I went in for prog check and it was over 20 so I am still in the race. On and off light crampiness again today, feels like my period wants to come :( . I was so scared to get the news about levels today that I prayed and prayed to God to let me receive positive results. I let out a big fat sigh of relief when my nurse said all is well and she would see me Fri for prego test....prego test rang in my ears and I envisioned a BFP. What a sweet feeling when God blesses you!

Wow you were on vag inserts for 13 weeks that is a long time. I am not familiar with what happens after you take prego test. My clinic tells me what I need to know as each step comes up. I use these forums to find out what is to come :D . I can see why you would be happy to take the last insert, its kinda messy ( tmi) so I am a pantyliner addict right now.

Are you on prenatals Kerry?

Nothopeless how are you doing?

Hello Ladies-

I hope you had a great weekend... I got a lot of stuff done and watched a ton of movies because it was rainy here in MA. As for my body... I was quite concerned because since IUI last Tues. I was having pains which felt like they were in my ovaries (although it was eminating higher up as well and I've had kidney issues in the past so I honestly couldn't tell where it was coming from.) But I chalked it up to side effects from the shots. But Sat. and Sunday morning I was in even more pain and was considering going to the ER. It hurt wicked bad when I urinated and sex was unbearable. I decided to wait to see how I felt today and I'd call my primary care as well as the IVF clinic. It felt 50% better and, strangely, only hurt on the right side today. So of course, now I'm paranoid about a tubal preg. But I'll give it another day.

Nothopeless it sounds like you overstimulated. I say that because I overstimed when I did IVF. My symptoms were I got a sharp pain when I tingled, the amount of tinkle decreased, it hurt when I walked and i was bloated like crazy (OMGI can't imagine intercourse...oucheee). I too called the doc because I thought they might have punctured my ovaries or something, I was in some serious pain. I went in and they confirmed that my ovaries were 10 ( normal size is 5).

How many follies did you have?

They told me to increase my salt intake (drink gatorade) and take Tylenol and I was better in a 4 to 5 days. It may not take 4 to 5 days for you to feel better because you don't get as many follies with IUI as with IVF (I had 32 follies....my poor ovaries).

I think it is a good idea to contact your doc and let them give you an ultrasound to confirm that your ovaries are enlarged.

As for me no more cramping, I actually feel nothing. Praying each day that AF does not show her ugly red face ( smile).

Keep in touch

Hi again girls-
Well each day the pain is lessening, and I haven't taken any tylenol or anything. Angel, you're right- it does hurt when i walk and especially when I pee. But i'm relieved it's subsiding. I can't imagine it's overstimulation since I only had 4 follies. Maybe I'm just overly sensitive. I'm glad you're feeling well too. When is your bloodtest? You know I think of you gals every day.

Nothopeless I am glad your pain is subsiding because it annoying to have that feeling when u need to tinkle. Make sure you take it easy. My doc said resting is the best remedy for that.

I am feeling scared to death ladies. Ok I caved in and took a test and got a BFN. Today I am crampin again and I saw barely there pink when I wiped, then the pink was gone. I don't know if it was AF or implantation. I am so so prayn it was implantation. Everytime I tinkle I pray that i don't see red.

Nothopeless its mutual....I think of you ladies daily because you guys can relate to what I am going through. So through your stories I maintain emotional balance.

Nothopeless how are you feeling otherwise? Do you feel anything at all
( crampin, tired,etc.)

Kerry how is the pregnancy coming along?

Ladies keep in touch and know that you guys are on my mind and in my heart.

Stay strong and positive.

Baby dust to all of us.

Lynn you are very naughty!!! Stay away from those pregnancy tests!! Yea it could be implantation bleedy as many women have that symptom. How many days post the iui are you? I didn't have any bleeding but they say that it can happen between days 6 and 10. I know its hard but try and stay positive. What day is your beta?

Hi Nothopeless I'm glad the pain is going away.

Hi again ladies-

Yes, my side pain is feeling 90% better. But I'm still avoiding intercourse. :) As for symptoms, it's just sore boobs for me. But like I said, I've had that since a few days before IUI so it must be the drugs.
To be honest, I'm just waiting for AF and will be praying in a few days that I don't see anything when I go to the bathroom either. I definitely hold out hope that it worked this time, but it's so hard to stay positive after going through this for 4 years. Some days I'm all out positive and others its just hard to get my hopes up. It's like living your life in 2 week increments: Period... 2 weeks til ovulation... 2 weeks til period... then start all over. It's exhausting! But I guess I just have to hold out til next tuesday and if AF does rear her ugly head I already have my IVF consult scheduled for Oct. 1.
The good news today is the weather is absolutely New England-perfect... upper 60's, sunny, low humidity! And my dh, mom, brother and I are going to a Cirque du Soleil show tonight (and early anniversary present to myself and dh, as well as a belated bday gift to my brother). We're meeting for dinner first so it should be a good time.

Nothopeless you have such a good attitiude towards this iui/ivf rollercoaster. I think that is the key to all of this, to stay positive but also have a plan to move towards if it doesn't work out. You are right after you have been through it all a few times you become realistic about getting a positive result. By my third cycle I thought great if it works this time but if it doesn't it's not going to crush me like it has before. Sounds like you have a great night planned with your dh and brother. Go and have a good night a try and forget about the 2ww for a few hours!!

Well ladies I guess my positive thoughts weren't enough... I got my period today. :( But I'm confused about why AF came 5 days early especially with the strange pain I was dealing with. So I'm going to call the clinic tomorrow.

One Sweet Angel I'm still praying for your one sweet angel to arrive. Keep us posted.

Oh Nothopeless that sucks!!!!! I'm not sure about why af comes sometimes late then other times early. I think our bodies don't know if they are coming or going with all the meds we put through our system duiring the iui cycle. Don't worry girl it will happen for you and you will get that BFP!!!!!! Big hugs to you, go get yourself a BIG glass of wine!!

One Sweet Angel-

You've got me on pins and needles... I assume since your IUI was on 9/5 that you've had your blood test! You've got to tell us how you're doing. :) I've got my fingers crossed for you.

Ladies, sorry I have been away I was so upset that I secluded myself from EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE. I got a BFN  ! We have decided to unblock my tube ( scheduled for mid October) and try try again. My mood is a little better not great but getting better. I find myself having difficulty in seeing the joy in things. I graduated last week and while I am proud of myself I definitely skimped out on feeling the joy. I guess time will heal this little funk I am in.

Nothopeless I am so sorry to hear about ur BFN, it really sucks. What is the next step for you? Will you be switching to IVF or will you cycle IUI again? Did you find out if the pains in ur side had anything to do with AF coming early? AF for me came just like my cycle ( spotted for 2 days and got full flow on the 14TH day).

Kerry how is your bundle of joy moving around in there? I want to hear about your pg stories it gives me something to look forward to

I'm thinking of you ladies.

One Sweet Angel-

Man, I'm on these message boards while at work and sometimes it takes all I have not to bust out crying. This totally sucks doesn't it? And, I too feel like secluding myself. Coincedentally a day or two after AF showed up I caught a cold and called in sick. It was nice just to be home and sulk by myself. My poor dh has to put up with me being miserable on so many levels. It certainly is difficult dealing with all my friends that are pregnant or new mommies, and my pregnant coworkers. I don't even talk to them anymore...

My next step is to discuss IVF with the doctor in early Oct. But I'm scared and feel like I need another vacation already! But I'll let you know what we decide. How bout you? When will you have the tubes unblocked and how invasive is that? What will the next step be after that procedure?
