Bled During Saturday Night :o(

Postby Sarah30 » Mon May 05, 2003 8:12 am

well, paranoya is really setting in for me now. I woke yesterday morning will blood dried blood smeared all down my legs etc. Wasn't enough to get on the bed covers, but all the same was enough to make it outside my body. Phoned the clinic emergency line and had to stay in bed all day (while the sun was beaming outside). THANK GOD!! Nothing more since. Am phoning the nurse again this morning to report back.

I'm so sad today thinking about things and what could be going on inside. Have a strange empty feeling inside and the dull ache that i've had each day seems to have vanished (or could be my imagination but I'm trying to feel it and can't).

I have my scan on Friday this week (at 7 weeks) and it can't come quickly enough now.

Has anyone else experience bleeding at 6 weeks + 1 day?

Hope everyone else is ok

Love Sarah x

Hi Sarah,

I'm so sorry to see that you're going through this worry.....it just never gets any easier though. I'm just over 18 weeks now and am still regularly looking for blood!! mad..

Just try and stay positive (easier said than done I know!), because you hear of so many people having a show but still going on to have healthy babies. I know of someone at work who bled for the entire pregnancy(!), but thankfully everything went o.k. and she had a healthy baby girl.

Keep your chin up and good luck,

Suzanne.x

Sarah

I'm sorry to hear about the scary time you're having. Please try and stay positive and calm 'til Friday - they reckon that a very high percentage of pregnancies have bleeding at some stage and they go on to deliver a healthy baby.

Keep positive!

thinking of you.

Helen xx

Hi Sarah,
I haven't posted on here much, but wanted to share my experiences with you. I am nearly nine weeks pregnant with twins and have had spotting on and off so far, which has sent me into a panic, but scans have shown things to be OK. At about 6 1/2 weeks I had a prolific bleed. I felt a wet gush and rushed to the loo and lost a fair bit of red blood and a huge lump came out. I was convinced that things had gone wrong, but the clinic scanned me the next day and things were fine. The DR said it was probably just my uterus expelling a clot. I hope this puts your mind at rest a bit. Although bleeding can be a bad sign, it isn't always. Take care and good luck for Friday,
Love Laura

I was exactly 11 wks on Wed 30th april when I had a spot of blood. This turned into a bit more by the time I got to the DR. By the time I got to hospital for a scan, it was running down my leg and splashing on the floor! I resigned myself to the worse but when nurse scaned me, baby had a strong heart-beat and was really jumping around!

The next day I just had some old brown stuff when I wiped after a pee.

There's no point in telling you not to worry 'cos you will but as all the other girls have said, lots of ladies bleed and end up with healthy babies. Just try to rest.

Lots of hugs to you and dh

bb

Sarah
so sorry, you had this scare. If it helps I read something over the weekend which said that only 5% of women who bleed in early pg go on to miscarry. That means a whole whopping 95% go through what you're going through now and everything works out fine...just a few more gray hairs along the way.
Keeping everything crossed for you...you could always get an emergency appointment at the early pg unit if you can't wait 'til Friday.
LOL
Terri
xxxx

Sarah

Just wanted to say my thoughts are with you - don't know what to say but hang on in there - could be just a clot and as there is nothing since. My friend bled through the whole thing - thought being pg she would get away with panty liners - no go though.
My knickers are still singing "congratulations" for you - they most certainly have not given up hope for my FET inspiration.
Love
Tracey
xxx

Dear Sarah and everybody on board, I know exactly how you feel with the bleeding. I had similar experience in my 9/10 wks. I was told that it is common to see some bleeding in IVF pregnancies. My scan went ok. But both of myself and my husband were in tears at the time. Since then, I had some brown discharge and sometimes with hint of blood after pee. All I could do at the moment is resting in bed and pray. I don’t know what’s the end of this – I’ll be worrying about the well being of the baby even if everything else is well with the pregnancy. There isn’t an end.
Happy pregnancy for all of us.
Hi Sarah

Sorry to hear your bad news, I bet you were shocked and very worried when you saw blood..... but try and think positive till you have your scan on Friday. You never know, it may be because it's twins (I've heard this is common) or may just be nothing?????

Anyway, fingers crossed that everything's ok Friday. Keep resting till then.

Take care, Luv Rachel X
