spotting again

Postby Zed2003 » Thu Jun 15, 2006 4:38 pm

hey everyone,

Sorry I've not been on for so long - work has been busy, busy, busy. Two weeks until the holidays though!

The great news is that a scan today confirmed I was still 12weeks, 1 day pregnant. The bad news is the spotting returned last night just to stress me out. Seems it's only me it's affecting at the moment so here's hoping...

Hope everyone is well and all these babies are doing fine...

:-)

Hi Zoe,
Glad to hear you are over the 12 weeks! You know makes the chances for m/c much smaller, now it's' only' a question of the nasty spotting stopping. I told you that I had it also twice in my pregnancy and a third serious blood loss after the amnio (it was the worst time ever). and yet the little ones survived. Still i can imagine how much it stresses you! maybe it is something to do with the endo, I also have had heavy endo and thought my spotting might have had something to do with it. In any case, I am keeing my fingers crossed for you. Time will fly after 12 weeks...
as for us, we are super busy, moving house in a week, Nadia and Alex are almost 21 months and running everywhere like little exercise freaks and I am sooo tired. But happy...all is well, i live in hope for some rest after the move.
love,
juliana

Hi Juliana,

I'm off work today - long story - so am taking the chance to catch up on here.

You wait in hope for rest?? LOL Try another 3 years. I keep getting told it'll happen when they're about 5!

The spotting is a little heavier, I felt a little pinker, but that last only once, then it was back to more brown and a bit 'clottier'. I'm trying to stay positive as the midwife on Monday at my booking appt said 'brown is good' - just getting rid of it'. That's all very well, and in my heart I know that's true but it's playing havoc with my head and my emotions - every day is tiresome...

Never mind - the end of next week signals the start of 7 weeks off. I had a bad day yesterday at school so have decided that the place can run without me for a few days. I'm being brave and prioritising. Taking the decision not to go in was hard, but it suprising how relieved I feel today.

Good luck with the move. Is it far away? Just pack Alex and Nadia in a box and mark 'Fragile'   No doubt they'll be in the boxes anyway if they're anything like Sam.

Good luck, take care and don't push yourself too hard.

Hi Zoe,
Glad to hear from you and that all is still well, apart from this terrible spotting. I get nervous just thinking about you having it. But with every week it should be getting better and less, I will keep m,y fingers crossed for you! the rest will help I am sure. i am afraid we just have to work on here... :(
As for me, we moved and I am missing my babies so much as I brought them to their grandparents for a moving vacation! Theirs not ours :)
the reports from my enthusiiastic mother in law are that they are great, happy, playing running talking etc. I miss them like hell but we moved on Monday, unpacked yesterday partly and still have to make the house safe for them. It has been emotionally and physically so exhausting I am at the end of my strength and fed up with the whole process. Sometimes we wonder why we did it but we got a much bigger house and we bought for the first time here, we were renting before. the downside is I have to commute to work 30 minutes - it was too expensive to buy something big enough nearby. It all seems like madness at the moment but I guess I will enjoy it when the dust settles down. :)
First, to get my children back - saturday I cannot wait!
love and take care,
juliana

Hi Juliana,

Know what you mean. Don't know what's worse - the fact that they're not with you or the fact that they are perfectly happy without you!!!

At least the worst bit of the move is over - or the hardest part I should say. Where is it you are? Just thin of all the space the monkey's can run around in

I still have spotting but was signed off for a week. I intend going back tomorrow for the last day and a half as I want to tie things up. I figure I can manage 2 days and I can hardly stress myself out in that time! I just have to rememebr if I spot worse it's probably because I'm moving about more.

Enjoy the reunion on Saturday!

Hi Zoe, you sound good and cheerful despite the spotting, I hope it is all over in the meantime! and you have had more time to be on the boards I see so that must be a good sign of less work, less stress.. how is little Sam?
As for us, the reunion was great, Nadia and Alex walked once around carefully appraising the new place, glued to my hand and then settled in as if they had always lived there! and they do run around like mad inside although we have had such good weather they stay out in front of the house and ride their little tricycles. The new house is on the outskirts of the Hague, nice and peaceful place for which i will 'pay 'with comumte to work of half an hour. There is no perfect solution I guess.
The only setback is that now they don't like to be left with the babysitter, this was not an issue before, but now they hate it when I leave for work. makes me feel terrible, but onlly 2 more weeks to go and then we are on holidays and will be with them all the time. can't wait, am so exhausted...
love and wishes for carefree (spotfree) days,
juliana.

Hi Juliana. Good to hear from you.

Two weeks to go and counting eh? We came of on holiday last week and although I'd take the week off and only gone back for the last 2 days, boy, was I glad, so I know how you're counting down!!!! In terms of the babes - they probably love the babysitter once they are there abd it's harder on you! Your house sounds great - I suppose a half hour commute is not too much to 'pay'.... I'm lucky that my school is only about 10 minutes down the motorway by car, so I'm leaving as late as I can these days - gone are the days when I'm in an hour before school starts!!!!

I am a bit better - you are right. The discharge has been very light and I thought there was light at the end of the tunnel - typically today it's been more again. It's a bummer but i'm keeping as calm as I can. You know, I feel like I'm the only one in the world wondering why it's there and where it's from :( I have the 16 week midwife check next Friday so if I hear the heartbeat I'll be relieved if nothing else. It was about 20 weeks before I felt Sam, but yesterday I'm sure I had 'popping' but nothing today so maybe it was nothing?

The weather has been very mixed here - one minute VERY hot, the next cloudy and wet - very typically Scottish!!! Ah well, can have it all

Take care
