Hi Kim and thanks for starting my countdown.
To be honest, I don't feel I really deserve one as I haven't kept up with wishing everyone else the best, although obviously I do wish everyone good luck and hope everyone ending their journey have fantasic labours.
I find it very hard to keep up with everyone on these threads and pay credit to the likes of yourself, Smita, Cla, Saraid, ECY1 (these are just names that spring to mind)and so many others that take the time to give great advise, kind words and the support on these threads. Maybe I am just a little lazy and do feel guilty about this.
I am actually due now on the 3rd October and have an appointment on 2nd Oct. If nothing has happened by then, I will be booked in for that week to be induced
I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone on these threads, not just being a friend to me, but for being there for everyone and making this site the most friendly, informative and caring site I have ever known.
Love to all
Chelle xxx

Dear Chelle,
God only 9-10 days left and you will see your two babies in the flesh. Wishing you a safe and happy delivery.
It seems like yesterday that we all started on this journey and this stage of being a mother is nearly over.
All the best Chelle and when you have a moment

let us know how you got on.
Love Saraid

Hi All
Thanks for your thoughts... Nope, still waiting.
Had a docs appointment yesterday... blood pressure fine, wee sample fine, movements felt etc. Was told to just hang in there. Hang being the operative word as I now require a trolley to carry my bump!!!
I have an appointment on Monday at the hospital and if nothing has happened by then, they will book me in that week to be induced.
I really don't want to be induced!!!! The thought of a membrane sweep
Please please please let it be today.
Hope everyone is well

Dear Chelle,
Don't worry about the membrane sweep. One of my good friends had her little boy 3 weeks ago and she had the sweep. It is seemingly only uncomfortable more than anything else. Less so than a pap smear! She had her sweep in the morning and her labour started that afternoon.
Hopefully your little ones will get the idea and get rready before then. My SIL swears by getting on your hands and knees - as if you were scrubbing the kitchen floor!

Or if you are in any frame of mind for it sex always helps. Seemingly the seminal fluid will set it off. Not sure about logistics

when we are the size we are.
Hope to hear your good news soon.
Love saraid

Thanks for that Saraid, you've put my mind at rest.
Tried sex last night, much to DH shock. He has been to scared to come near me for ages as he didn't want to poke anyone... I told him not to flatter himself
We tried it on my hands and knees so maybe it will definately work (although nothing yet!). It's been so long it actually felt like my first time again

(sorry tmi).

Cheers Kareen that's really sweet of you.
Have tried the Pineapple - Hasn't worked, ate half of one though - terrible heartburn after!!!
DH wont suck on my nipples!! They are leaking!!!
I have read also about nipple stimulation and apparently it can be dangerous due to possible contractions coming too fast and strong, stressing the baby - not sure how true it is but dare not try.
Caster oil - Yuk
A hot curry - also no good for the heartburn.
Wearing my best knickers - I definately would try this... if I could fit into them!!
I will just have to be more patient.
Thanks again

I must say that this last string of posts has left a big smile on my face. I too have been wondering what possible measures to take to get things moving. I think DH would love the first suggestion, but I too have been wondering about "the logistics" as saraid put it. On that note... is it the fluid that sets it off, the "Big O", or just the stimulation from the act itself? At this point, the hot curry sounds better!
Good luck Chelle!!!!! Will be thinking about you this week!!!
