Hello, it's Nikola's DH.
In case anyone was interested (

)!
This could be a bit chinese whispery because it's come from Tracey to Ian (her DH), to Nikola (and because Nikola decided to rearrange the internet which we haven't sorted yet) and ended up with me...
Tracey went in on Wed am to be introduced. They gave her some pasties to eat and when that got the constructors working everything looked okay, so they made her do a pentathalon and suddenly the constructors went home. So more pasties to be eaten and still nothing as of last night, but the trains might well have arrived early this morning.
Ummm....I think what they meant was that she went in on Wednesday morning to be induced and they gave her some pessaries (If I get this wrong I'm sorry). These got the contractions going during Wednesday. Before too long they administered Pethadine because it looked like kick off time was approaching. Unfortunatley that stopped the contractions. Yesterday evening (they gave her some more pessaries to get her going again and last time we spoke to Ian (10ish last night) he thought they might arrive during the night. I don't think it had happened by 6.30 this morning as Nikola was furiously trying to feed Amelia and text at the same time. I'll let you know when we know more. I don't know why she doesn't just take Gabby for a brisk walk round the block. My thoughts are with Ian, two days with Tracey stuck in a hospital room.....it really doesn't bear worth thinking about.

And Now.....
Tracey gave birth to two healthy girls today (in fact we're waiting to find out when).
Emily Charlotte and Alice Isobel were delivered by C-section weighing 6lb 14oz and 6lb 5oz. Apparantly all are well (although I'm sure the midwife could do with a lie down having put up with Tracey for so long!).
Stop Press..... "she was on a "high strip" (don't know either) for 6 hours but only 3cm dilated so had a section at 10.30pm".
On behalf of Nikola and I many congrats to Tracey, Ian and the girls (and Gabby). As we know, the hard work starts now!
Tracey just needs to have a shower, walk Gabby and then I'm sure she'll be on later.
(Three days of labour? Placenta Preavia has its advantages after all!)

MANY MANY CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ALL
What great sizes, you must both be so thrilled. What we thought were sleepless nights before don't really compare to sleepless nights now

although its all worth it
Hope you get home soon and enjoy the most special time with your beautiful girls. God bless Oliver and welcome to his special sisters.
With love from fellow new twin mam

CONGRATULATIONS TRACEY AND IAN!
A huge welcome to Emily Charlotte and Alice Isobel!
You were very good weights, girls but not quite the 8lb that I'd hoped for!
It sounds like everything is going well. Hopefully it won't be too long before you'll all be home together and we get all the gory details

(how thankful am I for an elective caesarean?!)
Sending the 4 of you all our love,
Juliet, Alan, Daniel and Charlotte Emily
TTC 5 years. Daniel & Charlotte born 22.03.02, 1st ICSI treatment. TTC for 4 further years. 2nd ICSI cycle abandoned, 3rd cycle BFN. Looking forward to being a happy family of 4.
