How exciting for you. I'm undergoing IVF as we speak. I would love to know how many eggs you produced, fertalized and were able to transfer as well as your age, if you don't mind me asking.

Thanks for writing!

Hi usma - Best of luck with your IVF, I shall pray for your success.

I was 33 and I produced 21 eggs, 18 fertilized and 8 went to Blastocyst. I then had 2 eggs put back and both took :D

This thread was a huge help to me. My twins are just 3 weeks old and I am struggling with everything you all mention. Hi Denise and Jen...guess I'll learn from your experiences as you are a bit ahead of me. Nice to see you again over on this side.

Kristi, I popped over to photobucket yesterday, and OMG, are those babies ever gorgeous. What names did you pick?

I have my little bugs down for a sleep and they both just gave me a 5 hour stretch. Unfortunately DH didn't, lol. I actually kicked him to the spare bed last night due to uncontrolled snoring that was waking the girls up.

I had them in their crib from 6 weeks til 9 weeks, but brought them back after needles, and now they won't go back into the cribs...so back in the room with me at least for now. They'll only be babies once, right?

Thanks, Denise! We named them Brady & Tyler. They were 6.5 weeks early, but weighed 4 lbs 10 oz & 5 lbs 3 oz.

We're sleeping all over the house right now...but looking forward to going into the cribs when I can climb stairs (can't now due to c-sec).

Tyler breastfeeds 1/2 the time....and the other 1/2 he won't latch on. So each feeding ends up being different. If they both latch on, then I'm able to feed them at the same time and it takes about 45 minutes. But if Tyler doesn't, then I have to breastfeed Brady, then get Tyler a bottle, then pump...and that process takes nearly 2 hours. I'm trying to handle the feedings in the night alone so DH can sleep and go to work, but I'm not getting much sleep. Also, the babies are up in the evenings until 2AM. But then sleep during the day. It feels strange for me to have that kind of schedule...but I can't manage to change them, so I just give in and get on their schedule.

It was intersting reading how others managed the night feedings with or without DH. Also, interesting to read how others strugged with the length of time to feed both of them...and that breastfeeding is a challenge for many of you also.

Well, speaking of feedings...it's that time again. Crossing my fingers that this is a double-football-hold successful latch & feeding for both of them. :)

Good for you! I'm sure it will get easier when both babies are latching like pros. I occasionally will do the tandem feed, but mostly I just do one, then the other. My girls don't take more than ten to fifteen minutes each to breastfeed, so it doesn't take forever, thank goodness. If I find them playing, I take them off and give them the pacifier instead, it saves the wear and tear on my nipples.
