Claudia – Yeah for reaching 37 weeks!!!!! It seems like yesterday that you and I were cycling together and you got you BFP and we have both almost made it! Good luck for your photo shot today. You are such a beautiful person inside and out so I know you will take excellent pictures. No, I will find out tomorrow after my complete u/s if I need to be on bed rest in the hospital or not. I certainly hope I can last at work until Thanksgiving but if not I am ok with that too.

Franca – When you say period like symptoms, do you mean cramping? If not, exactly what symptoms are you experiencing? I agree with the ladies that you should call and mention it to your OB. It is better to be safe than sorry. I felt those symptoms every once and awhile especially after moving around a lot but I always mentioned it to my OB anyway.

PA-FA – Good luck with your OB appointment this week and I hope they do not find more protein in your urine either. During my last appointment on Monday, the OB said I had some protein in my urine also. So I hope I get good news tomorrow too. Take your time with your nursery as it can be a little overwhelming to clean and move things around. Oh and yes I have a stuffed up nose every evening and morning when I wake up. The stuffy nose is due to all of the progesterone that we have in our bodies because of the pregnancy. You can use a vaporizer at night if that helps to prevent your nose from becoming so stuffed up.

Gi – Jason is just too funny. It is so nice to hear how excited he is for Kayla’s big day. Maybe all of the coaching and talking will spark something and she will decide to come soon!

Katie – I hope you are doing well and enjoying Ryan!

Stephanie – how are you feeling? Hopefully, you are beginning to heal.

Sara – I hope your BP has come down nicely by now.

AFM – Well, I am trying to wrap everything up for work as much as possible in case I get the news tomorrow that I am done with work until after my maternity leave but there is just too much work to do. I think I will just have to say forget it until later. As soon as I complete something, it seems like something else is pops up and needs to be completed.

gi - thanks so much for your note.... I don't really feel much different although my betas are great. I did have my first real bout of being REALLY tired today and not feeling 'well'... but nothing really extreme. First time I've wanted to lay down and have a nap to be honest. The compliment about writing a book is very sweet.... I've gotten a lot of requests and have thought about it... sort of a handbook for women who go through miscarriage, infertility, etc... I'm kind of waiting for a happy ending before I give it a lot of thought. ;)

I was induced with both of my boys (actually scheduled with the second but went into labor at the hospital) so I know what it's like to know when you are going to have the baby. LOL I hope that I get to do the middle of the night panic thing and freak the hell out of David. It'll be summertime so it's not like there will be nasty roads or anything. We are literally less than three minutes from the hospital.

Sonya - I didn't really ever get a lot of symptoms. With my singleton pg I had nothing at all, with the twins I has a little nausea that went away after I ate and that was about it. I think it just depends on how your body handles the prog, some are more sensitive than others. I am so happy that your numbers are looking so great, I have high hopes for the us!!! :)

Angela - Go ahead and take it easy... don't stress too much over work. :) I am feeling more and more normal every day though I get these sharp pains from time to time and get sore from tinme to time. Over all I think I am doing well. :)

Gi - Jason is hilarious. I can just see him doing that when Kayla is older too... bribing her with shoes and clothes. lol How funny! The whole "can happen anytime now" feeling is pretty exciting. I was hoping myself for something spontanious, but was relieved to have the date in the end. I am trying to work on a routine, but somethimes the twins have their own idea of what should happen and when. lol Nights are the roughest when Andrew has to work since I am on my own, but other than being tired, I think I am doing pretty well. :)

Pa - Sorry to hear about your boredom, at least you have things to get done to keep you a bit busy. As for your question... I was stuffy almost my entire pregnancy. lol It started in the first tri for me and didn't stop until after delivery. It's amazing how many symptoms just stop immediately after birth!

Franca - The pains could be growing pains, could be a nerve or baby stepping on an ovary. lol If it goes away with some pain meds I think you are just fine and have nothing to worry about. Of course if you have any concerns you can always call your doctor. :)

Claudia - You are another one who we could see giving birth at any time now. How exciting?? So the bag is packed and you could be starting to dialate! Can't wait to hear the news on if you are or not. As for Andrew, he won't get a promotion while in this unit so we have to wait for orders to come down for him to become a recruiter. Once he gets there, he will get promoted right away but until then, it's nothing but a waiting game.

Hazel - Miss you! Hope George is behaving. Is he sleeping through the night yet? I think I will be happy once the twins go 6 hours. lol

Katie and Babyluv - I hope you both got released and get to settle in with those gorgeous babies!

Sara - How are you and your precious little ones doing?

AFM - Well, nights are rough with Andrew having to sleep at nights. Having to do it all alone with two crying babies with little sleep all the while looking over at him sleeping peacefully is no fun. It isn't that I am mad at him for sleeping because I know he has to or he will be a zombie for work, it's more jealousy. I get help on the weekend, but the whole super dad seems to have left him now that he is back to work. At least he helps still, right? Angelina has a new thing where she likes to get tempermental. I think she just takes after her dad. lol It's almost cute though to see her get irritated over things like hiccups or mommy or daddy not holding her tight enough or rocking her. She loves to be rocked. She is definately demands more attention than Ethan. Ethan is just so laid back and can just lay there and stare at you and/or anything his little eyes can see. I am still in awe every time I look at them... I don't think that will go away any time soon, if ever! :)

For everyone effected, I hope you remembered to set your clocks back for daylight savings time!

Hello ladies – Well, I finally made it back from my u/s, NST, & OB appointment. Her stomach is still measuring a little small for her gestational age but there has been some growth since my last scan two weeks ago. It grew from 7% to 10%, so they will still keep monitoring me to make sure she is still growing and that means no bed rest for now. I was so happy to leave the hospital with my DH and to know she is at least growing. So, they told us that she now weighs 4 pounds and 2 ounces! Thank you ladies for all of the encouragement! Oh, my high risk OB is starting my plan to be induced in 5 weeks! YEAH!!! :D

Hi everyone -

I missed you guys so much. Sorry that it took me so long to post, but its been a long week and the c section recovery has been pretty slow going, but getting there. We came home on Sat afternoon and I've been trying so hard to stick to the bed rest but its too exciting to finally have Ryan in my arms so I seem to be getting up for each change & feeding. Chris has been so amazing at fatherhood, I cant get over it, he's better than me at swaddling and burping already, he is so in love with this little guy it takes my breath away, poor guy has barely gotten any sleep since I went to the hospital to be induced. He was back & forth to be with me, then home to take care of Gracie for days without complaint and yes, the house was clean (to my standards) when we came home! I wanted to post yesterday but I was sucked into the tornado of a new baby at home and the sheer awe of just watching him breathe and fuss around, he already has made some funny faces at us, I swear that one one them was definitely " are you kidding me, people?" when the two of us couldnt get him to burp. Ryan is pretty alert and I suspect that has to do with his size, but he looks all around and follows us with his eyes. And as for Gracie? She is one happy dog. She was upset the first night home when Ryan cried, she would get all anxious and run to the nursery, she gets right in ihs face and ends up pushing his head in her attempt to kiss and sniff him - its too funny to watch, because Ryan will push his arm out to Gracie as if to say - "ok, enough already, dog!" And he has some sighing and almost a smirk face when the bottle doesnt come quick enough, and since he's such a great eater and up to 2.5 - 3oz each time - FOOD is to be BROUGHT ASAP! He was 8lbs 12 oz and only went down to 8lbs 7 oz after birth so he's doing really great. I cannot believe how blessed we are to have him and to have him be so healthy. I'm still doing the after c sect shuffle, I feel like an old man shuffling around hunched over, but it was worth every single moment of pain. I dont want to scare anyone but Steph was totally right about me having some drama at delivery -

We went to be induced at 7am and by 8am the OB broke my water and holey moley did I make a mess for them! Who knew that once your water breaks the body continues to make more amniotic fliud? I didnt know that. My L & D room looked like a fancy hotel suite so yay for that, but more important than that was that the entire staff was so on top of everything, I was scared and nervous and they went above and beyond to make me feel safe and completely well cared for. My poor nurse had to rechange the entire bed 5-6 times during labor because every time I contracted more water would come pouring out,and the whole bed was soaked. I kept apologizing and she was so good about it. So by 11am I was dilated to 3 but the conractions were reading as strong and even so they did my first epidural, which took great and I had no pain until about 6 when I started to feel the contrax again, they checked me and I was only up to 5cm dilated, so the OB wasnt too happy, he said we'll see in 2 more hrs, well by 7pm, I was in a lot of pain and they checked my back and realized that I had sweated so much that the epidural catheter had come out and the tape was all off, so they put a new one in, but it didnt take very well and I still could feel pain. At 8pm the OB checked and I hadnt changed at all so he said "thats it, its a c section". If Ryan was in distress they never told me, but they sure were in a big hurry to get me to the OR, they got Chris dressed and ready but had him wait outside, the OB started to poke me and WOW! I screamed and said I FEEL THAT! So he did it again and the drape was in place so all I could see was the ceiling and he did it again and asked " is it sharp or blunt"? each time I said sharp meaning capped scapel or blunt meaning his fingertip. I got a little panicky at the thought of being cut open while awake and feeling everything! Who wouldnt, right? and then it all went really fast with them rushing to get me under general anesthesia which meant that Chris had to get kicked out of the OR. When I woke up they were trying to get my BP down since it was so high 200/152 was the highest I heard of. So I was in the OR for awhile and when they finally got it to come down we went back to the room and there was Chris holding Ryan and crying. I burst in tears too, I was soooo emotional and then I got to hold him for a minute and I cant explain how it made me feel. After two years of IVF and failed tries, to finally have this little miracle to hold was an surreal experience. the only bad thing was that Chris not being allowed in the OR so he didnt get to cut the cord, or get pics of everything and us. A nurse took some pics for us, but it wasnt the same as Chris getting to see everything. The next day was so painful, thank God for Percoset! i'm still pretty still and way swollen ( I look 6 months pg still ) and walking bent over, but it was worth every single tear, disappointing response, all the debt, and pain to have this this little one. I cant get over the fact that 10 months ago Ryan was a microscopic speck in a cryo tank somewhere until my RE gave us this miracle. And umm, yes the hormones will just pour out of you after delivery cause I'm bawling just writing this right now. I'll post more pics and now that I've written the big post, i'll be around more to hear about my girl's stories, cause you all mean alot to me. We've all gone through so much to get to have our babies and talking with you girls every day has made it so much easier to take. I think of you guys and love you all. Hugs & prayers to us all - xoxoxoxo

Babyluv - I'm so happy that your twin girls are out safely and happy to hear that you are doing well. I hope that you're healing quickly and are thrilled to just look at your 2 little miracles. Post when you can, but please try to do better at bed rest than I've been  . its so hard to not jump out of bed and snuggle them every time they make a sound, though isnt it? CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!

Steph - Oh honey I missed you alot! How are the super cuties doing? You were right as usual, it must have been one of your feelings, about the drama, but with him here now - i'd go through it all over again. But Whew! was I happy that he tested my anesthesia level first! When he poked me and i felt it? I almost lost it, its like a Stephen King movie or something - surgery that you could feel - ACCKKKKKKK!!! So Angelina has hiccups often? Ryan had them last night and I couldnt find anythinf in the book about what to do to stop them, I just rubbed his back and kissed his head til they stopped. Maybe she'd do ok with a different formula? And good for Ethan to be so laid back, he's a little bigger than Angelina, so maybe when she catches up a little she'll have an easier time? I feel for you on the sleep jealously issue, honey, with 2 babies to care for all day by yourself? You're a damn rock star! as they grow you'll get more sleep - itws just the surviving until that happens, right? Much love to you all - xoxoxo

Gi - You're next mama! Jason is a riot! He's going to be so adorable to watch taking care of little Kayla, and dont forget to remind him that poopy diapers were all on him, werent they? haha. How are you feeling these last days? I wasnt the happiest the last few days of pregnancy, but it will go pretty quickly and then you get to the good part - Kayla! much love to you , J & your Mam - xoxoxo

Claudia - I cant wait to see how your photo shoot went. You'll have such great pictures to remember this all by. And I'm sure that Lincoln will be just like Gracie and be all about the baby too. How are you feeling mama? it wont be long now. You must be dying to find out what you've got in there, I know I am! Whatever team Flick is doesnt matter though, does it? It only matters that you'll soon have him / her in your arms - SOON! - xoxo

Angela - Yippee for Gabriella moving up to 10%! Thats wonderful news! I was so hoping that she would be growing just as she should and that you wont have to worry about her. Because you know as much as we try not to worry, you just cant help it sometimes. So they'll just continue to monitor you and in just 5 more weeks, she'll be here? I cant wait, and I know you cant either. I'm so glad that you had good news today. And what a great weight, 4.2 lbs  She'll be telling you what to eat soon. I think thyats all Ryan did the last few weeks in utero was send me food cravings that reminded me of ordering room service. Umm, tonight will have to be spaghetti with meatballs. Towards the end, I swear he only wanted red sauce and pasta, too funny. OK, it wont be long for you now, is the nursery totally done? How are you feeling at work? I hope that you're still trying to go slow and rest up when you can. - xoxo

PA - Yes, Chris was crying too, and I think of Dr Rose every single day, it it werent for him being who he is, I wouldnt ever have had this chance. i'll send him pics ans was thinking we'll have to drive out there soon to say hello and show him the baby. If I think we could do this without tears, I'd be lying, I'll be bawling the whole time. I'm sorry that you're feeling bored, but you wont be for long. And its better to get the nursery done early before all the discomforts set in and bending becomes a memory. Other than that how are you feeling? I had a stuffy nose and clogged ears the whole time, but nothing in the chest, definitely ask your OB about that. - xoxo

Lou, Tammy,Ronda, Sonya, Chris, Jamila - Thanks for the well wishes, I'm still recovering, but I'm getting better each day, and I'll be back to stalking all of you soon. I want to see everyone get their dreams in their arms and I'll be here to cheer you on all the way. Never give up, look how close I was to giving up when my RE changed it all? I didnt see that coming. And I want you all to get the babies you so very much have fought for. Much love to all of you - xoxoxo

Katie – I am so happy to hear from you! I loooove the pictures too! You three will make a beautiful family! I am glad that Chris is really getting the hang of things with Ryan but I have to admit I am not surprised. He has been pretty supportive throughout your pregnancy. I became teary eyed after reading your story and I can’t wait to feel the same joy!

Yes, I am glad that your OB checked to see if you could feel anything also. It sounds like you were in good hands and they did what they had to do so Ryan would be healthy. Yikes, about your blood pressure but I am glad that it finally came down! I hope you do take it easy because it is difficult to get around after the c-section. I too know how you feel after my ectopic pregnancy because of my bilateral abdominal surgery (laparoscopic surgery) but ended up being two semi-long cuts.

Thanks for the words of encouragement about Gabriella … I will keep my eye on the prize of her delivery in the next 5 weeks!

Stephanie – I know you are sleep deprived and I am sure it has been a strain since Andrew went back to work but I know you and the babies will finally find your synch and everything will seem natural.

Franca – I am glad that you are feeling better. Please remember to take it easy.

Jamila – Thank you so much for the encouragement! Yes, I hope the next 5 weeks goes by fast. How has the nausea been for you lately? Hopefully, you are starting to feel better by now.

Babyluv, Sara, Hope Hazel, & Riley – I hope you ladies are doing well and enjoying your babies!

Gi – The countdown for you is on! According Katie’s chart, you are next then Claudia and then me … whoo hoo!

Claudia – I hope you enjoyed your weekend!

Natasha – Your classes should be coming to an end soon and I know you will be very happy!

PA_FA – I hope you enjoyed your weekend!

Angela - So glad to hear that everything looks good with your little girl! Five weeks! I remember when we set my c/s for 5 weeks and I was sooooo excited! Ended up making it 4 of those weeks, but it gave me lots of time to get things done...most of it in the day or two before their birth!

Katie - Wow, I am SOOO glad everything turned out ok in the end. WOW what a story! Our experiences were so different but both ended with beautiful babies. Ryan is doing amazing eating so much already! He is almost twice the size as each one of my girls!! Awesome. Are you straight up bottle feeding? I imagine it would be pretty hard to nurse/pump that much!

Steph - Oh, you hit the nail on the head with the whole trying to pee thing after the cath was out! I was in so much pain below my incision, and I just felt like that whole pelvic area was about to explode. Once I was able to pee it was like a whole new relief. I am also not nursing quite as much anymore...pretty much sticking to pumping and bottles for now. Sorry Andrew is working so much and I know what you mean about the jealousy. Darren is still off work so he is up with me, but I was the main person feeding Scarlett when she was a baby and I definitely had my bitter moments! The weekends were a nice relief.

Sara - Hope your BP is better and you were able to come home over the weekend!

Claudia and Gi - SO SOON for you girls!!!

Sorry to everyone I missed, I'll try to do more personals this week!

AFM - The girls are doing great! I am recovering nicely from the c/s, though like Katie, still hunched over at times. It's more cramps in my side than any pain from my incision. I got my staples out today which was great. As I walk around more, I feel better, so I'm able to get up and do things. I got sooooo many stretch marks at the very end (like, the last week), so I don't think I'll be doing the Victoria Secret runway, but they are so worth it. I've lost 21 of my 45 pounds, so I have a pretty flubby tummy right now! As I told Steph, I am mostly pumping and feeding, sometimes nursing. They will get formula at night a little until I build up more milk, but so far it's coming in nicely.

We took the girls to their pediatrician appt this morning and Amelia is down 7oz to 4.13 and Juliette is down 6oz to 4.12. The Dr was happy with that and said they should have no trouble getting past their birth weight by their two week appt. YAY! Good to know they are eating enough. They checked out perfectly in every way. They sleep sooooo much (which means they are up a little too much at night, but definitely not bad) and have slept more today than any other. TWO car rides must take a lot out of them. It's funny, because I never did cry when they were born (a few tears when they came out but that's it). I didn't when we got the other kids either. I get into this "let's do this, get into a schedule" mode when a big life change occurs. I still haven't had an emotional shift with hormone changes, but I didn't really with the pregnancy either so I'll be interested to see if it comes at some point. I told Darren and my BFF to keep a close eye on it!
