Yay Mia! That's great news, Brilliant! Brilliant, Brilliant, can't wait to hear how you go on Sunday...

Sass you are right, I've just breezed in from my date with dildo cam. Mercifully the appointment involved only one audience member - ultrasound tecnician - a nice Jamaican lady who really appreciated the effort that I had made with the old appearance. Commented about how good I was looking (Geez how bad was I looking last time she saw me???). Anyway my efforts met with a very receptive audience. I really think my focus on the superficial aspects of IVF is working for me....

Oh yeah and the results of the dildo investigation were that my ovaries are very polycystic looking with about 10 follicles on each but one big lead one which is the one we hope will ovulate. Technician (my new best friend) also said my endometrium was looking "beautiful". I love her.

Patie, I am also quite superstitious. I carry my lucky Village People photo with me to all important events (came with me today), so yeah, I'd be watching for a sign if i was you....

Hello to Vicky & Meg (I might start calling you Mego - us Aussies always have to add a letter or two to people's names, usually an vowel, I can't help it it's a compulsion.

Looks like Angie has been bitten by the work ethic bug???? nasty little bugger.

Hey Sass, just been reading the December/ January thread, quite heavy going! Are you OK? You (and the rest of us on this board) are all damn well entitled to our feelings even if they aint pretty sometimes. Some of my best friends have recently had babies and I have made every excuse in the book not to go and see them, I feel like a ***** for behaving like that but if the shoe was on the other foot I'm sure they would understand. Actually I can't even visit my pregnant friend at the moment. I'm sure this phase will pass but damnit until it does I'm entitled to my feelings. Hope you are OK. Fee

Hi - I'm here really! Did have a bit of peruse earlier but couldn't quite put anything together.

Then a traumatic exp -IT man came to look at PC to show me how to do something (why am such a technophobe?) and he was whizzing around with the mouse and I was TERRIFIED he was going to go into the drop down list of recently visited sites and find this one just at the top. Oh oh - it doesn't bear thinking about! But still I visit and never cover my tracks! Does anyone else have this problem?

Mia - hang in there and you too Sassy. Hope you are OK too - as I've said before, DH and I have some how joined the group of couples without kids and singles which makes things easier for us. I don't know if I am avoiding people with kids or is that just how it is. I don't mind seeing and hearing about IVF kids here, coz it's like they are special and we all know what it has taken to make them. I also love hearing from "Mego":D as her exp was so special too! (And you are a very funny writer!)

I am feeling remarkably chilled at the moment - probably coz of all the hormones being suppressed down or whatever this spray is doing. But give me a couple of weeks and I'll be crazy again.

Fee - good to hear about your follie and the nice Jamaican lady. I never get an audience - just me, DH and Dr D. You're right - 3 strikes and he's out - I have already planned the conversation "i'm sorry, It's just not working. I just don't feel I'm getting anything out of this relationship. There's no give and take, it's just take, take, take from you (my hard earned cash)"

It will be a difficult convesation - but will hold off a while - will hope it doesn't have to happen.............

Anyway back to Fee, so any idea of timing for you for the big event?

Hey girls...
totally should not be doing this right now... but then when has it stopped me before!

heeheehee Angie on the IT guy and your fear! If they only knew, right???! oh yes, and the "take, take, take," from Dr. D is classic. Sure we could come up with a couple other choice comments for you. So glad to hear you are "chill" right now. Enjoy it.. the calm before the storm as they say (hormone storm that is  ).

Fee: SO glad to hear that you had an appreciative audience today. That makes all the difference. Your primping was not in vain! Now i know i am dense... but if i remember right, they are doing low-dose stims on you and actually wanting you to ovulate, right? I don't remember why, but all this is ringing a (very, very small) bell. So when does all this come to pass, anyway? btw... wish i had time now, but must shove something down my throat for dinner and run off (haven't eaten since bkfst due to nerves).

Mia: can't help myself.... another "shout out" for the fact that the PIOs continued!!! Was just telling dh your good news and got me all excited again for you.

Meg: gl on us tomorrow.. will be checking in lots tomorrow to see how it went....

Thanks Fee and Angie for checking in on me... doing much better now than the last 24 hrs! Not feeling real funny yet today... I'm sure I will have it back tomorrow. Will check in w/you all later.

wish i had more time to chat, but must shove something down my throat for dinner and run off (haven't eaten since bkfst due to nerves).

Ciao!

Hey Posse

Now Ang you cracked me up with your IT experience. Your blood pressure must have taken off! I have exactly the same problem with this site being at the top of my scroll down list. Last week a colleague came into my office, sat behind my computer and wanted me to look up the net for something work related....I had to make an "urgent" phone call to get him off the desk and away from my computer so I could discreetly cover my tracks.

Sass, yep you're right, depending on follie development I will trigger at some point in time. The timing depends on my blood work and follie development. I damn well hope that all those other follies dont' get too big. I'm only on 50iui of Puregon for pity's sake! because of the variables involved i'm not sure when transfer will be....Seems to me those patches that most girls have on the FET allow for more certainty in terms of timing. Don't work too hard by the way! Sounds like you are pretty busy...

Where's Mego, on the couch I bet..

By the way, I've started using profanity a lot in my daily language, it's like punctuation. Will the IVF defence cover that??

Hi ladies....yep, I was on the couch. Must see tv and all. (Geez, I really am lazy!)

Angie--Hilarious. Hitting on poor IT men. Too funny. And thanks for saying you like to hear from me. I gotta tell you, I do feel guilty about posting so much. I honestly still think of myself as someone who has fertility problems and I just can't give you guys up. So while I might not have much to complain about in my life right now, I really want to hang in there and be here with you all as you get your BFPs. But if I bother any of you, please let me know and I'll try to just quietly lurk in a corner!!! (honestly, I will!)

Fee--Glad things are progressing and that your us wasn't too miserable today. Quite like the Mego...it's been ages since anyone has given me a nickname! And I've been cursing up a storm lately, too! What's up with that? I was talking to my mom on the phone the other day and dropped the F word on her twice. TO MY MOM! I mean, she's cool and all, but still. Geez. So hopefully the IVF defense will cover that, otherwise we're both in trouble!

Sassy--Hope your event went well tonight and that you get a chance to relax (and catch up with us!!!) soon!

Well, have to go walk on the elliptical machine and watch more tv!

meg: you better ****ing never go sit in the ****ing corner! what the h*ll are you thinking? ok... just thought i would join two points in one sentence: 1) We don't want you going into the corner... wouldn't be no fun at all for any of us!!! 2) i, too, have developed a little swearing problem  . in all seriousness, you had better not leave just 'cause your belly gets fat  . You can give us all the scoop on what to expect!!! As for must-see tv... i have to confess i am probably the worst offender. (btw, being on the elliptical while watching tv.... yeah, not a couch potato.) Whenever i have a minute, i am plopped on my couch, watching tv and on my laptop  . (which, by the way means that i miss parts of shows as i am so intent on the fast-moving posts here... so i do a WHOLE lot of rewinding on the dvr! dh keeps asking me why i don't just do one thing at a time... i think i need to be overstimulated  ).

Angie: ok, your story just keeps getting better! He is probably home right now coming up w/the pick up line he is going to use on you tomorrow... just think how crushed he will be when you turn him down. Poor guy!

Fee: an "urgent" phone call??? Man, the gymnastics you guys have to go through just to spend hours on the forum. They clearly just don't understand  . I am totally fascinated by your FET protocol. I am so unfamiliar with it, you will have to keep me up to date.

Yep, so I shot up in the church bathroom tonight. Let me say that again because it sounds so funny.... I shot up in the church bathroom tonight!!! had an event for the teenage girls that i work with. so ducked out, went into a stall, hiked up my skirt and plunged in the PIO. Not nearly as comfy as when dh does it, but i still like saying it... i shot up in the church bathroom!!! All right, all right i will stop now!

Ok, girls, i am going to say this softly... i am having a beta tomorrow! I am saying it "softly" b/c i don't want to make a big deal out of it... then if it appears to be bad news, it won't be so bad and not lots of people will know. So i am just telling you guys. shhhhh!

Ditto what Sass said to Mego about lurking or not being involved. I like the swearing too. I've also been swearing in my mother's presence. I think she's cutting me some slack on it right now which is good of her (not that she is the boss of me anymore or antying...)

Yeah Ang that poor IT guy probably has his hopes up now, probably planning his outfit for the next time he has to come to the office....you just don't know what you've done do you??

OK Sass I just re-read your post and saw the small print (trust me not to see it the first time, some lawyer!) OMG, I'm almost wetting myself with excitement. How can you stand it???? I will be checking up on you tomorrow for sure. F**ng good luck on that one....

"I shot up in the church bathroom" certainly has an edgy feel to it. I'm envisioning about a hallmark movie about a troubled Christian drug user whose parents (who eventually separate due to the stress) have to scour the streets at night for her in the family station wagon as she goes further and further off the rails. Nice image. I'll store it with the soccer stadium revolving stage stirrup arrangement.

Good news, blood tests just in, estrogen levels are on the rise, will keep doing injections and have more blood tests on Monday. Yay!

Wow, some good posts! Really funny stuff. I'd totally watch the made-for-tv movie about Sassy shooting up in the church bathroom (then again, I pretty much watch anything on tv, so that goes without saying!)

Fee--so glad the estrogen is doing it's thing. How are you feeling? Gotta love the extra hormones. And you're a lawyer, huh? Impressive. Good to know...can you practice in the US? (I like to keep my options open!---It never hurts to know exactly where a good lawyer is because you never know when you might need one!)

Sassy--I'm pulling for you today--let's kick this weekend off with some good news!

Patie--Hope you have a fabu weekend. By the way, you speak English so well...What is the primary language in Dubai? (Sorry, curiosity won over politeness!)

I just got back from my ultrasound. I'm a little sad to admit that I didn't do well in the appearance part---I had to get up at 7:00 am (I am so not a morning person!) and it was 15 below with wind chill, so I wasn't feeling pretty at all. So, needless to say I didn't get any nice comments like Fee did. I kind of feel like I left the Sisterhood down.
Still, we saw the heartbeat (big relief!!!!!) so that's another worry out of the way. It's measuring at 6 weeks 3 days. So that's good. Okay, I'm going back to bed (it's my day off!!!!!!!!!)

Sassy-Let us know as soon as you hear anything! (But remember, it is awfully early to be testing beta so don't freak out too much!!!!!!)

Hi there, it's been long since my last post, a lot going on, where to start...mmmmmm

Meg......congrats on your scan!!!, seeing the HB is such a great relief!!, you made me laugh about not being able to produce yourself for the scan  ....

Sassy.....Should I say something or not??, mmmm, well I will say it slow too....good luck today!!!!!!......., hope everything is ok and that you are feeling better. It was hilarious the image of you giving yourself the PIO shot in the church bathroom, that is definitely one for the "You know you've been long enough in this if.." thread(I am not sure if I wrote the sentence as it is originally..., but you know what I am talking about...)

Fee....wow, you got compliments and everything!!!....congrats on your scan....

Angie....that is so funny, you and the IT guy, I see a good story coming, hehe. I too have that problem here, what I did is set up the "history" part of my internet browser, to be deleted everyday, so at least they don't know that I am here every f***ing day  ....

Mia.....congrats on continuing with the PIO!!!, I know that is a very good sign!!!!!!!, keep us posted!!

Me, I had another beta drawn today, they have been following my betas since my m/c in December, last week it was 17, and they wanted to repeat another one today to make sure it goes below 5, so will see.....I am also awaiting for AF to start BCP's and finally go after my FET in March.......normally I am always very regular, but after the m/c I lost complete track of it, so I have no idea when should I be expecting AF......maybe next week, who knows!!!

You know, the more I read of the posts it looks like we all have a cursing problem lately---We should have called the thread the f'ing Sisterhood of the...that would really have gotten us noticed! (And for all the right reasons...)

Vicky--I'm hoping AF shows up here soon for you. I know that the waiting is the absolute worst part of IVF (I would have bet a lot of money before starting this journey that the worst part would be the needles, but no way it's the waiting!!!) I don't think I've ever been able to pull off an AF dance, but I'm willing to try if you want me too. I'm sure you're ready to get this show on the road again!

Oh man, I have been so lazy today so far. I'm having my whole family here for the weekend (which will probably interfere with my posting time, so forgive me if I'm gone for a day or so) and my house is a huge old mess. So, have I been cleaning all morning like I promised myself. Nope. I went back to bed. Sleep, sleep, sleep. So now I get to run around like a crazy person. I tell you, if there was a prize for procrastination, I would win it every time! I would be the f'ing queen of procrastination!
