Hi Ladies and Your big and little bumps

I have been part of this site for a while now and I have been through the 2ww and all the other agonies of Ivf with some of you and I am happy that unlike me you have made it.

I don’t visit this part of the site very often because it’s painful to think about due dates and it could have been me, but I like to come over now and again just to remind myself that it can work and to be determined to continue with treatment.

Loony loonpants I felt a bit disgruntled about your Psycho women who hates all women and Children line in one of your postings because it made me think about myself, am I a psycho because I cross the road if I see a mother and baby? or am I just protecting myself from feeling hurt? You see my problem is, that the media love to portray women going through fertility treatment as barking mad who would snatch a baby as soon as look at it. Infertile women should be labelled “Strong and Tough” for having to put up with fertility treatment in the first place not “Psycho” because they avoid what they can’t have through no fault of their own.

We are all different and deal with things in our own ways some days I can do babies and some days I can’t.

I am not picking on you loony and I am glad things have worked out well for you, now you are back in the UK.

Right I am back off to my own side - but it is nice to know you are all doing fine.

Love to the bumps
Lucyx

Lucy

How could you ever think that I meant to offend you or anyone else for that matter? You should know me better than that. I do think that I probably used the wrong word but hey this is the first time I have upset someone in over a year of being on this site so am I forgiven? I'm not saying that I don't avoid some women who have kids but not all of them and although you feel very strongly about this, everyone has their own ways of coping with childlessness and I'm sorry if you took my comments personally. I think when I said psycho I didn't mean those who avoid pain I think I meant those that add to pain by snatching babies, wishing nasty things on anyone who has what they haven't got.

Anyway before I dig another big hole for myself I will apologise one more time and hope that you accept my apology.

Lisa(Loonpants)

Hi loony

No aplogy needed and I was far from being upset.

Just my thoughts in a email.

I just have a bee in my bonnet about infertile women/men being labeled as some sort of crazy. It's the medias fault as they do it all the time.

Besides it's good to look at yourself and think about how you are getting through such an emotional situation as IVF. Which is what I did.

Hope your job is going well and your enjoying it.

Love
Lucyx
