Sorry to take so long to reply! i'm sure, like me, you don't find as much time to come on here anymore!
Charlie is doing great thanks! He has been walking for some time and is now trying his hand at running. It's so funny as his legs and his body can't keep up with each other! He's really very active (always has been really!) and likes nothing better than climbing (on anything!) and investigating things. he-he!
He has now a total (we think!) of 13 teeth. I say we think as it's becoming rather dangerous to put your finger in his mouth
He usually gets quite crabby for a night (and goes off his food!) when cutting a tooth so we usually know when a new one is about to pop through! oh and it's the only time he gets nappy rash too
Words are still rather unrecognisable although we have a good grasp of Mumma and Dadda as well as ta (as in thank you!) and ba ba (as in good-bye!!) Although he can't say it, he can point to Mummys nose, ears, mouth and eyes although I admit that doesn't always get them the right way round! Also responds very well to questions (for instance - where is the hoover - he'll go straight to the cupboard. Shall we have a bath - stands at the bottom of the stairs waiting for me to move the gate and then he legs it upstairs to the bathroom!) So I know he's understanding the words very well, just needs to practise saying them!!! It's just so much fun watching him learning new skills!
Matthew sounds like such a happy chappy! Like you say even when feeling poorly. Bless him! I do go over to photobucket now and then and see the pictures - so cute!!!!!!!! Hope that his appetite has improved? As I say Charlie can be very changeable sometimes with regards to food and can either eat like a sparrow or a horse!!! I have to say though when I cut down his milk intake he changed dramatically and suddenly started to eat finger foods, snacks, larger portions, drink juice etc. I had kept him on 4 feeds for too long I think and it wasn't filling him up. I then cut down to 3 and finally took the plunge and cut it down to just 2 feeds a day (morning and bedtime) and his sleeping improved tenfold too (it had got better when we weaned him but started to deteriorate as time went on - I think as he wasn't full enough).
Oh, sorry I realise I didn't answer your Bf question!! Yes I did BF although I stopped at 5 and a half months as Charlie was starting nursery for 2 days a week and I felt it would be better if he had been weaned onto bottle only by then. Have to say I missed it like mad (and my big BBs!!!!) but it was the right thing to do. Am now in the process of weaning him off the bottle! There always seems to be something!!!!
Anyhow I hope things have improved for you. It may be worth thinking about perhaps cutting down the amount he has say at lunchtime to see if this encourages the eating? Unless he's back to normal that is!!
Right - must go and do some work!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice to hear from you
