HI - we have a beautiful daughter through ICSI (VERY severe male factor)
We have 4 embies in the freezer and was looking for any inspirational stories?! We are so lucky to havea child at all that I dont want to seemgreedy but I'd be lying if I said I wasnt thinking a bit about another one sometime.
I understand that pregnancy rates through FET arent great -anyone know more than me?!
All the best

the rates do not differ that much from fresh ivf/icsi.
the biggest danger is the defreezing... (about 40/50% does not survive)
(I had 5 cryo's but non of them survived).
once they survived the procedure of defreezing... your chances are only slightly less than from fresh ivf/icsi.
but go for it!
6 is an good amount!!
after lots of IUI, 4 FETs and 5 IVF's
a babyboy!

Hi caz
FET they do have a slighty lower sucess rate but there have been a few stories on here of them working
i am 33weeks PG with twins from having a medicated FET before the embies were frozen they were both 4 cell and when they thawed they were 3 cell and now they are growing nicely and doing well
i felt less stressed having a fet plus they are cheaper and they can work so really are worth a go
GOOD LUCK

Caz,
I have two beautiful 8 month old identical twin girls from a FET. I call them my snow babies. This was successful after a failed fresh ICSI cycle in Dec. of 2003.
Just to give you some hope.....Four frozen embryos were transferred, two took, and one split. We had triplets until about 8 weeks into the pregnancy. We have been blessed with two baby girls.
Good luck,
Denise

CAZ
I did a medicated cyle FET and am happy to tell you
that Iam pregnant. And its a first cycle as well .
Once they survive thawing they are as good as fresh ones.
GOOD LUCK AND LOTS OF PMA AND BABY DUST TO YOU.

Hi all
I have never posted on this side before! I am preparing for my second FET in the next couple of weeks. We had a -ve frostie cycle in March.
I have been feeling really quite down about the stats. and it has been lovely to hear success stories. We had 12 frozen, and thawed 4 last time (although really only 1 divided to 4 cell. It was 'average' according to the embryologist)
I have started to think that probably all my frosties will not make the grade - at least I can thaw a good amount.
Anyway, lovely to hear nice things

Hope I will be over more often next month!

LUMI
You have a good number and dont worry. I too thot i was going to loose my embies when thawing but only two were thawed and they survived. I transfered 2 embies , 4-cell and 5-cell grade 1. Rested for the whole two weeks, it was hard but it has paid well. I just didnt want taking any chances, also had to stopeating and doing a lot of things , HOW I LIKE CHEESE, but I had to go for 2wks without it. Dont worry like I said as long as they thaw your chances are just the same as the fresh cycle one.
GOOD LUCK AND REST ENOUGH BEFORE AND AFTER ET.
