Thanks, Cla! I guess I'm feeling normal feelings. This morning was the first time ever that I didn't BF them when they woke up. I changed thier routine so that they wouldn't notice. Of course they are doing fine. I think I'll try reducing the # of pumps I do and occassionally BF and wean off that over the next couple of weeks.

I'm afraid I'll forget what it BFing feels like, just like I feel like I've forgotten so many things already. I was thinking the other day that I barely remember what being pregnant felt like.

And with my sad memories (ha ha) comes new beginnings for the boys...I found Brady standing up in his crib for the first time ever when I went to get him this morning.

Hi all,

sorry i haven't been able to post, still really struggling with the P.N.D and everything is so difficult and i have gone super scatty!!! Image but i will get there in the end.

Jess is doing well, very active and wants attention 24/7 but loves meeting new people and will do anything for attention, if people pass her and don't chat, quite funny sometimes, especially when people are trying to eat their meal and she wont let them, because she wants to talk!!!! She has her baptism the other weekend and had a fab day, all went well, even the rain added to the kids enjoyment, all were coated in mud.

We had a family holiday in spain a few weeks ago and she loved the pool, especially because the light was reflecting of the tiled floor. She was splashing around lots and didnt even mind when it went in her face.

Sounds like everyone is doing well. it's amazing how quick they move on to the next stage. Im still off work for another 7 weeks but not sure how i will cope when i'm back at the beginning of sept as all my confidence has gone, but on the other hand once i get in there, i might quite like the escape, so in 2 minds. How is everyone managing with work and there little ones? Well done Kristi for coping so well with 2,!!!!!!!!!!! you must be knackered at the end of the day.

Jess also goes to nursery 5 days a week (not completely my decision), but she is loving it and has settled in so well. At first she would glare at us when she came out and now she is all smiles (unless tired, and nothing is funny then). will log onto photobucket and check pictures before i go back to bed and will try and post some of jess's at a later date (broke digital camera today (DOH), i dropped it on the floor!!!

Thanks ladies for thinking of me, it does mean a lot, especially as it's so hard getting around to posting Image . Sorry for not keeping in touch regularly, but my thoughts when they are not so scrambled, are definately with you all. even if i don't post, i do check up on all your progress, tears and tantrums!!!!

love ye lots

speak soon

Hi everyone!

Sue - so glad to hear from you. Sorry to hear you are still having a rough time with the PND. I am dealing with that right now too. Some days are good, some not so good, but I'm for sure doing better than I was 3 months ago.

Well - It finally happened... Hendricks rolled off the bed this morning and onto the floor.    It was the typical "I only turned my back for 30 seconds" and then THUD. Down he went. He rolled over 2 pillows to do it. We both cried for a few minutes and then he was fine. I think it was more just a startle then actual pain. Thank goodness he landed on all fours and not his head.

He is getting slightly better and textured food. He at least is attempting to get it down now, even though he still chokes and gags. He is picking up little bits of banana and cheerios. He had his 9 month check up a couple weeks back. He is measuring 23 pounds and 30 inches. He actually lost a little weight as he was 24.5 pounds at around 8 months... but then he got very active. Wish I could say the same for me! Yep, still holding on to those last 10 pounds. We are going to Mexico in December, so maybe I will hang my swimsuit on the refrigerator as some inspiration :)

Do you all still nurse/give bottles at bed time? I'm not sure if we should start trying to break this habit, or when it is typical to not feed before bedtime. Thoughts??

Hope all is well with you guys.

Hi all! We are back from our 'vacation'...well let's say we weren't able to relax very much. We rented a villa in Tuscany with 2 other couples and each also had babies. The villa was not child friendly so poor Isabella spent almost the entire time in her high chair or pram. When one baby cried - the next cried and they all had different schedules. One baby was 1 year-old and the mother made sure all the attention was focused on him...like when he was sleeping Isabella could not even squeel...but when Isabella was sleeping he could bang on her bedroom door and scream. Anyway take my avice and never go on a holiday with other babies unless you are staying in seperate accomodations. On the bright side we had Isabella in the pool (she loved every second) and she cut 2 teeth! (we had one night of crying the entire night)

I am still trying to catch up on wash and getting the house re-organized so I will write more later this week.

Hi All,

So good to catch up on everything.
Sue - so good to hear from you. You are sounding great,so hopefully those aweful PND feelings will die down. What a big thing - going back to work! I tried that, but kind of changed my mind before I even got started!!! How long does Jess spend in nursery?

Julie - I still do the bedtime bottle. Lucy has a bottle after every meal (so 3 bottles a day...sometimes 4). I think it's pretty 'normal'-all my friends with older kids still have milk at bedtime. Even the ones that are 6/7 years old.

Lulu is crawling, pulling herself up, falling etc. all day long. I think it's more tiring for me than her!! She had rotor virus and was sick for 2 weeks. It was a bit of a nightmare, cos DH was away for work for nearly all of that time. It was aweful to see her like that, and it totally threw her 'sleeping through'. She is better now, so hopefully things will start to go back to how they were (ha!).

Hope everyone is well.

Bella.

Hi everyone!

Sue, good to hear from you! Sorry you still have the nasty PND. I sure wish we all lived near each other...we're such good support....imagine if we could get together in person instead of just online!

Bella, sorry to hear Lucy was so sick for two weeks! I bet that was an exhausting time!

Tracii, your vacation didn't sound too restful! It's exciting that Isabella cut two teeth! Tyler now has 2 teeth, but Brady still doesn't have any.

Julie, I'm sure you were scared to death when Hendricks fell on the floor! We had a similar episode. I still give my boys a bottle/BF before bed. I also do it at 3pm before afternoon nap. Then 3 meals at regular mealtimes. And a small snack or two at other times.

Tyler weighed 17.5 lbs and Brady weighed 16.5 pounds at their 9 month check up. Brady is now crawling all over the place. It's so cute to see him follow me around the house and then climb up on my legs. Not sure how that will work when both of them are hanging on me. Right now Tyler is still content to just sit in one place.

Julie, good idea about hanging the old pictures of us in our swimsuits on the fridge. I just can't get motivated yet. So many people tell me not to worry about it until I'm done BFing....so I'm using that conveniently as my excuse right now. I'm still BFing Brady but Tyler has refused everyday since that one day I told you he bit me and drew blood. It's not convenient doing one and not the other, but I can't get myself to quit.

Wow...sorry for the long post....

Cla, earlier in the month you said Charlie was crawling properly. So I bet by now he's crawling fast and furious around the house, huh????

sorry been MIA! I had a week off work and spend most of the time cleaning the house!!! You know that sort of clen whereby you disinfect the walls/floors etc. Am completely shattered so glad to be back!!!!
House was flooded last Friday which was a nightmare. Luckily though not the living quarters - just the part of the house where we have our office etc. Still not nice though - had to rip up carpets etc. Although watching the news there were a lot of people much worse off than us so can't complain!

Glad to hear from you all (although sorry to hear about the PND). I've found out a friend of mine has been suffering - her little one is the same age as Charlie and it has taken her all this time to work it out and get help.

The little ones all seem to be thriving! We've had a rough couple of weeks with Charlie - he had tonsilllitus first of all (it sounded funny though - as if his voice was breaking!!!) but he had a course of penicillin and that cleared it up. Then we discovered..........FIVE new teeth! He had an awful night's sleep on Friday last week so we bought him into bed with us. He started grinding his teeth which we though was a bit strange considering only 3 bottom ones were through. Anyhow we checked in the morning and there they were - 4 top ones and another bottom one. He's been suffering with them all week, but I suppose we should be grateful that so many have come at once.

apart from that Charlie is fantastic! Crawling around ALL over the place. Last week he pulled himself up on his walkalong toy and walked across the lounge on his own. He looked a bit shocked when he realised we weren't holding him, but now there's no stopping him! He's walking with it all round the longe, kitchen and garden! Just waiting for him to attempt to let go!

Julie - we have had so many near misses on the bed as Charlie never stays still. I have given up changing him on the change mat as it's too dangerous. I had been using the bed but I think that's becoming so too. Will have to move to the floor I think.

Anyhow - seem to have posted loads so will sign off! Great to hear from you all!

Oh forgot to say! One exciting thing we did last week was book our holiday!!! Off to Grenada on 2nd Dec for 2 weeks! Can't wait! Last time we went away Charlie had a cold so couldn't go in the pool. Will make up for it this time!!!!
(oh and Tracii - I agree about going away with others. We had some friends who wanted to "join up" for a holiday but we politely turned them down. Much easier only having to please ourselves rather than others).
Bye!

Have finally put some piccies of Charlie on photobucket although now realise they are 6 weeks out of date! Also put a piccie on of my poor pussy cat! She's 19 years old and not very good at cleaning herself (and won't let us do it!) so she went for a shave!!!! SO FUNNY! Bless her she's fine - just looks like a kitten again!
Hope all is well with you all!

Cla, cute pictures! Charlie has lots of cute blonde hair. I love the little push toy thing that he's riding in. Poor kitty looks a bit sad. ha ha! I can't believe Charlie has 5 new teeth! And I can't believe he's walking around with the walking toy thing. WOW!!!! So I bet he'll be an early walker and will be off and running long before he hits a year old.

Hi Ladies -

As you may know (from my profile) I live in Minnesota... and just a few miles from where the bridge collapsed. It is such an unbelievable thing. I have driven over that bridge hundreds of times. To think that it could've been me or my family in that tragedy is just so unsettling. My coworker lost his nephew. It is such a tragedy for everyone here... give your kids any hubbies extra hugs and kisses today. Life is just so precious and I wish that thought about that every single day instead of just when something like this happens.

Oh Julie have only just seen your post. Hadn't put 2 and 2 together when I saw the news and realised you were from the same area.
Am so sorry to hear about your co-workers loss. What a tragic incident.

Hi all,

Just thought i would do a quick post, as things are starting to feel a little better.

Cla - the pictures of charlie are so cute, its amazing how quick they are all changing and becoming independant little people!!! The poor cat.

I have added a few more recent ones of jess, she is quite a determined little girl and knows exactly what she wants!!!!

How is everyone doing? Any thoughts about trying again!!!! I think i will look at that one again in several years!!!!!!!!!! I might be ready then.

Julie - glad you and your family are fine,it's always hard though when tragedy strikes close to home.

How are the twins doing Kristi? Any more action, on the crawling walking front.

Tracii _ sorry to read your holiday wern't the relaxing time it should of been, hopefully your next break will be better!!!!

mel, hope things are alright with you and your babe

Bella - sounds like lulu and jess are at the same stage. so glad she is feeling better now.

I can't believe how many teeth some have got, jess hasn't got one!!! will soon be looking into buying her a set of dentures!!!!!!! would make a great picture

Hey Sue!! Thanks for asking...yes, Tyler is now crawling as of this week. Brady has been crawling for about a month. Let me tell you...it is SO FUNNY to watch them together. They are crawling around the house from room to room following each other, playing and laughing! They are entertaining each other so much now that they can move about that they don't seem to need me quite as much!?!? Ok, so that's good and bad. I guess that's a unique thing for twins. I didn't think they would play together like this so early though.

I just placed a classified ad to sell many of my baby items. That's a bit sad so let go of so many things. But hence, the baby era is about over and the toddler era is knocking on our doorstep.

My boys' 1 year birthday is NEXT MONTH!!!!!!!!! Ok, so the last day of the month next month (Sept 30), but still, it's next month! AAAHHH!!!

Julie....so sorry to hear about your co-worker's relative. The bridge tragedy has been all over the news.....very scary!
