My scar is 6 mos old and it burns and itches like crazy, it is still very bumpy and red. I am just curious if it is normal to take so long to heal and if it bothers anyone. I got my galbladder out 4 months ago and with those my body rejected the sutures and tried to expell them which was awful, I wonder if my csec scar is healing normally or the same thing is happening...
thanks!

Hi Rio...
Sounds as if you could have a possible allergy. My scar is one year old, smooth and almost undetectable (except for a tiny bit of puckering under the left side you would never know its there). I would go to the OB and have him/her carefully look it over - there may be a rescission in order. Good luck and keep us informed...

My scar is almost 9 months old and is almost not visible at all. I do remember it itching like crazy though up until 5 months. But it is not red any more. Barely there. I would say if it is annoying you and you are worried to go and get it checked out.

Hey Rio Girl...
How did the appointment go? What did the doctor say? Is there something s/he can do about it? Let us know...

HI Cocoa - thanks for checking! I just got back from the doctor and he said I developed a keloid!

I have never had any probelms with any other scars but this one is red, painful and itchy after 7 mos! He said that after baby #2 (hopefully- fingers crossed!) he can cut it out and hopefully a new one won't form...
I am looking at creams or anything to relieve the itching... good thing the scar is really low and does not show on the bikini!

I have the same thing! I thought it was just normal! I never realized it could be barely noticable!! Crap! Well I guess I'll go c-section again to have it fixed next time around. My son is almost 14 months old and it still bugs me

almond- Yes I was thinking it was just normal healing stuff, never thought that by now it should be almost gone
