblessed - You sure had a happening time. TWINS !!! Wow, I am so excited. It sure is your granny's miracle. I am so happy for you as you wanted to have twins. Don't worry abt bleeding, it will go away with time but you sure should take total bed rest. I know it will be hard with 2 kids but then you have 2 more coming. Goodluck with your followup! Wish your babies have a very very long and healthy life!

Kimmysq - I know 6w 1day is early and it depends upon your dr.'s machine. My dr usually calls for u/s after 6w 5 days when they say that you have to see the HB. So your dr. is correct. But tell your baby to have some action so that you can see the beating HB even though it is 6w 1 day. Goodluck for Monday !

Wow: Already blessed. That is quite a day you had. I would have been so scared with all that bleeding. I am so glad that it turned out well, and that you are having twins! I am sorry that you have to miss your Grandmothers funeral. It made my eyes mist with tears to hear your story, and how she had a hand in all this.
Please get lots of rest.

alreadyblessed: sorry you went thru so much craziness! it sounds like a bad ordeal...but the only great thing is that now you have TWINS!! :D...enjoy the bed rest altho' its hard some times.. and have DH pamper you a bit. Hope they find the bleeding source...i too have a bloot clot which i hope doesn't act up.

Amazu: i have less m/s this week too after hitting 7 wks...but i'm eating plain foods, just went to get some saltines, V8, and chicken soup..

kimmysq: i'm glad that ur doc told you about the 50%...mine just did the u/s, but thank God we saw the hb at 6wks 3 days...i would have freaked out otherwise. i think you'd probably be able to see it by this time, but not hear it...i think hearing it with a doppler comes at 7-8 wks...

Sonu: how are you doing/feeling?

Jennywit: congrats on the wonderful hb...bet it must be a great relief...i too can't wait for wk 12 - tho' it seem so far away :D

Already blessed, congrats on the twins-also I can tell you that my little one measured 6 wks 4 days at 6 wks 6 days-my doc said that as long as there was a hb-and that the baby had grown since the week b4 that there is no reason to be concerned-that nothing is a perfect science & that they all grow at different rates-the important thing is that they GROW!!!!Baby loves...thanks for the hello & continued best wishes to you too!!!!

Hi All my preggo friends!!

Alreadyblessed - No news can be as shocking and exciting as yours, what a pleasant surprise. I can imagine what would you have experienced at that time. Indeed, its a blessing of the great soul that your grandmother was and your undoubted faith in God. I am so happy for you and may God bless you and your lovely twins. Don't worry abt the size and the heartbeat, its too early and now it just has to keep getting better. Just continue your belief in God and yourself. Just rest well with your feet up.

Jennywit - Congratulations on the fab news on the heartbeat!! Excellent rate!! Yay, grow baby grow.

Kimmy - Your coordinator is right, my baby's heartbeat could be heard only in the 8th week. 7th week could be a little bit early, but I have seen people hearing the heartbeat that early. So you have to ready for both the scenarios, don't be disheartened if you don't hear it on that day, it might be just a matter of another week. All the best!!

Amazu - Great to hear that your m/s has subsided. Mine is so unpredictable, and headache is one thing which troubles me the most.

Babyloves - How is it going dear? Thanks for checking on me. I am in my 12thweek and just waiting for next Friday when I go for u/s, and I was briefed by my cousin who just delivered as to what to expect on that day.
Needless to say I am so excited, will try to record the u/s.
I read on the other thread, (sry for spying!!) that you haven't told your MIL about the good news, how difficult that would have been!! But I think we should just believe our instincts and go by it, tell only when you both are ready to share. How is your m/s?

Hugs to all
and yes,,,GROW BABIES GROW!!!

Hi,
Can I join this group? My due date is April 20 but we may be getting three little ones...in that case, I will probably give birth sooner than expected. My ultrasound for the first hb is scheduled for Aug 29...looking forward to that. I am a bit surprised/scared (my age, finances, work) and super happy at the same time.
Alreadyblessed, sorry for the loss of your grandmother...stress is a risk factor so I hope you find strenght to remain calm and grateful.
Best wishes to all,

Hi Ladies,

Literatriz - Welcome to the group and congrats ( x3) for your triplets. It must be exciting. I see that you are from USA but had your ivf in Brazil. Howcome? Is it cheap there? How are the drs there? They must be good thats'why now you are pg with triplets, silly of me! Don't worry of anything and just enjoy the pg and its symptoms. I bet you will have more than us. Goodluck for your u/s on 29th.

Sonu911 - You must be excited to be out of this 1st trimester fear. I wish my time also flies fast. Sorry to hear abt your headache. They must be having some medicine to give you during pg in India. It can also be due to hot climate and humidity or may be due to acidity. As for my m/s, I was good for a week with the b-6 but this weekend it was worse. So from today I have stopped taking the pills.

Alreadyblessed - Hope you are keeping well! Take total rest and it is good that your comp is not with you. Otherwise you would be busy on it and not take rest. But I know it is very boring to stay on bed all the time. Who is taking care of your kids and puppy as I think your dh has to go to work?

I hope everybody had a nice weekend and keep updating us abt yourself and how you are doing? Goodluck again to everybody!
Annie

Hi again ladies!
Seems the only time I can get to the computer these days is directly after a doctors appt. Other than that it's horizontal for me. Well, My grandmother was buried on Wed, and on Thurs at 9am they told me that baby b's heartbeat had stopped. I was sad, but felt like that baby went with my grandmother. Baby A was measuring a day ahead 7w3d and I was 7w2d, with a hr of 158. All is well, except for this darn bleeding. I swear if I could suspend myself upside down I would. The bleeding was like a period, but nothing like Monday. Then all of a sudden Saturday, it was like a repeat of Monday again....gushing, pouring and clotting. Only this time I was cramping also. I was figuring it was my poor baby b. By Sunday, I was back to the same bleed I had all week.
Saw the RE today who said that the baby looks very good, but he is very concerned that I am continuing to bleed, and he really doesn't know why. He has consulted with my OB, and I will be seeing him tomorrow or
Thursday. I am hoping he has some answers for me.

Dakota~Thanks for all the info. It sounds like I am experiencing pretty much the same thing that you went through. I hope I have the same positive outcome. You ladies are a wonderful support system!

Amazu~ I'm really glad your m/s is subsiding. I know it's not much consolation, but since I don't have m/s, I have a tendency to gain up to 13lbs in my first trimester. No fun. hang in there, just a little longer, and you will be past it, and feeling wonderful!!

Kimmysq~ Thanks so much for your heartfelt words. They meant alot to me. By the way, I had my first sono at 6w1d, and nothing, then at 6w5d, and there was the HB. Don't panic if you don't see it on the first u/s. Turns out after all my stressing, the equipment DOES have alot to do with it. Good Luck!

Babyloves~ Trying to enjoy that bedrest. DH is doing the best he can, but when I got up to go to the docs this morning I could have sworn there had been a party in my house that I wasn't invited to! He did
clean up though, I just wonder how long he will be able to keep it up.

Jennywit~tried to keep that outlook about the baby being smaller, but it just wasn't in Gods plan. I try to stay focused on the positive right now and just keep pushing forward. Congrats on your great HB!!!!

Sonu~ still hanging onto that faith, and knowing in my heart that I will see that baby again. So many things this week have tested my faith, and then, so many other things have come along to help me understand. I am hanging in there, and I know that all will be ok.

Literatriz~ Welcome, and many congratulations!! I will be praying for you and your multiples :D ! Hope you are feeling well. I am trying to remain stress free with everything going on. Some days easier than others. :?
