MC of one of my twins

Postby EYCI » Fri Mar 31, 2006 1:39 pm

Hello,

I just found out on Wednesday that I lost one of my twins. I have been feeling "odd" the last couple of weeks and finally called the dr. to get some reassurance. Mainly I just had a little low back pain and my pants weren't so tight anymore. I went in for an ultrasound and Baby A was just this poor helpless little being, no more heartbeat, which we had seen at 8 weeks.

Baby B looked great... arms and legs kicking and waving. And I heard the heartbeat at the same time.

I'm just so heartbroken and confused and worried. At 8 weeks we had seen both their heartbeats and the docs said that we had less than a 4% chance that something like this would happen. Of all the odds that we've beaten to get to this point, this is the one that we felt was on our side for once.

I'm scared that my body caused this to happen. I'm scared that something is going to happen to baby B. It is so hard to stay positive and keep thinking happy thoughts that we still have one baby.

Thanks for listening :)

Julie

i am so sorry for your loss.
it is so very hard.

there have been women on here that where pregnant with twins and
had mc one of them and are now holding there baby in there arms.

my doc had told me that alot of women who get pregnant naturally don't even know that they where pregnant with twins or that they had MC one of them..

Dear Julie

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Please please rest and take the time to heal. Easy for me to say but, I am sure your other little munchkin will be fine.

It is unbearable to hear of these sad stories and my heart goes out to you and your DH. I don't know what else to say.

Am thinking of you

Julie,

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. It's a heartwrenching thing to go through...any miscarriage. I don't think it's your body that did this - it's just nature and some messed up plan that fate has. I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks a couple of years ago and there really wasn't anything anyone could say to me - so I know these words aren't really doing much for you...but just know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

You're Baby B put on a show for you though moving around so much - that's an excellent sign.

Julie - I am so sorry to see your posting on this thread. I know it must have been extremely mixed moment when you had the scan. I am thinking of you. I am sure Baby B will be fine and your body will be stronger than ever at looking after this one. It sounds like a fighter.

Please be strong!
