Hi all
Don't know where to go to get this off my chest, I have really bad embryo's, my DH is fine in fact he has super sperm but my eggs are pretty crappy. I have Endo and mild PCOS, I have had 2 laparoscopies laser treatment been on clomid for 10 months had 1 IVF and 2 IUI, basically the drugs make the Endo worse so I have really bad periods and as the lesions are on my bladder I get cystitis all the time. I'm 34 and DH is 31 we have decided that we are going to try donor eggs. It has taken a huge step to give up on a dream of having my baby I'm positive about egg donation and really feel this is for us but part of me is sad at having to give up on me. Does this make sense??? If the donor eggs don't work then it's all over as my body can't take anymore and I'll have a hysterectomy, I've been reading your posts and am comforted that there is life after IVF. Sorry if this is a bit selfish I wanted to express feelings that I find dificult to get across but maybe someone will understand. My clinic has a short donor list only 6 months so I should have some idea about March. Either way 2004 is going to be make or break.
Love to all and thankyou for being here.
Aly
x

i am so sorry that you are having to go threw this.
my husband and i thought that if we could come up with the money to do my surgery and the money for ivf that maybe it would be cheaper to use some elses left over embroys. havent checked into it yet.
but i know that when we where doing ivf they had wanted to know what we wanted donr if we had any left over. that they could be donated to someone. and that is what we where going to do if we had any left. sad to say we didnt have any left.
i feel that when the baby is in you it becomes you. your body is the one taking care of the baby.
know that we are all here for you!!!!
big siber hugs((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))))))
becky
we werent blessed with our babies to raise here but we our blessed with our grandaughter

Dear Aly
You are not being selfish atall, you have been through so much. Please come on here any time and have a good vent. We all understand your pain.
I too am struggling and hoping there is a good life after IVF. I can't say there is yet, but I feel sure I will get there in the end.
The main thing Aly is that you are not alone in how you are feeling. That feeling of isolation is to me one of the worst parts of this whole business. Keep in touch.
With Love
Gracexxx

Hi Aly
Ive been looking for you , I too felt at first OMG donor eggs and that how would I feel as it wouldnt be mine , but when you have councilling and they explain that it is only DNA you do come round to the idea and I thought also I might wilter and regrett it when they were inside me but I never gave it a second thought. They really felt like mine , It will be ok with donor eggs and Im sure it will work for you , get on the list soon as it does take time , I too will be joining a list when we go for our follow up appointment on the 18th Dec , You have been through such a lot you deserve it , keep telling yourself that and you WILL get there.

2004 is going to be our year

Trace x
