Fetal HB

Postby may2010 » Mon Oct 05, 2009 8:54 pm

Well! the HR is 135 and the age is 7wk 1day

We had US today and as I have written before I was very skeptical. My hubby was so nervous that he didnt even come with me inside.

After she put the probe inside, I was waiting for her words but i think she turned the mic on and the whole room was filled with a rapid heart beat sound.

I said " Is that mine or ......" And she told the the words that are still tingling my ears.

The Doc said that everything looked fine. I had 3 ovums out of that one doesnt have anything inside. One appears to be 5wk 1 day but they couldnt see a HB and they have called me again after 2 wks to see if it grows.

Thank you all for your prayers and support. Even you might not know me and think you may have done nothing to help me.But believe me you all have been my secret angles and prayers that I have carried with me.

God bless!

Now you can believe that you are reallty pregnant and let the good news sink in xxxx

Hello everyone,

I had another U/S this morning and everything looks great with the Triplets. They are 8 wks 3 days with heartbeats of 169,163 and 158. They even have arms and legs now..not just blobs anymore. I had an irritating situation with my RE. The ultrasound tech was 99% sure that the identicals have their own placentas, which she said is the best case scenerio. She went and told the Doctor this and then we go in with him and he says they are sharing a placenta. We then go back to the tech and ask again and she confirms what she said before and that the Dr was probably confused. He also was confused about what medication I am still on. I am SO gld that was my last appt with him as I feel he is totally incompetent. these things are nothing to be confused about!

Have a great day everyone!

Faith

Thanks gi
He has been under so much stress that he said he just couldnt stand to hear another disappointing news. He waited outside chewing his nails.....he was called by a staff who didnt say anything(he said later that he didnt have the courage to look at the perons face) and by that time I had already dressed up and was waiting in the doc's chamber.

It was ironic that as soon as seeing me........ he hugged me.......... and the same moment the tech gave me the US picture ....and he knew.....He cried a lot right there.

Hi Everyone,

May2010 - That is a very touching story indeed. Sometimes we have to be the stronger ones in the relationship, I think. My husband has now started to be excited as well but he was quite skeptical, trying to prepare himself for another let down, when we originally found out. Seeing the heartbeat helped him be more positive.

Gi - Look, I love watching yout ticker increase. Wonderful that we have made it this far :)

AFM - I had a little scare last night with some bleeding, red spotting for about 2 hours. I did go to my OBGyn today and he indicated the baby is fine and all is well, strong heartbeat, etc. I am now on sick leave until Sunday to stay home and rest, not stress too much, and ensure that the bleeding was not related to stress. My OBGyn also mentioned that sometimes IVF babies an be up to a week behind schedule, specifically if they implanted a little later. Has anyone of you heard this before? It appears ours is a few days behind in evelopment, but nothing concerning according to the doc.

Hi Everyone,
I wrote a whole long posting with personals and everything yesterday and by the time I clicked submit, my session had timed out and I lost it all! I was too tired to re-type the whole thing.

hope- I just got my flu shot. Still no word on the H1N1 vaccine here in Illinois. My doctor advised me to get both. I was told to ask for the preservative free version of the shot, since the regular one contains a preservative that contains trace amounts of mercury. I've been eating weird too! I saw someone on TV eating Ramen Noodles and it was all I could think about, so I bought some (haven't had those since college). They were like the best thing i've ever eaten!

Lucky-That is a scary episode. I am glad to hear that everything is okay with the little one.

May- That is a very touching story, indeed. I understand how you felt about the heartbeat, it brought tears to my eyes the second they played it and it really made it feel so real.

Faith and mjay- Either of you going to the baby and family expo in Schaumburg at the Renaissance hotel this weekend? I was thinking about it, just to see what it was all about.

gi- how are those wristbands working for you? Still doing their job?

AFM- Not much new here, hit the 9 week mark today and I go in on Friday for another u/s. By noon at work, most days, i'm so tired that I want to just curl up and go to sleep. I can't wait for the second trimester so that I have some more energy. Anyone told their bosses yet? I still haven't, even though it's pretty obvious. I put on a sweater this morning and laughed because it's totally obvious i'm pregnant.

Hi JG,

Good question. How is everyone handling the "telling at work". I wanted to inform the female partner at our law firm on Monday but then got the jitters and cancelled the call. Mine has to be done over the telephone as I am the supervisor of our department here and everyone else sits in London. Not an easy task to get up the nerve when you cannot see the person you are talking to. However, I feel that waiting until week 15 (when I am over in London next) would be detrimental and dishonest.

Morning ladies,

Jogrego if you are reading this a big Hi from me. Your friends ivf journey is very similiar to mine - 6th attempt 2mths with frosty!!! Glad to hear you are back again in Nov i will keep an eye out for you xxx

Luckyone so glad to hear your baby is ok very scary time for you, I have had a tiny bit of brown spotting last friday and yesterday it was very small but annoying! I have heard that you can be + or - a few days on the size of your baby.

JG havent worn the wrist band since last thurs as eating every 2 hrs has helped though for the last 2 days it hasnt been as bad. My boss knows i am pg as its difficult to take time off for the ivf and after doing 6 tries it was much easier to tell him instead of coming up with excuses to be absent. You must be so excited about your little bump!!

Wolfie i read of the great news that your baby is ok - you must be so relieved.

AFM we have had devasting news in our family, my cousin and his wife were induced on Tues. there was lots of complications during the birth, the baby was over 10 pounds her shoulders were stuck and unfortunatly she was under too much stress, she passed away that night. It may be a case of neglect on the doctors parts as they didnt check her properly when she said she was ready to give birth a post mortem and inquest is been carried out. The funeral is tomorrow dont know how i will handle seeing a little white coffin. God bless them, just cant imagine their pain.
Sorry to write such sad story I pray it never happens to any of us. Until i have my baby safetly in my arms i wont relax.

Gi-

So Sorry for your family That is so sad. It's amazing that sort of thing can still happen with modern technology.

My heart goes out to them.

Gi: So sorry for your loss! :(

Well, I officially "graduated" today . . . Had my u/s with my RE . . . heartbeat was 160 and I got to see the little guy's head, arms, and legs . . . well, they were more like little stubs, but I saw them! It really looked like a baby! Anyway, I have progesterone for two more weeks and in the meantime, I am off to the OB! Yay! Next appointment is at the end of the month . . . :D
