Langton I just have to say you gave me the best laugh I've had in days with your "bugger her the spiteful cow" comment, I was thinking something very similar but the way you put it is the best!!!

Vita just remember whatever her reaction - it's about her, not you and don't let her make you feel unhappy. I can understand how difficult it must be for her but to be mean and spiteful is just not right.

I've worn this whole IVF process on my sleeve - told all our friends, family and some co-workers once we found out hubby actually had viable sperm. I couldn't contain myself, was just so excited and relieved that there was even hope (my hubby is parapalegic, after TTC >5 years we had about given up...) and I suppose sharing all just fits with my personality. Anyway it's worked for me because I'm already showing and it's just easier to let anyone who asks in on it. They've been very accomodating at work, too. I know this will backfire if I miscarry or I don't have twins but we'll just have to let the chips fall where they may. I think it's a personal choice on who to tell when - and each of us should feel comfortable doing whatever works well in our circumstances....sorry for all the detail :) I'm like the energizer bunny tonight.

Hi ladies, i think i need to tell someone how im feeling. im finding it hard to talk to my friends and family at the moment. i no its a bit of a sob story but i just need to let it out to someone.
Im not coping very well at all. im trying my hardest to be strong but i cant i really cant cope with everything, i no where all going through the same thing with twins, i no, i no i should be thankful and i really am. but im not enjoying this pregnancy at all. i no everyone ie dh mother in law mum. all think\im a weaklin and im feeling sorry for myself. but im not. im really finding it hard to pull myself together and there is nothing anyone can do to help me. i cant stop being sick, i cant really eat anything, im starving. i try to force food down, cause it hurts my stomach when there is nothing to bring up. ive constantly got a splitting headache and my hormones are wild. im arguing with everyone all the time. cause its getting me down and making me snap. i wish i could say im enjoying this pregnancy, but im so ashamed to say im not. i hope things start to change. i love my babies but finding it hard work and a strain emotionally and physically.
Has anyone else felt as bad as this?
i think my family are sick of me moaning all the time about something. but i really need them.
i hope it eases soon.

Hayley

dearest Hayley

please don't worry about how you feel, it sounds pretty normal 1st trimester stuff (as I often feel just the same) and it must be completely terrible if you are feeling so sick. This last month has been one of the hardest I have ever gone through, I am feeling sick and exhausted all the time, cannot concentrate at work and am super-moody on top of it all! And you have twins and so I am sure there is double the hormones going around for you too!!! I remember thinking in the months before I got that BFP that I would never complain if I actually got pregnant, that I would be grateful for the opportunity to feel morning (or all bloody day) sickness BUT it really really really feels crap! And I am worried all the time that I might still miscarry and so all this crapness has been for absolutely nothing!!!

BUT I think there is a chance that in the next few weeks our symptoms will ease and hopefully you will manage to eat a little and keep it down! It must be exhausting for you

don't worry!
I think many of us are struggling
We just need to think that feeling bad is a good sign! A friend at work keeps coming into my office and asking 'You still feeling crap' and when I say 'Too Right' she answers 'wonderful' and leaves happy

lots of love

AHHHH Hayley~~

You do sound like you are having such a difficult time, but dont feel bad, you feel like crap how could you possibly be so excited.... have you tried sea bands wrist bands, i heard they work wonders, my cousin has been using it for ages now and it really has helped her. Hayley just think that in a few weeks the sickness is going to be a thing of the past for you and you will see your belly getting bigger and that alone will make you excited. But for now dont come down on yourself. YOU are hormonal and im sure everyone around you completely understand that.

Wishing your sickness to disappear soon and bring in some comfort for you.

Racquel~~ Hey i like your positive attitude so much! Have you had your scan yet??? when is it??? Im so excited to know if they are twins for sure..Just keep up the PMA and im sure everything will turn out for the best !

Kristin~~ How are your headaches doing??? I hope they will just go awayyyyyyyy... Are you still feeling sick as well? How far along are you ??
You know when you mentioned my shortness of breath might be due to nerves, you are so right about that, sometimes i find my self wide awake at 4 am like tonight and unable to sleep because im so worried about having triplets.

The preterm labor and the possibility of birth defects have made me loose my sleep. Although my doctors say things look good so far all 3 are growing at the same rate, the fear of things going wrong are constantly there. I try to leave things entierly up to God because i know i cant control or do anything about it. I just try my best to do what the doctors tell me to do, like rest and eat proper foods. Although i have absolutely no appetite to eat anything. During my last checkup i had not gained a single pound. So im hoping monday i will find out if all the babes are doing well.

Ladies when does the worrying end??????????? possibly never

((((Hayley)))) - you are not alone! In fact you made me feel much better - I am not a 'good' pregnancy person and have been feeling guilty about every negative thought. Especially after IVF you're expected to be so thankful and blessed etc -- and of course you are -- but feeling sick sucks no matter how thankful you are!!! I've read that with twins the symptoms are x2 and it must be really hard for you - I can't imagine being so sick and not being able to eat. So you are entitled so feel whatever you're feeling and do not beat yourself up about it!! Go ahead and let it out - if someone close to you says something insensitive then let them have it, perhaps they'll think twice next time (I'm awful, I know. But I think you should get special privileges when your preggers!!) Also I found a funny book called Pregnancy Sucks - it helped me feel much better about not enjoying every twinge, bulge, burp, gas, etc ... :) :)

Vita I keep thinking of you with the triplets - don't blame you for feeling worried. But it sounds like you're doing well - hope your appt Monday goes well.

Our sono is Monday 8/7 as well -- FINALLY -- I can't wait.

Have a great day/night everyone, Racquel

Thanks everyone, i no its horrible but im glad everyone is the same and im not over reacting. people get on my nevres when they say "your not the 1st woman to be pregnant! you know  i feel like saying
1. HAVE YOU HAD TWINS? DO YOU NO ANYONE WHO HAS HAD TWINS? THEY SAY NO! SO I SAY *?!*??^"!!!!!! HOW DO YOU NO THEN LOL.

AND NUMBER 2. MAYBE IM NOT COPING ASWELL AS YOU BLOODY DID THERE I ADMIT IT SO WHAT. LOL SORRY . :)

Well anyway, i ended up getting a bit sick off myself today, so i got showerd, put my makeup on, got dressed and tried to shake it off.
everyone was shocked my mum, dh looked stunned, and said well youve made a come back  . it took about 4 hours to look nice but took my time so i didnt feel sick.and i got there in the end.

im telling you all this cause there is a point. IT MADE ME FEEL ALOT BETTER. I have seen a twin pram i like in a book the jane powertwin. and i said to my mum come on lets go the baby shop andsee what its like. They were all in shock cause ive been like a zombee for 4weeks. we wentseen the pram, loved it. and my mum said she will order it for me in a couple of months and pay up for it. it made me smile seeing it and i started to feel exited instead of miserable. I also bought 2 sailor suits . i no its early but it made me feel alot better. i come home and i was WACKED! and the sickness was creaping up again. but it did me the world of good. even though i had to force myself.

thanks adies for all you support its very nice to have people like you to talk to. and get you through.

Hayley,

I do hope you are feeling a little better. I feel exactly the same, have even stayed away from here as I'm feeling so negative! DH doesn't understand, told him to move out yesterday but we're ok today. I'm suffering from insomina at the moment and it's killing me. I'm lucky if I get about 4 hours every night and that's in bulks of 20 minutes! Feel really guilty for moaning about it though, just feeling really lonely :(

Hope everyone else is ok. Sorry haven't got the engery to reply to the rest of you!

Going now to sulk for a bit but I have the ironing to cheer me up! :(

Jo~~

I hope today has been a better day for you... Dont forget you are hormonal at the moment and its ok to get upset, im sure DH completley understands how you are feeling. Is there anything in particular that is getting you to feel negative or is it because you dont feel well...

Insomnia has struck me as well i completely understand what you are saying, i never sleep an hour straight and get up to go to the restroom maybe 4-5 times a night, it gets really exhausting and it plays a major roll on our moods and attitudes. I hope your days will turn around and have you feeling better...

Hayley~~ How are you feeling sweets??? THings looking better?? And the lovely twins have they allowed your sickness to subside?

Racquel~ Your sono date is coming up how excited you must be i just want to tell you get ready for the best feeling of your life when you see the little beanie(s) and the fluttering of their heart(s)..,.. I have my 11 week exam on the same date so i look forward to hearing good news from you and me

Kristin~~ How are you lovely? I hope the headaches have gone away, i know mine are still around, i just hope its not too long till they are a thing of the past.

JT~~ where have you been?? we miss you

Kareen~~ you too are being missed hope to hear from you soon. Oh wait i think you might have moved to the second trimester thread>>>wooohooo how exciting... goodluck~

Hello Ladies:

I'm sorry to hear that so many of you are feeling bad. I'm having no trouble sleeping, except having to get up every 3 hours to pee affects my level of rest. I am exhausted! I am getting very tired of these progesterone shots. I bleed every single time and here lately I have been bleeding quite a lot. I just can't wait until I'm done with them. I'm sure hoping it will be soon.

lm: Congrats on your BFP!! When is your first scan? It is so neat to finally see your little beanie on the screen.

Take care all,
Tammy

hi dolcevita and everyone,

i'm doing much better. we went in this last thursday for our 7week u/s and we saw a heartbeat!!!!!!!!!!! :) i was soooo nervous like you wouldn't believe. but dh said that as soon as the probe went in, he saw something flashing. :) and of course i was too nervous to notice.

i'll be visiting my ob from here on out. first appt is at the end of august.
i'm starting to get those symptoms you all mentioned. not too bad though. just feeling tired and nausea once in a while. i hope they will just stay this way and not get worst since i really don't have much of a tolerance when it comes to nauseousness.

ok, talk soon!! hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

best,
jt
