Cramps after ET?

Postby Sisi1 » Fri Mar 27, 2009 3:46 am

Hi all,

I have just finished my first treatment and had ET yesterday (2, day 5 blasts) morning.

I have been feeling a little bit crampy all day, is is possible I am feeling implementation cramps?

My hubby is laughing at me and calling me crazy but I know what I am feeling is not imagination!

I never ever cramped before in the middle of a cycle but I have never been preggers before so I don't know what to look out for.

Please share your experiences......I have a very long way to go until beta, April 08/09
41, unexplained (plain old) fsh 4.7
DH 55 lots of good swimmers
3xclomid BFN
First and last IVF:
A) canceled due to low response on day 3
B) Negative beta April 06/09

Hi Sisi.
My last IVF cycle I started cramping about an hour or two after transfer and it didn't ever stop and it was a BFP. After our transfer, dh and I went to get something to eat (that re didn't require bedrest). And as we were sitting there, I started cramping and thought I better go home and rest and just assumed it was from the procedure itself. I didn't even think it was possible to cramp that early from implantation but I guess you can because like I said it never did stop.
Good luck!

you know your body better than anyone. so if you think you feel something, I am quite sure you do...tell your dh to lay off!!! I didn't have blasts, I had 3 day embies transferred, but I can tell you I really didn't feel anything until well after by postive beta.

Send lots of baby dust your way and Good Luck!!

I felt absolutely nothing the first two tries, which were both BFN's. This time around I have had off and on cramping the whole time, and it's a BFP! Keep in mind that the cramping could still be from the procedure itself, and the egg retrieval. Your ovaries are still swollen, and there are a lot of hormones coursing through you!

It's hard not to focus on every little twinge in your body right now and wonder what it means, but the best advice I have is to try and do things that keep your brain too busy to dwell on it all the time or you'll go crazy. Realistically, you're still going to dwell on it MOST of the time... but the more you can distract yourself the better.

Good luck!! :)
