I was looking for some insight from other twin mommies. I am curious if you were able to get your pre-baby body back after having twins. I always watched my weight and worked out a lot before I got pregnant. As I am watching my belly expand, both in absolute amazement and fear, I was just wondering how others were able to get back to the way they were. Also just wondering if any of you were able to escape the dreaded stretch marks?? lol Don't get me wrong I am sooo happy to be preggy with twins and wouldnt trade this pregnacy for the way I used to look for anything in the world.....just curious what other twin mommies experiences have been.

I am probably not the best person to answer this as there are many other mommies on here that have had twins that have gotten their bodies back. Me on the other hand, I have 60 lbs still to lose and my babies are 8 months old. I am just too tired at the end of the day to work out. So it is my own fault at the moment. Once I start working out though I am sure it will come off! As for stretch marks, I did not get them too bad. I only have a few around the belly button. I would say just lotion, I hear it is a wives tale about it actually working but it does feel good when your tummy itches!
But if you worked out before, work it into your daily routine and you will get your body back! I am sure you will always have a little something extra since you get big with twins but if you work at it it will come! There are many moms on here that were skinny before twins and now are skinny after!

Well, to be honest about this subject I find my ONLY difficulty is finding the time to work out. I was in great shape when I got pregnant as a 3rd degree black belt and now I have 15lbs and much endurance to go. My body though is still pretty much the same shape, no stretch marks (and I went to 36w2d with 2 babies over 6 pounds) just a little thicker, a little wider waste. I think though that my age is kicking in and I find less elasticity but like I said I think that's all age related.... You should be just fine. I don't really mind the thicker me, most people think I "look great" for having twins
! These two was my second pregnancy and with my first my body did go back to pre-preg size/shape - I think if you were in really good shape before you should have no problems after. Anyway, congrats on your twins - what a blessing!!!

I too wondered what would happen to my body after twins. But I was actually back to my pre-pregancy weight before they were 8 weeks old and now actually have a hard time keeping weight on - I am between 5-10 lbs less than I was before getting pregnant and eat like a horse. I think the breastfeeding (although I pump and feed) coupled with the non-stop routine of having twins burns through the calories for me - but each person is different.
I did work out before getting pregnant and went back to working out fairly quickly.
Also, I didn't get any stretch marks - go figure! Not sure why??
Enjoy your pregnancy, it goes quickly!

I was another who did just fine. I was in my regular clothes 2 weeks after giving birth and never got a single stretch mark. I delivered early at 34 weeks and breastfed until 15 months so that helped I'm sure! It was also hard to gain a lot of weight for me when pg with twins. I only gained a total of 28 lbs. If it makes everyone feel better I weigh the same at this week of my new pregnancy with only one baby! YIKES!
